• Macros no longer working in VS2005

  I'm using VS2005 on Vista. I'm using some macros, but now they have suddenly stopped working. No error messages of any kind. I am not aware of having done anything that could trigger this. I have made sure that "Allow macros to run" is checked in Tools-Options-Addin/Macro Security. I have tried running the macros from a keyboard shortcut, from the Macro Explorer, and from the Macros IDE, all in vain: The little spinning icon displays shortly (<1 sec) and then disappears without the macro being executed. I have tried putting a breakpoint on the first line of the macro and then executing it from the main IDE, with no effect (the breakpoint isn't hit). I have tried the same from the Macro IDE: The state changes to "running", but the breakpoint isn't hit. I have to break the execution manually. Any ideas?

• A strange problem using jquery in IE6.

  I am using jquery load method to update divs , it works great until I test my code under IE6. The problem is : under IE6 , when I click a button to trigger a load method , the page is remaining unchanged until I move my cursor, that means if I click my mouse and keep my hand away from the mouse , the page is unchanged , if I move the mouse , the page is updated. This problem is only occurred under IE6 . IE7 , IE8, Firefox all have no problem. Have you guys ever encountered this kind of problem ?

• How do I debug random Timeout::Error: execution expired

  We are using Rails 2.3.5 and have been experiencing seemingly random Timeout::Error: execution expired errors. The errors reported by Hoptoad are not consistently in any particular controller and show up everywhere from user sessions to account settings to some of our core functionality controllers. The vast majority of requests do not Timeout but there are enough to cause concern. Is this normal? If so, what are some things to look at to decrease the occurance? If not, has anyone run into this and what are some common problems that can trigger an error like this.

• Creating a QLineEdit search field for items displayed in a QListView

  I want to create a search field that filters the items shown in a QListView. Basically the user could type in "foo" and only items with "foo" in the DisplayRole are shown. I already have a few ideas on how to do this, but thought I'd ask those more experienced than I. My idea would be to use some signals and slots to set a filter in the QAbstractItem model and trigger an update() in the QListView. Are there any helper methods in QListView for filtering I may have missed? Is there a canonical way of handling this I haven't run across?

• Change input text to regular text on blur and ability to edit jQuery

  I'm creating a form where I'm eliminating the use of a save button. The form is made up of input text boxes and textareas. After the user enters data into the input field, I want to trigger an onBlur function and change the input into a span that contains the information that the user entered. I also want to have the ability to edit this information, so if the user clicks on the newly created span with text, it will turn back into the input field with the current information for their editing pleasure. For reference, I'm looking to have a functionality pretty much like on editing a photo title on Flickr. If possible, I'd also like to have the textbox show "saving..." for half a second after the blur to reflect interaction with server.

  I'm developing an InfoPath form for Forms Services. It has these views: View 1 asks the user to input some basic initial data View 2 calls a web service based on data in View 1 and populates drop-downs accordingly At the bottom of View 1 I've added a Next > button to move to View 2. As part of clicking that button I would like the inputs in View 1 to be validated first. However, there don't appear to be any rules that validate a view or anything in the object model to execute validation rules. Is there code that can trigger a field's validation event?

• How to clean sys.conversation_endpoints

  I have a table, a trigger on the table implemented using service broker. More than Half million records are inserted daily into the table. The asynchronous SP is used to check sveral condition by using inserted data and update other tables. It was running fine for last 1 month and the SP was get executed withing 2-3 seconds of insertion of record. But now it take more than 90 minute. At present sys.conversation_endpoints have too much records. (Note that all the table are truncated daily as I do not need those records day after) Other database activities are normal (average 60% CPU Utilization). Now where i need to look?? I can re-create database without any problem but i don't think it is a good way to resolve the problem

• Forcing the Soft Keyboard open

  I am trying to force the Soft Keyboard open in an Activity and grab everything that is entered as I want to handle the input myself, I don't have an EditText. Currently I have tried this but it does not work. I would like the Soft Keyboardto open below mAnswerTextView (Note: it is a TextView not EditText). • Compressing three individual jpeg pics containing temporal redundancy?

  I am interfacing and embedded device with a camera module that returns a single jpeg compressed frame each time I trigger it. I would like to take three successive shots (approx 1 frame per 1/4 second) and further compress the images into a single file. The assumption here is that there is a lot of temporal redundancy, therefore lots of room for more compression across the three frames (compared to sending three separate jpeg images). I will be implementing the solution on an embedded device in C without any libraries and no OS. The camera will be taking pics in an area with very little movement (no visitors or screens in the background, maybe a tree with swaying branches), so I think my assumption about redundancy is pretty solid. When the file is finally viewed on a pc/mac, I don't mind having to write something to extract the three frames (so it can be a nonstandard cluge) So I guess the actual question is: What is the best way to compress these three images together given the fact that they are already in JPEG format (it is a possibly to convert back to a raw image, but if i dont have too...)

