  There are 3 tables. Products, Options and Prod_Opts_relations. The latter holds product_id and option_id so i should be able to figure out which options are selected for any given product. Now i want to retrieve all options from the options table where the value of an extra alias field should hold checked or unchecked depending on the existance of a mathing record in the relations table for a give product id. Thus far i came up with this: SELECT IF(IN(SELECT id_option FROM prod_opt_relations WHERE id_product='18'),'y','n') AS booh ,optionstable.id AS parent_id ,optionstable.name_en AS parent_english ,optionstable.name_es AS parent_spanish FROM product_options AS optionstable WHERE 1 resulting in syntax errors.   hello there, I would like to know how to add a color to a line in sharepoint 2007 list if in one field there is a specific text contained ? for example : I have a list that have three fields: list1 1.id 2.name 3.full description now i want to show only the first and the second field to the user. list1 id name 1 abc 2 edv second thing, i want to give a color (let say red) to a row that contains in the hidden field - "full description", a text with the word for example 'color'.   In my edit.haml file, I have =render :partial => 'old_question_tags', :locals => {:current_question => @question.id}. I'd like to pass the value in :current_question to a link_to_remote call in _old_question_tags.haml: #{link_to_remote image_tag('red-x.png', {:alt => "Remove #{t.name} tag"}), :url => {:action => 'remove_old_tag_from_question', :tag_remove => t.id, :current_question => current_question}} But I get this error on the link_to_remote line: ActionView::TemplateError (undefined local variable or method `current_question' for #<ActionView::Base:0xdb2fec8>) In _old_question_tags.haml, if I just print current_question (using =current_question), it prints the number without any problems. How do I properly pass that value to the partial so that I can pass it to the link_to_remote call?

• Organizing a random list of objects in Python.

  So I have a list that I want to convert to a list that contains a list for each group of objects. ie ['objA.attr1', 'objC', 'objA.attr55', 'objB.attr4'] would return [['objA.attr1', 'objA.attr55'], ['objC'], ['objB.attr4']] currently this is what I use: givenList = ['a.attr1', 'b', 'a.attr55', 'c.attr4'] trgList = [] objNames = [] for val in givenList: obj = val.split('.')[0] if obj in objNames: id = objNames.index(obj) trgList[id].append(val) else: objNames.append(obj) trgList.append([val]) #print trgList It seems to run a decent speed when the original list has around 100,000 ids... but I am curious if there is a better way to do this. Order of the objects or attributes does not matter. Any ideas?

  I'm attempting to implement a delegate Service provider by overriding the bean definition for the original service with my delegate Service. However, as the name would imply, the delegate Service needs a reference to the original service to delegate calls to. I'm having trouble figuring out how to override the bean definition while using the original bean def without running into a circular reference issue. • Sending Variables in Post without the input tag

  I want to send only one variable via the post method. I have queried the database and have to post $row[id] variable to the page along with the form. To send the user's input we simply write like <input type="text" name="xyz"></input> and then we access it as $_POST[xyz]. This way we can send a variable that a user write. But, I want to send something that user has not written but there in my sending file as $row['id']. So, I want to send this variable as well. How can I do that? And also how will I be able to access that?

  I have a page with a menu that uses JQuery AJAX calls to populate the page with. To reflect any changes I update the URL with a #... instead of ?... or /... So an URL that originally reads : htpp://localhost/pages/index/id=1 would look like : http://localhost/#pages/index/id=1. If a user bookmarks this, and later comes back to the page, I wonder if it's possible to use the second URL in my route decoding, or if I have to load it blank, then use the same JS/Ajax to populate the page? In my mind it is problematic to use Ajax in these cases if a user copies the link and mails it to a friend with JavaScript disabled. edit#1: Fixed some spelling.

  I dream of creating a control which works something like this: <asp:SqlDataSource id="dsFoo" runat="server" ConnectionString="<%$ ConnectionStrings:conn %>" SelectCommandType="StoredProcedure" SelectCommand="cmd_foo"> </asp:SqlDataSource> <Custom:DataViewSource id="dvFoo" runat="server" rowfilter="colid &gt; 10" datasourceid="dsFoo"> </Custom:DataViewSource> I can accomplish the same thing in the code behind by executing cmd_foo, loading the results into a DataTable, then loading them into a DataView with a RowFilter. The goal would be to have multiple DataViews for one DataSource with whatever special filters I wish to apply to the select portion of the DataSource. I could imagine extending this to be more powerful. I tried peaking at this and this but am a bit confused on a few points. Currently, my main issue is being unsure where to grab the output data of the DataSource so I can stick it into a DataTable.

I have two tables: lessons_slots which is the table for every class such as: -------------------- -ID name slots- -1 basics 10 - -2 advanced 10 - -3 basics 10 - --------------------- The other table is class_roll, which holds enrollment info, such as: -------------------- -sID classid firstname lastname- -1 1 Jo Schmo -2 1 Person Two ... -13 2 Jo Schmo --------------------- What I want to do, I select everyone who has not had the advanced class (for example). I've tried doing SELECT * FROM lessons_slots LEFT JOIN class_roll ON lessons_slots.ID = class_roll.classid WHERE lessons_slots.name != 'advanced' But that doesn't work. Any ideas?

