  • Get Eclipse to recognize the maps api

    - by NickTFried
    Hi I'm developing an Android app and trying to incorporate maps into one of my sub-activities. Having followed all of the instructions from Android, my java file will not recognize the "MapActivity" or the import statements to include the needed api. Here is my XML manifest and my class file. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <uses-permission android:name="android.permissions.INTERNET"/> <uses-permission android:name="android.permissions.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION"/> <application android:icon="@drawable/icon" android:label="@string/app_name"> <uses-library android:name="com.google.android.maps" /> <activity android:name=".CadetCommand" android:label="@string/app_name"> <intent-filter> <action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" /> <category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" /> </intent-filter> </activity> <activity android:name="RedLight"></activity> <activity android:name="PTCalculator"></activity> </application> <uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="7"/> here is my java file: package edu.elon.cs.mobile; import com.google.android.maps.MapActivity; import com.google.android.maps.MapView; import android.os.Bundle; public class LandNav extends MapActivity{ } Any suggestion would help.

  • Shopify JSONP issue in ajaxAPI

    - by Aaron U
    I'm getting some odd response back from shopify ajaxapi for jsonp. If you cURL a Shopify ajax api location http://storename.domain.com/cart.json?callback=handler you will get a jsonp response. But something is breaking the same request in browsers. It appears to be related to compression? Here are some responses from each browser when attempting to call the jsonp as documented. Firefox: The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression. Internet Explorer: Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage Chrome/Safari/Webkit: Cannot decode raw data, or failed (chrome) Attempted use via jquery: $.getJSON('http://storename.domain.com/cart.json?callback=?', function(data) { ... }); // Results in a failed request, viewable network request panels of dev tools Here is some output from cURL including response headers: $ curl -i http://storename.domain.com/cart.json?callback=CALLBACK_FUNC HTTP/1.1 200 OK Server: nginx Date: Tue, 18 Dec 2012 13:48:29 GMT Content-Type: application/javascript; charset=utf-8 Transfer-Encoding: chunked Connection: keep-alive Status: 200 OK ETag: cachable:864076445587123764313132415008994143575 Cache-Control: max-age=0, private, must-revalidate X-Alternate-Cache-Key: cachable:11795444887523410552615529412743919200 X-Cache: hit, server X-Request-Id: a0c33a55230fe42bce79b462f6fe450d X-UA-Compatible: IE=Edge,chrome=1 Set-Cookie: _session_id=b6ace1d7b0dbedd37f7787d10e173131; path=/; HttpOnly X-Runtime: 0.033811 P3P: CP="NOI DSP COR NID ADMa OPTa OUR NOR" CALLBACK_FUNC({"token":null,"note":null,"attributes":{},"total_price":0,...}) Also related unanswered here: Shopify Ajax API JSONP supported? • VB.Net Validate an xml against a schema (strange problem)

    - by Apeksha
    I have written a small XML validator, that takes in an XML file and an XML schema and validates the XML files against that schema. It works well, except for an XML file, with this content: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <xc:program xmlns:xc="http:\\www.something.com\Schema\XC10" xc:version="4.0.22.0" > <xc:namespaceDecls> <xc:namespaceDecl xc:namespaceDeclURI="urn:swift:xsd:abc"> <xc:namespaceDeclPrefix>n</xc:namespaceDeclPrefix> </xc:namespaceDecl> </xc:namespaceDecls> </xc:program> I tried to validate this XML file against a bunch of different schemas. No matter which schema I select, this XML file comes out as valid. What is it that I am missing? Here is the relevant piece of code: 'Create a schema cache and add the given schema to it. Dim schemaCache As New Schema.XmlSchemaSet schemaCache.Add(targetNamespace, schemaFilename) 'Create an XML DOMDocument object. Dim xmlDom As New XmlDocument 'Assign the schema cache to the DOM document. 'schemas collection. xmlDom.Schemas = schemaCache 'Load selected file as the DOM document. xmlDom.Load(xmlFilename) xmlDom.Validate(AddressOf ValidationCallBack)