  Hi, I would like to unlock screen and switching it on to show a popup on an event trigger. I am able to unlock the screen using newKeyguardLock = km.newKeyguardLock(HANDSFREE); newKeyguardLock.disableKeyguard(); on KeyGuardService but I cannot turn on the screen. I am using wl = pm.newWakeLock(PowerManager.SCREEN_BRIGHT_WAKE_LOCK, HANDSFREE); wl.acquire(); but with no success. The screen still remains off. How can I achieve this? Thanks in advance. From reading several resources I learned that you should create your own IPrinciple which holds this. But I don't want to trigger the database every authentication request. Any recommendations on how to handle this?   I've been trying to select the User Defined Language programmatically unsuccessfully through various means, another problem is the files I need to apply the user defined language have no file extension, old DOS files; NPPM_SETCURRENTLANGTYPE (only enumerates built-in languages) Macros don't seem to sense changes with language selection, I was hoping to record a macro then trigger it with NPPExec. Notepad++ accepts only in-built languages for starting from the command line I can't select a UDL as the default language for a new document. ...and my attempts at overriding an in-built language seem to have failed. I've copied details from userDefinedLang.xml to langs.xml don't work. The highlighting doesn't change. Thanks for any help!!

• Is it possible to force ignore the :hover pseudoclass for iPhone/iPad users?

  I have some css menus on my site that expand with :hover (without js) This works in a semi-broken way on iDevices, for example a tap will activate the :hover rule and expand the menu, but then tapping elsewhere doesn't remove the :hover. Also if there is a link inside the element that is :hover'ed, you have to tap twice to activate the link (first tap triggers :hover, second tap triggers link). I've been able to make things work nicely on iphone by binding the touchstart event. The problem is that sometimes mobile safari still chooses to trigger the :hover rule from the css instead of my touchstart events! I know this is the problem because when I disable all the :hover rules manually in the css, mobile safari works great (but regular browsers obviously don't anymore). Is there a way to dynamically "cancel" :hover rules for certain elements when the user is on mobile safari? I'm using jQuery.

  Hello all, I have been trying to convert my rails 2.2.2 app over to jQuery, and would like so without using jrails. The only reference material I can find on the subject is Railscasts Episode 136. Ryan goes over how to use jQuery to post a form and handle the response in a .js.erb file. My questions is has anyone tried to use jQuery with .js.erb files with anchors as the trigger? As a replacement for "link_to_remote". I have gotten jQuery to do a .get to submit this link on click to the controller, but I cannot seem to get it to go into the .js.erb file. Thanks

I want to open certain links in a new tab while ignoring ones with a certain class (before you ask I cannot put classes on the links I am trying to catch as they come from a CMS). I want to exclude links with class "button" OR "generic_link" I have tried $(".content_box a[class!=button]").click(function (e) { e.preventDefault(); window.open($(this).attr('href')); }); But that doesn't seem to work, also how do I do an OR statement to include "generic_link" in the exclusion? • Run JavaScript after a DropDownList is DataBound

  I need to trigger a JavaScript function to be called AFTER a DropDownList on my ASP.NET WebForms page is DataBound, because the SelectedIndex of this DropDownList is the parameter to the JavaScript function. I've tried this various ways, but it seems that if I do it with pure JavaScript onload by using ClientScript.RegisterStartUpScript, the control can be found (because it hasn't been assigned a clientID yet?). If I use jQuery (document).ready { } it says that the DropDownList has no selectedIndex.value. So I need some JavaScript to run AFTER the control has a value set by the DataBind. How can I accomplish this? onChanged won't work because I need the function to fire on the first page load, with no user input. DataBinding the SelectedIndex of the DropDownList doesn't cause the JavaScript onChanged event to fire.

  I'm using jquery with the jquery form plugin. I read through a bunch of posts, the docs, etc., and I'm still having trouble with what I believe to be simple. I have a form with some simple text inputs and a couple textareas, and I have this link that I want to trigger submission of that form to a specific method (/email): <a id="email-data">Send Email</a> and this jquery in doc ready: $('#email-data').click(function() { var options = { url: '/email/', success: alert('Email sent.') }; $('#report-giftcard-sales-form').ajaxSubmit(options); }); So I would expect it to submit to my /email method, but no such luck. Currently I just have the /email method logging a debug message, so it's as simple as can be. Any help is greatly appreciated.
