• Image equivalent of ActionLink in ASP.NET MVC

  In ASP.NET MVC is there an equivalent of the Html.ActionLink helper for Img tags? I have a controller action that outputs a dynamically generated JPEG and I wanted to use the same Lambda expressions to link to it as I do HREFs using ActionLink. Alternatively, a helper that just gives the URL to a route (again specified using Lambdas) would also be acceptable. EDIT: I had originally specified that I was using Preview 5, however I see that a Beta has been released. So all-in-all the version number was an unneeded piece of info as I may be upgrading soon :-)

• With paperclip, how can I change the image location to a ":parent_model_id/:id" folder format?

  Given that I have a Listing model that has many images and each image has one attachment, how can I have the listing_id be part of the folder structure? Like so: system/photos/[listing_id]/:id I know that using :id will output the id of the image record. • Is it good practise to use meta refresh tags for redirects instead of header() function in php?

  I have to use redirects a lot in my scripts, for example after a user logs in I need to redirect them to the admin area, etc. But I find it inconvenient to always have to have the header function at the very top. • Google Document export via API

  After using Zend_GData to retrieve a document list feed, I can use the content URLs in the form: http://docs.google.com/document/edit?id=<docid>&hl=en but the source URLs in the form http://docs.google.com/feeds/download/documents/Export?docId=<docid>&exportFormat=html are returning 404 errors. That URL should return the content of the document in the requested format but it is returning 404. This problem is mentioned without resolution on a Google API forum. As indicated in that forum post, this problem only seems to affect new documents. My code works perfectly retrieving old documents, but new ones are 404. Has something changed in the way Google references new documents or in the way permissions are assigned? The code I'm using is essentially the same as the code on this page but this does not seem to be an issue specific to PHP/Zend_Gdata.

• Rails gives wrong headers after upgrade 2.3.5 -> 2.3.8

  I just upgraded from rails 2.3.5 to rails 2.3.8, but now my redirects are not working properly. I get the following as the response HTTP Headers: HTTP/1.1 302 Moved Temporarily Date: Wed, 02 Jun 2010 09:40:39 GMT Content-Length: 93 Content-Type: text/html whereas I got previous: HTTP/1.1 302 Moved Temporarily Connection: close Date: Wed, 02 Jun 2010 09:41:18 GMT Set-Cookie: _session_id=<correct id>; path=/ Status: 302 Found Location: <correct url> Cache-Control: no-cache Server: Mongrel 1.1.5 Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8 Content-Length: 93 Anyone knows how to fix this? Despite the fact that the redirect is not working, the login-cookie is not set too (but I think, this is both related somehow). I have already tried to override redirect_to in order to set response.headers['Location'] etc., but they did not appear in the response.

  I'm trying to write some .htaccess rules that replace certain characters in the REQUEST_URI parameter. Specifically, I want to replace the following: "<" = &lt; "" = &gt; "'" = &apos; '"' = &#x22; ")" = &#x29; "(" = &#x28; Example URL could be http://www.example.com/?<script>alert(1)</script>&q=")("<script') I've tried a whole bunch of methods with no success. • Defautlt Contoller in CodeIgniter

  Hello everyone, I am wondering if there is any other configuration options for a default controller. For example - if I have a controller called "site" and I set the default controller in the following file: application/config/routes.php to: $route['default_controller'] = "site"; I should be able to go to http://localhost and that brings up the index(); function in the site controller. However, if I try to do go to http://localhost/index.php/index2 to load the index2(); function I get a 404 error. If i change the URL to http://localhost/index.php/site/index2 it works fine - but I thought already set the default controller. Is there any way around this? Any thoughts?

• How to send HTML as GET-Request parameter?

  I would like to send a html string with a GET request like this with Apaches HttpClient: http://sample.com/?html=<html><head>... This doesnt work at the moment, i think its an encoding problem. Do you have any ideas how to do that? method.setQueryString(new NameValuePair[] {new NameValuePair("report", "<html>....")}); client.executeMethod(method) This fails with org.apache.commons.httpclient.NoHttpResponseException: The server localhost failed to respond. If i replace "<html>" by "test.." it works fine. EDIT It seams to be a problem of URL length after encoding, the server doesnt except such long URls. Sending it as POST solves the problem.

Is there a way that I can make it start on the same line as the icon? I did try float left on the paragraph but that makes it go before the icon.

• Ajax response seems to be getting lost

  I'm using the ddslick jquery dropdown plugin in conjunction with my Rails app. In view1, I have $('#challenges_dropdown').ddslick({ <snipped> onSelected: function (data) { $.ajax({ url: "/load_data", type: "GET", data: {"id": data.selectedData.value} }); } }); I.e., I make a call to my controller to load_data. The controller receives this correctly and then at the end, makes a call to render a separate view render "data" This view contains a script snippet that needs to run in order to update some elements of my original view. For some reason, this script snippet is just not running. I'm very confused. When I use a regular link with data-remote="true", then the whole process works perfectly. • Why is Zend Framework (Zend_Db_table) rejecting this SQL Query?

  I'm working on a simple JOIN of two tables (urls and companies). I am using this query call: print $this->_db->select()->from(array('u' => 'urls'), array('id', 'url', 'company_id')) ->join(array('c' => 'companies'), 'u.company_id = c.id'); which is out putting this query: SELECT `u`.`id`, `u`.`url`, `u`.`company_id`, `c`.* FROM `urls` AS `u` INNER JOIN `companies` AS `c` ON u.company_id = c.id Now, I'd prefer the c.* to not actually appear, but either way it doesn't matter. ZF dies with this error: SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1" but I can run that query perfectly fine in my MySQL CLI. Any ideas how to fix up this query?

• How do I Parse the response I get back from CURL?

  I'm sending some data to an external URL using Curl. The server sends me back a response in a string like this: trnApproved=0&trnId=10000002&messageId=7&messageText=DECLINE I can assign this string to a variable like this: $txResult = curl_exec( $ch ); echo "Result:<BR>"; echo $txResult; But how do I use the data that is sent back? I need a way to get the value of each variable sent back so that I can use it in my PHP script. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

  This is an extremely common situation, so I'm expecting a good solution. Basically we need to update counters in our tables. As an example a web page visit: Web_Page -------- Id Url Visit_Count So in hibernate, we might have this code: webPage.setVisitCount(webPage.getVisitCount()+1); The problem there is reads in mysql by default don't pay attention to transactions. So a highly trafficked webpage will have inaccurate counts. The way I'm used to doing this type of thing is simply call: update Web_Page set Visit_Count=Visit_Count+1 where Id=12345; I guess my question is, how do I do that in Hibernate? And secondly, how can I do an update like this in Hibernate which is a bit more complex? update Web_Page wp set wp.Visit_Count=(select stats.Visits from Statistics stats where stats.Web_Page_Id=wp.Id) + 1 where Id=12345;

• Get single Wordpress gallery image with given title

  I am having users of a Wordpress blog upload a single image to different post's galleries with the name "banner". Basically, every post will have an image named "banner" uploaded to its gallery and this image needs to be displayed on the post's page outside of the article content. So, how can I get the URL to display an image in a post's single.php template? Can I iterate through the images of a given post's gallery and find the one with the correct title somehow? I've searched through the Wordpress codex docs and haven't found anything on a way to do this, just information on displaying galleries of photos. Note that I'm already using Wordpress's post thumbnail feature for something else. Thanks!