  Hi- I have two different schemas in Oracle (say S1, S2). And two tables in those schemas(say S1.Table1, S2.Table2). I want to query these two tables from schema S1. Both S1 and S2 are in different databases. From DB1 - Schema S1, I want to do something like this, select T1.Id from S1.Table1 T1 , S2.Table2 T2 Where T1.Id = T2.refId I know one way of doing this would be creating a DB Link for the second schema and use it in querying. But sadly, I don't have priv to create DB link. Is there some way to do without DB link, like, in TOAD, you can compare two schema objects. But again, two schema objects and it is general comparision. Not like querying them. Any ideas, suggestions are greatly appriciated. Thanks in advance.

• PostGres - run a query in batches?

  Is it possible to loop through a query so that if (for example) 500,000 rows are found, it'll return results for the first 10,000 and then rerun the query again? So, what I want to do is run a query and build an array, like this: $result = pg_query("SELECT * FROM myTable"); $i = 0; while($row = pg_fetch_array($result) ) { $myArray[$i]['id'] = $row['id']; $myArray[$i]['name'] = $row['name']; $i++; } But, I know that there will be several hundred thousand rows, so I wanted to do it in batches of like 10,000... 1- 9,999 and then 10,000 - 10,999 etc... The reason why is because I keep getting this error: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 3 bytes) Which, incidentally, I don't understand how 3 bytes could exhaust 512M... So, if that's something that I can just change, that'd be great, although, still might be better to do this in batches?

• Swapping two jQuery draggable list items not working properly (with jsFiddle example)

  The minimalist working example below swaps the two boxes when box 'one' is dragged and dropped on box 'two'. The problem is that when box 'one' is dropped, its style has 'top' & 'left' values causing it to be placed away from where it should drop. Its class includes 'ui-draggable-dragging'. It seems the top & left values are related to the amount the elements were dragged before the drop. And the dragging was 'interrupted' hence the residual 'ui-draggable-dragging' class?   Hi I have an SecurityGroup entity witch has Memebers and Application properties. Application is a lookup. So securityGroups is in many-to-many relationship with User table and one-to-many with LookupApplciation (FK) Now I want to select all application linked to a specific user. I have follow criteria: public IList<LookupApplication> GetApplicationByUser(User user) { return this.Session.CreateCriteria(typeof(SecurityGroup), "sg") .CreateAlias("Members", "u") .CreateAlias("Application", "al") .Add(Restrictions.Eq("u.Id", user.Id)) .List<LookupApplication>(); } It trows an exception The value "Edi.Advance.Core.Model.Security.SecurityGroup" is not of type "Edi.Advance.Core.Model.Lookups.LookupApplication" and cannot be used in this generic collection. Parameter name: value and it is right. How can I transform the result to IList<LookupApplication>? Thanks

• Progress dialog getting dismissed before the thread gets finished - Android

  Hi experts, I use the code provided by Fedor in the following link, in order to get the latitude and longitude from my simple demo app. I am trying to fetch the latitude and longitude using the MyLocation class provided by him in that link. What is the simplest and most robust way to get the user's current location in Android? I try to fetch the latitude and longitude on a button click. On the button click, I start an async task and delegate the location fetching work to the do in background method of my asynctask. pre execute - progressdialog initiated. post execute - progress dialog dismissed. This is how, the progress dialog in my code should work and here is the issue which I have. THe progress dialog gets initiated correctly, but even before the latitude and longitude gets printed in the doinbackground method, the progress dialog gets dismissed. I do not understand why this happens. I gave the key of the Party object as a parameter to the "partyKey" named parameter. The model is like this: Party has multiple Participants. I want to query a participant based on the party and the name of the participant. I just can't figure out how to filter using the party. What options do I have?

  Qt3.3 used to allow for multiple selections in the QTextEdit widget by calling the setSelection() function and specifying a different selection id (selNum) as the last argument in that function. In Qt4, to create a selection, I do it by creating a QTextCursor object and call the setPosition() or movePosition() methods. I have no problems being able to create a single selection of text. I am, however, unable to find a way to create multiple selections. The methods in Qt4 do not have an argument which allows you to set a selection id, nor can i find any other function in the QTextCursor or QTextEdit which looks like it might allow me to do so. Has this feature been completely removed from Qt4? or has is there a new and different way of doing it? Thanks. Ronny

  I am creating some elements in javascript like so: var parent = document.createElement('div'); parent.setAttribute('id', 'parent'); var child = document.createElement('div'); child.setAttribute('class', 'child'); parent.appendChild(child); otherelement.appendChild(parent); I have a stylesheet which has styles for #parent and .child. However, it appears the styles are being applied to the parent but not the child. Does ie6 only support styles on id's and not classes or am I doing something wrong?