  • Prefix for element not bound

    - by Tim
    Hello! I am a newbie in Flex development and using Flash Builder 4 with SDK 4. Now I get the error that "the prefix "fx" for element "fx:Style" is not bound" in line number 4. I searched for it, and it has sth. to do with namespaces, but I can not solve it by myelf. I have the file called "UserStory.mxml" in the directory "components" to place it via the main.mxml onto the screen: <fx:Script> <![CDATA[ import components.UserStory; private function init():void { var userStory1:UserStory = new UserStory(); userStory1.x = 100; userStory1.y = 100; userStory1.userStoryText = "test"; this.addChild(userStory1); } ]]> </fx:Script> The file in which the error occurs in line no. 4: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <mx:Canvas xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" width="300" height="150" styleName="userstory"> <fx:Style source="styles/styles.css"/> <fx:Text x="5" y="5" width="275" height="135" text="{userStoryText}" fontFamily="notes" fontSize="18"/> <mx:Script> ... </mx:Script> </mx:Canvas> Can someone tell me what's wrong? Thanks a lot in advance & Best Regards.

  • Normalizing (webdav) unicode paths

    - by Evert
    Hi guys, I'm working on a WebDAV implementation for PHP. In order to make it easier for Windows and other operating systems to work together, I need jump through some character encoding hoops. Windows uses ISO-8859-1 in it's HTTP request, while most other clients encode anything beyond ascii as UTF-8. My first approach was to ignore this altogether, but I quickly ran into issues when returning urls. I then figured it's probably best to normalize all urls. Using u¨ as an example. This will get sent over the wire by OS/X as u%CC%88 (this is codepoint U+0308) Windows sents this as: %FC (latin1) But, doing a utf8_encode on %FC, I get : %C3%BC (this is codepoint U+00FC) Should I treat %C3%BC and u%CC%88 as the same thing? If so.. how? Not touching it seems to work OK for windows. It somehow understands that it's a unicode character, but updating the same file throws an error (for no particular reason). I'd be happy to provide more information.

  • HttpHandler and XML files

    - by Frank
    Hello, I would like to intercept any request made to the server for XML files. I thought that it might be possible with an HttpHandler. It's coded and it works... on localhost only (?!?!). So, why is it working on localhost only? Here is my web.config <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <configuration> <system.web> <httpHandlers> <add verb="*" path="*.xml" type="FooBar.XmlHandler, FooBar" /> </httpHandlers> </system.web> </configuration> Here is my C# : namespace FooBar { public class XmlHandler : IHttpHandler { public bool IsReusable { get { return false; } } public void ProcessRequest(HttpContext context) { HttpResponse Response = context.Response; Response.Write(xmlString); } } } As you might have seen, I'm writing the xmlString directly in the response, it's only temporary because I'm still wondering how I could give the filename instead (that's the second question ;) ) What is supposed to be written in the response is only the xml filename that will be retrieved by a flash app. Thanks Edit : When calling the page from another computer it looks like it's not getting to the HttpHandler. However, the mapping for IIS have been done correctly.

  • Is using a StringBuilder for writing XML ok?

    - by Jack Lawson
    It feels dirty. But maybe it isn't... is it ok to use a StringBuilder for writing XML? My gut instinct says "although this feels wrong, it's probably pretty darn performant because it's not loading extra libraries and overhead." Here's what it looks like. I'm building an OpenSearch XML doc based on the domain you come in from. public void ProcessRequest(HttpContext context) { context.Response.ContentType = "text/xml"; string domain = WebUtils.ReturnParsedSourceUrl(null); //returns something like www.sample.com string cachedChan = context.Cache[domain + "_opensearchdescription"] as String; if (cachedChan == null) { StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder(); sb.Append("<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?>"); sb.Append("<OpenSearchDescription xmlns=\"http://a9.com/-/spec/opensearch/1.1/\" xmlns:moz=\"http://www.mozilla.org/2006/browser/search/\">"); sb.Append(" <ShortName>Search</ShortName>"); sb.Append(" <Description>Use " + domain + " to search.</Description>"); sb.Append(" <Contact>[email protected]</Contact>"); sb.Append(" <Url type=\"text/html\" method=\"get\" template=\"http://" + domain + "/Search.aspx?q={searchTerms}\" />"); sb.Append(" <moz:SearchForm>http://" + domain + "/Search.aspx</moz:SearchForm>"); sb.Append(" <Image height=\"16\" width=\"16\" type=\"image/x-icon\">http://" + domain + "/favicon.ico</Image>"); sb.Append("</OpenSearchDescription>"); cachedChan = sb.ToString(); context.Cache.Insert(domain + "_opensearchdescription", cachedChan, null, DateTime.Now.AddDays(14), TimeSpan.Zero); } context.Response.Write(cachedChan); }

