How do I style just the thumbnail image in this post?

I need help with some CSS styling. I've tried various options with Firebug and cannot sort this out. How can I style the thumbnails on my posts (eg url: http://thatcriticguy.com/index.php?post/4/crossover-9-revamped-reinvented-and-a-must-have) and not style all images in the post at the same time. I have numerous posts on this site and need to only style the ones that are thumbnails that float right. Is there a way to do this without modifying the template code just using CSS?

Direct question - How would I place certain objects or small text within a certain area. For example, how would I replace the following image with html/javascript. --- I don't have enough reps to post an image :/ but try this URL - http://i.imgur.com/a3eWL.jpg Big picture - I am trying to create a kml file for Google Earth that when the point is clicked, the balloon description window pops up and I can display my html formatted diagram showing where the satellites are at that instant. Google Earth and KML docs allow for pretty much any html formatting within it, so currently looking for a good way to do this. codeigniter problem with mod_rewrite on apache 1.3

Anybody came into this before? Hosting a site on godaddy, the site is developed in codeigniter framework(php), to get pretty url, put this into .htacess RewriteEngine on RewriteCond $1 !^(index\.php|images|robots\.txt) RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.php/$1 [L] problem is only domain.com/index.php seems to work, other urls e.g domain.com/user/login won't work, codeigniter always returns '404 page'. Is there anything going on with godaddy's mod_rewrite or just their apache which as I know is version 1.3. Any clue? [update] a bit CI debug, found /system/libraries/Router.php line 239, line show_404( $segments[0] ); always gets invoded. $segments [ 0='index.php' ], that seems to be the problem, but why? All works on my dev box which is in apache2

getting error 500 with .htaccess when pointing an existing file / folder (mod_rewrite)

i made a simple .htaccess file to expose the problem. I want that all request made to the folder redirect to a subfolder file "app/index.php" RewriteEngine On RewriteRule (.*) app/index.php [QSA] And this works fine on with the basic url of my hoster (like http//myname.hosting.com/htaccessFolder The problem is that i have a domain pointing on this folder, and when accessed to it, server return Internal Server Error 500. If i do this : RewriteEngine On RewriteRule (.*) somefile.php [QSA] Redirection works only when file does not exists (404 not found error occured). when the file exists i get a 500 error too. I've asked the hosting support without success for the moment..

Set up CakePHP in a subdirectory; Wordpress is installed in the root

I have been searching for a solution for 2 hours but nothing seems to work... here is my problem: I have WordPress installed in the root (var/www). So by going to http://www.geekderek.com, I see my wordpress site. I put CakePHP in a subdirectory var/www/cakephp. I want to be able to see my CakePHP app by going to: www.geekderek.com/cakephp. However, currently this url just returns a Wordpress page saying "Content not found." I believe this problem can be solved by modifying .htaccess in my root directory. So here is my .htaccess: http://pastebin.com/sXJTRstB As you can see, I added this line to the default WP .htaccess file: RewriteRule ^cakephp(/(.*))?$ cakephp/app/webroot/$1 [QSA,L] However, for some reason this doesn't seem to work. So I had this structure in xml and I was able to parse it successfully. Now what I have done is that I converted this xml into a JSON using www.xmltojson.org but I am not able to parse it . Are these Mozilla-specific CSS styles doing anything?

I'm working with some CSS (from a Joomla template) like this: div#logo { -moz-background-clip: border; -moz-background-inline-policy: continuous; -moz-background-origin: padding; background: transparent url(../images/head.png) no-repeat scroll 0 0; ... } I've looked up some of those -moz- properties and they seem to be assigned their default values, and if I turn them off in Firebug nothing happens visibly. Would there be a reason to add them to a CSS file? Are they for an old version of Firefox perhaps?

I need it to have simple structure: it should listen to some url format like http://example.com/service/stream?write&id=ANY_STRING and if any data comes to such address format it'll start making it avaliable by something like this http://example.com/service/stream?read&id=ANY_STRING Main thing here to be able to stream live data thru WCF service not buffering it just sharing stream. So can please any one help me with such idea? I think not only I have seen such problem with WCF alot on different sites so answer will help the WCF comunyty alot. I hope. BTW: I know some people say WCF is not prepared for live streaming over bacikHTTPbinding but hey! We all need it to, and we ask MS alot so some day they'll make it beter and we all want to be prepared for it.

ftp connects but files aren't visible browsing

Hello If this should be on that other site, please don't shoot me, as I can't remember the name or the url. I have an ftp account in Dreamweaver that connects to the remote site and appears to be uploading files as normal. But when I browse to the location I can't see any new files or changes to the index page. (I've uploaded index.php and connect.php). I'm getting a 404 page. I suspect the host directory is wrong, but looking at the file tree, I can't see the folder I'm supposed to be using, so I'm uploading to the apparent site root. Any guidance on this?

