• Cannot access MOSS site from within MOSS server

  I am trying to access my MOSS site through the browser on the web server itself. I am using the same URL that is used for external access to the site. When I hit it from outside the server, I can see most of the site, which has anonymous access, and can use a domain account to get into secure areas. When I hit it from within the server, I get prompted for a password, but no matter what I enter it seems to reject it and just presents another password dialog. Has anyone seen anything like this?

  I want to create a MS Build script (executed by way of TFS Build Server) that will accept a list of project names that need to be built, unit tested and deployed. The reason is that I want one script to serve many 'like' structured solutions. All the solutions are SOA in nature and share the same framework, project structure and deployment requirements. I've done this in Nant and acheived great success out of having one build file serving 4 solutions - it just accepted a list of web project names to compile and deploy to our test/uat environments. What is the syntax to cycle through a collection of project names suppled as params via MS Build?

  Hi all, I got a detailed answer to my previous question about TinyMCE editor (link text) The answer raised a new question . In case I want to use more then one TinyMCE package in my ASP.Net Project For example to use the Development Package and the .Net Package(Or use the Development Package , the .Net Package and the JQuery Package ). what steps do I need to take to include them in my solution? In TinyMCE web site Installation page ( wiki.moxiecode.com/index.php/TinyMCE:Installation ) they wrote : "You should extract TinyMCE in your wwwroot or site domain root folder." But the problem is all the different packages unzip to the same folder name that is tinymce. There can't be more then one folder with the tinymce name in the site domain root folder. (files will be overwritten) Of course I can rename them for example to TinyMCEDev and TinyMceDotNet ,but what about code redundancy issues etc ? Thanks

  I have defined a collection in Hibernate like this: ... public class Item { ... @ElementCollection List<Object> relatedObjects; } It creates a mapping table with colums item_id and object_id. The problem is that object_id seems to be unique. In other words I can not have two different items being related to the same object. But that is what I want. I would like the combination of item_id and object_id to be unique. How do I do that?

  Hi, I am using the flex datagrid to allow the user to edit some data. My update process relies on a CollectionEvent of type update. Basically I catch this event package the values and update the database. However, if the user edits a cell then moves to edit a cell in the same row the value is updated but a collection event is not fired. Only when clicking out of the row the event is fired. Has anyone had experience with this. I have heard the datagrid is a little quirky is this one of those quirks or am I doing this all wrong? Any help appreciated.

• Is using ReaderWriterLockSlim a bad idea for long lived objects?

  I am trying to track down the reason that an application has periods of bad performance. I think that I have linked the bad performance to the points where Garbage Collection is run for Gen 2. I get a profiling tool (CLR Profiler) and was quite surprised by the results. In my test I was spawning and processing millions of objects. However the biggest hog of the Gen 2 space comes from something Called Threading.ReaderWriterCount which comes from System.Threading.ReaderWriterLockSlim::InitializeThreadCounts. I know nothing about the inner workings of ReaderWriterLockSlim but from what I am getting from the reports it is okay to have 1 or 2 Locks for longer lived objects but try and use other locks if you are going to have many smaller objects. Does anyone have any comments or experience with ReaderWriterLockSlim and/or what to look for if it seems that GC is killing application performance?

  Is there a standard site structure format? The use of this would be for export and import into a CMS or framework to define the urls, content, metadata for a website.   I have a Ruby on Rails site that was only needed for a short period of time during which users added various objects to a mySQL database, commenting on them, associating themselves with them, etc. etc. etc. The question is this: the site is no longer needed until a week next year around this time when I will clear the database and use it again (starting from scratch). What's the best way to archive the current site so that the existing content is still viewable but no new content can be added? By best way, I mean the method by which the least system resources will be used, the server will be the safest, etc. Any suggestions?

  I'm trying to create a link from an external site that arrives at a particular, internal panel on a JQTouch site I'm building. However the browser always opens the home panel of the JQT site no matter what anchor tag I use in the link. e.g. If I try to link to the User Interface panel in the official JQTouch demo I use http://www.jqtouch.com/preview/demos/main/#ui but the home panel shows in the browser and not the sub-panel I requested.   Hi, I've got a Customer object with a Collection of CustomerContacts IEnumerable Contacts { get; set; } In some other code I'm using Reflection and have the PropertyInfo of Contacts property var contacts = propertyInfo.GetValue(customerObject, null); I know contacts has at least one object in it, but how do I get it out? I don't want to Cast it to IEnumerable because I want to keep my reflection method dynamic. I thought about calling FirstOrDefault() by reflection - but can't do that easily because its an extension method. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

  I need to change the layout of the Search Block in Drupal. It’s currently ordered Search Button ‘Search this site’ Search Input but the designs I have want it to be Search Input ‘Search this site’ Search Button How do I go around changing the order in Drupal? I can change the search-block-form.tpl.php so the submit button is at the end but the ‘Search this site’ always appears before the input and I would like it after. I hope that makes sense.