  • IE8 Crashes Strangely on JavaScript Popup

    - by dkris
    Hi, I am facing a strange issue after the popup is created onclick. The popup opens up but hangs immediately on IE8 (works fine on all the other browsers including IE6). But on adding the alertbox as show in the JavaScript code, the popup works fine. I am using **https** and not **http** and i feel popup is not able to load the JS file because of SSL. Here is the how i am generating the onclick event: <a id="forgotPasswordLink" href="#" onclick="openSupportPage();"> Some Text </a> The onclick function is defined this way: function openSupportPage() { var features = "width=700,height=400,status=yes,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,scrollbars=yes"; var winId = window.open('', '', features); winId.focus(); winId.document.open(); winId.document.write('<html><head><title>' + document.title + '</title><link rel="stylesheet" href="./css/default.css" type="text/css">\n'); var is_ie6 = ( window.external && typeof window.XMLHttpRequest == "undefined"); alert(is_ie6);/*The JS include below*/ /*works in popup only with this alert box.*/ /*else IE8 Hangs*/ winId.document.write('<script src="../js/tiny_mce/tiny_mce.js" type="text/javascript">Script_IE8</script>\n'); winId.document.write('<script type="text/javascript">\n'); winId.document.write('function inittextarea() {\n'); winId.document.write('tinyMCE.init({ \n'); winId.document.write('elements : "content",\n'); winId.document.write('theme : "advanced",\n'); winId.document.write('readonly : true,\n'); winId.document.write('mode : "exact",\n'); winId.document.write('theme : "advanced",\n'); winId.document.write('readonly : true,\n'); winId.document.write('setup : function(ed) {\n'); winId.document.write('ed.onInit.add(function() {\n'); winId.document.write('tinyMCE.activeEditor.execCommand("mceToggleVisualAid");\n'); winId.document.write('});\n'); winId.document.write('}\n'); winId.document.write('});}</script>\n'); winId.document.write('</head><body onload="inittextarea()">\n'); winId.document.write(' \n'); var hiddenFrameHTML = document.getElementById("HiddenFrame").innerHTML; hiddenFrameHTML = hiddenFrameHTML.replace(/&amp;/gi, "&"); hiddenFrameHTML = hiddenFrameHTML.replace(/&lt;/gi, "<"); hiddenFrameHTML = hiddenFrameHTML.replace(/&gt;/gi, ">"); winId.document.write(hiddenFrameHTML); winId.document.write('<textarea id="content" rows="10" style="width:100%">\n'); winId.document.write(document.getElementById(top.document.forms[0].id + ":supportStuff").innerHTML); winId.document.write('</textArea>\n'); var hiddenFrameHTML2 = document.getElementById("HiddenFrame2").innerHTML; hiddenFrameHTML2 = hiddenFrameHTML2.replace(/&amp;/gi, "&"); hiddenFrameHTML2 = hiddenFrameHTML2.replace(/&lt;/gi, "<"); hiddenFrameHTML2 = hiddenFrameHTML2.replace(/&gt;/gi, ">"); winId.document.write(hiddenFrameHTML2); winId.document.write('</body></html>\n'); winId.document.close(); } Please help me on this one.   • Why do I get "Illegal characters in path" while using XmlDiff to compare 2 xml files?

  • Compile C++ file as objective-c++ using makefile

    - by Vikas
    I'm trying to compile .cpp files as objective-c++ using makefile as few of my cpp file have objective code. I added -x objective-c++ as complier option and started getting stray /327 in program error( and lots of similar error with different numbers after /). The errors are around 200. But when I change the encoding of the file from unicode-8 to 16 the error reduces to 23. currently there is no objective-c++ code in the .cpp file but plan to add in future. When i remove -x objective-c++ from complier option ,everything complies fine. and .out is generated. I would be helpful if someone will tell me why this is happening and even a solution for the same Thanks in advance example of my makefile <code> MACHINE= $(shell uname -s) CFLAGS?=-w -framework CoreServices -framework ApplicationServices -framework CoreFoundation -framework CoreWLAN -framework Cocoa -framework Foundation ifeq ($(MACHINE),Darwin) CCLINK?= -lpthread else CCLINK?= -lpthread -lrt endif DEBUG?= -g -rdynamic -ggdb CCOPT= $(CFLAGS) $(ARCH) $(PROF) CC =g++ -x objective-c++ AR = ar rcs #lib name SLIB_NAME=myapplib EXENAME = myapp.out OBJDIR = build OBJLIB := $(addprefix $(OBJDIR)/... all .o files) SS_OBJ := $(addprefix $(OBJDIR)/,myapp.o ) vpath %.cpp path to my .cpp files INC = include files subsystem: make all $(OBJLIB) : |$(OBJDIR) $(OBJDIR): mkdir $(OBJDIR) $(OBJDIR)/%.o:%.cpp $(CC) -c $(INC) $(CCOPT) $(DEBUG) $(CCLINK) $< -o $@ all: $(OBJLIB) $(CLI_OBJ) $(SS_OBJ) $(AR) lib$(SLIB_NAME).a $(OBJLIB) $(CC) $(INC) $(CCOPT) $(SS_OBJ) $(DEBUG) $(CCLINK) -l$(SLIB_NAME) -L ./ -o $(OBJDIR)/$(EXENAME) clean: rm -rf $(OBJDIR)/* dep: $(CC) -MM *.cpp </code>