AutoComplete textbox and "Hide Pointer While Typing" in windows

How can the "Hide Pointer While Typing" option be disabled by application? I'm having an issue with the cursor hiding and not getting it back without pressing escape or losing window focus. The application has been written in C# and uses WPF. A technology specific answer is not required because it'll likely be possible using any technology. Here's the scenario: A user can type in a TextBox and an AutoComplete list shows up below the box. Once the user starts typing though, he/she can no longer select an item from the drop down because there is no mouse cursor. I noticed that Firefox does not have this behavior. For example, while typing in a URL in the address bar the mouse cursor never disappears. There are other places I've seen this behavior so I know it must be possible. Any help is greatly appreciated!

How to create a web framework in C# without ASP?

I've managed to get a C# asp page running under ubuntu/apache/mono, but I don't want to write my framework in these ASP pages, I want to use straight C# and then I'll use a templating language for my views. But I don't know where to begin? C# is a compiled language, so... how would I do this? Would I compile everything and then have apache hook into the (single) executable and pass in the the request URL? Could I request specific .cs pages and then have apache tell it to compile and then "display" it only if it's been updated? Can the "view" files be compiled individually to avoid having to recompile everything every time there's a change? Is there some "base" I can work from, or am I going to have to reinvent accessing GET and POST variables (by reading header info) and all sorts of other stuff we take for granted in languages like PHP?

CSRF verification failed, but only with Facebook App

I am creating a Facebook App using Django. When I access my webpage directly then it works fine. I have then added this webpage as the Facebook canvas URL, so that users are directed to this page when they go to the App. Now, when I enter the App, I get the "CSRF verification failed" error. I think it's because facebook is doing a POST, but without the CSRF token. However, I cannot control how Facebook redirects to my App. Anyone know how to deal with this? This is all my View does: def frontpage(request): return render_to_response('tube/frontpage.html', {"s": 'hello'}) and frontpage.html just writes "front page!"

Get Flickr Sets

Hi everyone. Usual stuff, Googled forever, looked on here, no help. Yet. What I want is to list the sets of photos I have on Flickr. Nice & simple, it would seem. I want the 'title image' (the one used as the thumb for it on Flickr its self), the title and URL. Can't be that hard, can it? The language of choice is PHP (5.1.6), or JS (jQuery if possible). PHP class that changes an image and reloads the page not displaying new image in Internet Explorer

I have a class that runs a function when the image is clicked on to display an additional image. This function produces a linked div tag that reloads the page with a set of variables that then produces another image. The image is set as a background image on a large div tag behind the linked div tags to give the same effect as an image map but without using an image map or a SVG. This works perfectly in Chrome and Firefox but will not display the new image in Internet Explorer until you F5 the page again with the get variables in the URL? Does anyone know how to fix this issue so that it works in IE the same as the other browsers? Many thanks.

I knew it has something to do with this #sidebar h2 { border-bottom: 1px solid #d6d6d6; } since i tried that code and a border appeared. Post wall message on facebook account

Hello, I am trying to implement some functionality in a blackberry app, that I saw in other application. Basically it's a window that has a message, and a Facebook icon. When you click on the icon it launches a new window, this window asks the user for permissions(user and password), and then the message is posted in the user's wall. So my question is how can I replicate that?. I have been looking at the graph api, but I just can't figure out how to do all of this in one step. And my query looks like this: mysql_select_db("school", $con); $result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM student WHERE IDNO=".(int)$_GET['id']); ?> There is no problem in the design if the id does not start with the number zero. Spring server start-up event

i am facing a problem. I am using tomcat server for my spring maven project and i want to subscribe my application to facebook once when server starts up. I have tried ApplicationListener ContextRefreshedEvent. It gets invoked on application context initialization, but the issue is at that time my server has not completely started and hence my application is not publically accessible which is required in my case as facebook subscription requires verification using application public URL. So i want to do subscription when my server gets started completey and not on application context initialization. Any idea how can i do it? PHP CURL works fine from localhost not from server

I have 2 servers, srv1 and srv2. All client sites are stored in srv2 and all authentication details are stored in srv1. Each time a client site is loaded, the site in srv2 sends a curl request to srv1 to validate. I am always getting bool(false) when I print the curl response using var_dump. But if I am requesting for validation from my local wamp installation(localhost) it is perfectly returning the response. According to my understanding srv2 is blocking srv1 ip or something like that. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. The solution is really urgent as all my clients are stuck with invalid authorization message. Edit: Now when i tested curl in srv2 is working fine i think. Because I am able to fetch other websites without any trouble. But I am not able to fetch data from srv1. I can view a page from srv1 through browser url but not through curl.
