  • Python command line UI

    Hey guys/gals I'm writing a python script that fixes some duplicate issues on my database. I would like to display some progress status to the users, currently I just print it like this: print "Merged " + str(idx) + " out of " + str(totalCount); The problem is that it prints that in a new line for every record and that does not look so good :) I'd like to either always print the string above on the same line on the screen or use some smart widget that displays it in some sort of progress bar. I intent to run this on the command line, any suggestions will be much appreciated.

  • Jquery UI Dialog Weird Behavior in Firefox - Whole screen becomes non-clickable on second overlay

    I have two links that show up two modal dialogs. These dialogs are static divs in the html of the page with their own ids. When I click the first link, the first dialog shows up and behaves correctly. But when I click the second link, the whole screen grays out and everything becomes unclickable, including the second dialog. It happens also the other way around, clicking the second link, and then the first link. This problems occurs only in Firefox but not in IE. Any ideas why this is happening in Firefox?

    Hey guys, I don't think I'm getting it right. Here is my most recent query that I believe is almost working. SELECT max(sender_id) as sender_id, subject, MAX(id) as message_id, MAX(created_at) as updated_at FROM messages where (recipient_id = #{current_user} and recipient_deleted = 'f') or sender_id = #{current_user} GROUP BY subject ORDER BY max(created_at) DESC ; Basically the goal is to fetch all recent messages of a user, group them by subject, and make sure that the photo that is showing up is the other party's photo, never the current user. (also need the most recent message body and message count but that is for another time) Here is what I think is wrong. doing max(sender_id) is wrong, since the current_user id could be higher than the sender's id. I am using the sender_id in the html page to fetch the user's photo.

    i cant for the life of me figure out how to change the date from default mm/dd/yyyy to the european dd/mm/yyyy the manual states to use: $.datepicker.formatDate('yy-mm-dd', new Date(2007, 1 - 1, 26)); so far i have: $('#next_date').datepicker(); which shows the calendar fine but im not sure where the first line of code goes. this for example disables the calendar, nothing shows up, no js errors reported $('#next_date').datepicker.formatDate('yy-mm-dd', new Date(2007, 1 - 1, 26));

The fql which is happening at the web is giving me right results but the fql happening at the iphone is not giving all the results. select name, pic_square, pic_big, uid, sex, birthday, relationship_status , current_location, meeting_sex, interests, music, tv, movies, books, quotes, education_history, work_history from user where uid = XXXXXXX is giving me different result in web when compared to the iphone. I tried to do so by using $("#slider").slider("option", "values", [50,80]); This call will set the values, but the element will not update the slider positions. Calling $('#slider").trigger('change'); does not help either. Is there another/better way to modify the value AND slider position ?

    I have run in to issue that days that have to be disabled are shifted to the next day.     Hi, I am trying to use jQuery to position an inpage div (Context-Menu) relative to a clicked tablerow on a webpage. This works fine until I add an offset with either "left" or "margin-left" to the outer container. Using padding-left works.... The relevant code is: $('#supermenu').position({ my: "left top", at: "left top", of: $(event.target).closest('tr'), collision: "fit" }); The caller looks like: <tr onclick="getMenu(event)"><td>.... What happens: The left margin is added "twice" to the X Offset, so the Menu is not aligned to the left border of the table but somewhere right of it. The offset from the border is exactly the offset from the outer container. Anybody can shed some light? Oliver

Problem is that when I move item from the middle of the list it leaves an empty space behind. How can I make list shrink according to the how many items is actually in the list? I know it is because I already have a mod rewrite to remove the .htm from the page name to return clean urls but I don't know what I need to do to accept a clean url and return the page.   • Need help with jQuery UI Accordion navigationFilter option

    I'm building an accordion for navigation. Each section of the accordion has a set of links. The firing code looks like this: $(document).ready(function() { $(".selector").accordion({ collapsible: true, active: false, navigation: true }); }); This all worked fine and dandy until one of the links in each set was edited to point to a single file, call it foo.html. So now if you navigate to foo.html, the location.href matches every section of the accordion (since each section has a link to it) and that opens all the sections, defeating the purpose of the accordion. So I'm pretty sure I need to use the navigationFilter option but I've googled the living hell out of it and haven't found any examples of how to build the function associated with it. Help me, Stack Overflow!