  • Loop through XML::Simple structure

    - by David
    So I have some xml file like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?> <root result="0" > <settings user="anonymous" > <s n="blabla1" > <v>true</v> </s> <s n="blabla2" > <v>false</v> </s> <s n="blabla3" > <v>true</v> </s> </settings> </root> I want to go through all the settings using the XML Simple. Here's what I have when I print the output with Data::Dumper: $VAR1 = { 'settings' => { 'user' => 'anonymous', 's' => [ { 'n' => 'blabla1', 'v' => 'true' }, { 'n' => 'blabla2', 'v' => 'false' }, { 'n' => 'blabla3', 'v' => 'true' } ] }, 'result' => '0' }; And here's my code $xml = new XML::Simple; $data = $xml->XMLin($file); foreach $s (keys %{ $data->{'settings'}->{'s'} }) { print "TEST: $s $data->{'settings'}->{'s'}->[$s]->{'n'} $data->{'settings'}->{'s'}->[$s]->{'v'}<br>\n"; } And it returns these 2 lines, without looping: TEST: n blabla1 true TEST: v blabla1 true I also tried to do something like this: foreach $s (keys %{ $data->{'settings'}->{'s'} }) { Without any success: Type of arg 1 to keys must be hash (not array dereference) How can I procede? What am I doing wrong? Thanks a lot!

  • Newbie question: How do you layout an icon, 2 text lines and a button?

    - by Keith Barrows
    I am trying to extend a sample I found at http://developer.android.com/resources/articles/layout-tricks-efficiency.html. I am a brand new MonoDroid developer, just installed it yesterday, and trying to jump right into UI design and so far it is not clicking for me completely. I have this main.xml: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="?android:attr/listPreferredItemHeight" android:padding="6dip"> <ImageView android:id="@+id/icon" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_alignParentTop="true" android:layout_alignParentBottom="true" android:layout_marginRight="6dip" android:src="@drawable/icon" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/secondLine" android:layout_width="200dip" android:layout_height="26dip" android:layout_toRightOf="@id/icon" android:layout_alignParentBottom="true" android:layout_alignParentRight="true" android:singleLine="true" android:ellipsize="marquee" android:text="Second line which is a long line of text and needs to scroll" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/firstLine" android:layout_width="200dip" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_toRightOf="@id/icon" android:layout_alignParentRight="true" android:layout_alignParentTop="true" android:layout_above="@id/secondLine" android:layout_alignWithParentIfMissing="true" android:singleLine="true" android:ellipsize="marquee" android:gravity="center_vertical" android:text="First line" /> <Button android:id="@+id/logonButton" android:layout_width="50dip" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_toRightOf="@id/secondLine" android:layout_alignParentRight="true" android:layout_alignParentTop="true" android:gravity="center_vertical" android:text="Login" /> /> </RelativeLayout> What I am trying to do is have an icon on the left, 2 lines of text stacked in the middle and a button on the right. When I run this in my emulator I am seeing: The second line is not scrolling. The button does not show up. Is there by any chance a simple WYSIWYG editor for layout? Or is there an app to give me a quick view of my layout XML? Something like FireBug in FireFox would be fine. Barring the slim chance there are UI helpers for Droid, what am I doing wrong? :)

  • DjangoUnicodeDecodeError while storing pickle'd data.

    - by Jack M.
    I've got a simple dict object I'm trying to store in the database after it has been run through pickle. It seems that Django doesn't like trying to encode this error. I've checked with MySQL, and the query isn't even getting there before it is throwing the error, so I don't believe that is the problem. The dict I'm storing looks like this: { 'ordered': [ { 'value': u'First\xd1ame Last\xd1ame', 'label': u'Full Name' }, { 'value': u'123-456-7890', 'label': u'Phone Number' }, { 'value': u'[email protected]', 'label': u'Email Address' } ], 'cleaned_data': { u'Phone Number': u'123-456-7890', u'Full Name': u'First\xd1ame Last\xd1ame', u'Email Address': u'[email protected]' }, 'post_data': <QueryDict: { u'Phone Number': [u'1234567890'], u'Full Name_1': [u'Last\xd1ame'], u'Full Name_0': [u'First\xd1ame'], u'Email Address': [u'[email protected]'] }>, 'user': <User: itis> } The error that gets thrown is: 'utf8' codec can't decode bytes in position 52-53: invalid data. Position 52-53 is the first instance of \xd1 (Ñ) in the pickled data. So far, I've dug around StackOverflow and found a few questions where the database encoding for the objects was wrong. This doesn't help me because there is no MySQL query yet. This is happening before the database. Google also didn't help much when searching for unicode errors on pickled data. It is probably worth mentioning that if I don't use the Ñ, this code works fine.

  • Webrick transparent proxy

    - by zzeroo
    Hi there, I've a absolute simple proxy running. require 'webrick' require 'webrick/httpproxy' s = WEBrick::HTTPProxyServer.new(:Port => 8080, :RequestCallback => Proc.new{|req,res| puts req.request_line, req.raw_header}) # Shutdown functionality trap("INT"){s.shutdown} # run the beast s.start This should in my mind not influence the communication in any way. But some sites doesn't work any more. Specially http://lastfm.de 's embedded flash players doesn't work. The header looks link: - -> http://ext.last.fm/2.0/?api%5Fsig=aa3e9ac9edf46ceb9a673cb76e61fef4&flashresponse=true&y=1269686332&streaming=true&playlistURL=lastfm%3A%2F%2Fplaylist%2Ftrack%2F42620245&fod=true&sk=ee93ae4f438767bf0183d26478610732&lang=de&api%5Fkey=da6ae1e99462ee22e81ac91ed39b43a4&method=playlist%2Efetch GET http://play.last.fm/preview/118270350.mp3 HTTP/1.1 Host: play.last.fm User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100308 Ubuntu/10.04 (lucid) Firefox/3.6 Accept: text/html,application/xhtml+xml,application/xml;q=0.9,*/*;q=0.8 Accept-Language: de,en-us;q=0.7,en;q=0.3 Accept-Encoding: gzip,deflate Accept-Charset: ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.7 Keep-Alive: 115 Proxy-Connection: keep-alive Cookie: AnonWSSession=ee93ae4f438767bf0183d26478610732; AnonSession=cb8096e3b0d8ec9f4ffd6497a6d052d9-12bb36d49132e492bb309324d8a4100fc422b3be9c3add15ee90eae3190db5fc localhost - - [27/Mar/2010:11:38:52 CET] "GET http://www.lastfm.de/log/flashclient/minor/Track_Loading_Fail/Buffering_Timeout HTTP/1.1" 404 7593 - -> http://www.lastfm.de/log/flashclient/minor/Track_Loading_Fail/Buffering_Timeout localhost - - [27/Mar/2010:11:38:52 CET] "GET http://play.last.fm/preview/118270350.mp3 HTTP/1.1" 302 0 I nead some hints why or what the communication disturb.

  • jQuery AJAX (google PageRank)

    - by RobertPitt
    Hey guys, I need a little help.. iv'e been developing a Jqery plug-in to get the page ranks of urls on a website using XHR, The problem is when requesting the rank from google servers the page is returned no content, but if i use an inspector and get the url that was requests and go to it via my browser the pageranks are shown. so it must be something with headers but its just got me puzzled. Heres some source code but i have removed several aspects that are not needed to review. pagerank.plugin.js ( $.fn.PageRank = function(callback) { var _library = new Object(); //Creat the system library _library.parseUrl = function(a) { var b = {}; var a = a || ''; /* * parse the url to extract its parts */ if (a = a.match(/((s?ftp|https?):\/\/){1}([^\/:]+)?(:([0-9]+))?([^\?#]+)?(\?([^#]+))?(#(.+))?/)) { b.scheme = a[2] ? a[2] : "http"; b.host = a[3] ? a[3] : null; b.port = a[5] ? a[5] : null; b.path = a[6] ? a[6] : null; b.args = a[8] ? a[8] : null; b.anchor = a[10] ? a[10] : null } return b } _library.ValidUrl = function(url) { var b = true; return b = url.host === undefined ? false : url.scheme != "http" && url.scheme != "https" ? false : url.host == "localhost" ? false : true } _library.toHex = function(a){ return (a < 16 ?   • Inflated ImageView to put in GalleryView isn't the right size

    - by Richard
    I am trying to inflate an ImageView that scales a Drawable that I can display in a GalleryView. My code to inflate the view seems to work fine, except that the attributes of the ImageView are not applied. Specifically, the inflated ImageView does not have the width/height that I set for it via the android:layout params in XML. Can someone show me what I'm doing wrong? I want to set the width/height of the image in dp, so that it is the correct size across multiple screen dpis and support Android 1.5+. As a result I cannot use something like: i.setLayoutParams(new Gallery.LayoutParams(150, 116) My layout definition is: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <ImageView xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="150dp" android:layout_height="116dp" android:background="@drawable/gallery_item_background" android:scaleType="fitXY" /> </ImageView> And the snippet I am using to inflate the ImageView is: public View getView(int position, View convertView, ViewGroup parent) { LayoutInflater inflater = getLayoutInflater(); ImageView i = (ImageView) inflater.inflate(R.layout.gallery_item, null); i.setImageResource(mImageIds.get(position)); i.setScaleType(ImageView.ScaleType.FIT_XY); return i; }

  • MXML composite canvas component initialization error

    - by mkorpela
    I'm getting an odd error from my composite canvas component: An ActionScript error has occurred: Error: null at mx.core::Container/initialize()[C:\autobuild\galaga\frameworks\projects\framework\src\mx\core\Container.as:2560] at -REMOVED THIS FOR STACK OVERFLOW-.view::EditableCanvas/initialize()[.../view/EditableCanvas .... It seems to be related to the fact that my composite component has a child and I'm trying to add one in the place I'm using the component. So how can I do this correctly? Component code looks like this (EditableCanvas.mxml): <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <mx:Canvas xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" creationComplete="{init()}"> <mx:Script> <![CDATA[ private var _editable:Boolean; public function set editable(edit:Boolean):void { _editable = edit; } private function init():void { if(_editable){ addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, showEdit); addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OUT, hideEdit); } } private function showEdit(event:Event):void { editTextImage.visible = true; } private function hideEdit(event:Event):void { editTextImage.visible = false; } ]]> </mx:Script> <mx:Image id="editTextImage" source="@Embed('/../assets/icons/small/process.png')" click="{dispatchEvent(EditPoiEvent.text())}" visible="false"/> </mx:Canvas> The code that is using the code looks like this: <view:EditableCanvas width="290" height="120" backgroundColor="#FFFFFF" horizontalScrollPolicy="off" borderStyle="solid" cornerRadius="3" editable="{_editable}"> <mx:Text id="textContentBox" width="270" fontFamily="nautics" fontSize="12" text="{_text}"/> </view:EditableCanvas>

  • ImageViews in a ListView not aligned vertically [Mono for Android]

    - by shalmon
    I'm very new to developing apps to android, so bear with me. Having said that, I'm trying to make a list with a image to the left and a title and description to the right of the image. The image is downloaded from the web in the background and then set in the UI as they complete. This all works. However, the images are not aligned properly and I simply cannot understand why. I'm thinking it has something to do with the layout defined in the xml file? I tried using android:layout_alignParentLeft="true" and android:layout_gravity="left" but that got me nowhere. Then I didn't know how to proceed, even after googling every way I could think of. I'm sorry if this is very basic, but I would really appreciate some help here. Here's a pic of the situation: And here's my layout: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:id="@+id/widget28" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="80px" > <ImageView android:id="@+id/imageItem" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_gravity="center_vertical" android:layout_alignParentLeft="true" > </ImageView> <LinearLayout android:id="@+id/linearText" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_marginLeft="10px" android:layout_marginTop="10px" > <TextView android:id="@+id/textTop" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="TextView" > </TextView> <TextView android:id="@+id/textBottom" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="TextView" > </TextView> </LinearLayout> </LinearLayout> I appreciate any help you can offer.
