  • FTP Server vsftpd change ftp:nogroup

    I'm running vsftpd using the Debian Lenny package. ftp:nogroup is the user/group that uploads files and owns uploaded files. However, a problem is arising - another process is also writing files to the FTP directory as myprocess:mygroup with restrictive file permissions, preventing vsftpd from overwriting the myprocess authored files. Is it possible to tell vsftpd to use a different user/group for uploading files? (preferably as myprocess:mygroup or ftp:mygroup)

    Hi everybody! In a Silverlight 4 proj i'm using WCF RIA services, MVVM principles and EF 4. I 'm running into this situation: created an entity called Category and another one called CategoryLocale (automated using VS, no POCO). The relation between them is 1 to N respectively (one Category can have many CategoryLocales), so trough this relationship one can implement master-detail scenarios. Everytime i change a property in the master record (Category) i get a notifypropertychanged notification raised. But: whenever i change a property in the detail (CategoryLocales) i don't get anything raised. The detail part is bound to a Datagrid like this: <sdk:DataGrid Grid.Row="3" Grid.ColumnSpan="2" ItemsSource="{Binding SelectedRecord.CategoryLocales,Mode=TwoWay}" AutoGenerateColumns="False" VerticalScrollBarVisibility="Auto" > Any help is appreciated!   • Change font size for "Default Paragraph Font" in Word

    I have a document where the built-in style "Default Paragraph Font" has been set to a particular size. It shouldn't have a size - it should be inheriting from the paragraph style (that's the whole point of the style). If I go through the user interface, I can't modify this style (the modify button / dropdown is greyed out) While I can work around this in most places, it creates problems for the Table of Contents in particular, as that is forced to be in this style and it overrides the font size from the styles like TOC 1 (etc). I can set the font size through VBA - ActiveDocument.Styles("Default Paragraph Font").Font.size = 10 sets it to ten point, but I can't work out how to reset it back to inherit. At the moment, my table of contents is set to be all in the same size, but really TOC 1 should be bigger than TOC 2. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to fix this? One approach is to use the organizer to copy over the style from a working document, but ideally I'd like a way to resolve the problem without doing that - especially as that's not an easy approach to automate.

    I installed Windows 7 with the QWERTY keyboard layout, but have recently started using DVORAK layout so I changed it from Control Panel - Regional and Language Settings and it set DVORAK to default keyboard layout. Recently I added a password to log into the administrator account, the problem is that this password field is set to the QWERTY keyboard layout. When I log into Windows the keyboard layout switches back to DVORAK. How can I set the password field on the log in screen to use the DVORAK layout

  • Latex change color of intext citing with hyperref package and natbib

    I am using the natbib and hyperref package in conjunction with my latex document. I would like to change to the color of my hyppereferenced citations (the box around the citation) from the ugly baseline green to a more muted (violet or navy blue). However, in using the suggested code to do this, I can not get the citation link colors to change. My code is as follows \usepackage[usenames,dvipsnames]{color} \usepackage[round]{natbib} \usepackage[hyperfootnotes=false]{hyperref} \usepackage[hyperfootnotes=false]{hyperref} \hypersetup{ colorlinks=false, citecolor=Violet, linkcolor=Red, urlcolor=Blue} \begin{document} \bibliographystyle{apsr} \bibliography{exp_final} \end{document} However, when I compile (I compiled multiple times to make sure) this my pdf file looks the same as if I had excluded the formatting in the hypersetup (still the same ugly green).     In an ASP.NET 3.5 VB web app, I successfully manage to cache an object containing several personal details such as name, address, etc. One of the items is CreditNum which I'd like to change in the cache on the fly. Is there a way to access this directly in the cache or do I have to destroy and rebuild the whole object just to change the value of objMemberDetails.CreditNum?     I have created a custom control and added a label property to it so at design time we can pick a Label and assign it to that control. so basically I want that if a label is assigned to that control, its text should change as below and also its text should change to bold font, so here is that code: private Label assignedLabel; public Label AssignedLabel { get { return assignedLabel; } set { assignedLabel = value; assignedLabel.Text = @"*" + assignedLabel.Text; assignedLabel.Font = new Font(AssignedLabel.Font, FontStyle.Bold); AssignedLabel.Refresh(); } } the problem is that based on the code above the Font of that assigned label is correctly changing to Bold font, but its Text is not taking affect. why is that happening? how can I fix this issue?

  • UISplitViewController Cannot Change the Master View Controller?

    I am trying to change the master view controller (that appears in the popover in portrait, and on the left side in landscape) in a UISplitViewController. I'd like to switch between the master view controller being one of two different UIViewControllers (depending on an action taken elsewhere in my application). I am using the following: mySplitViewController.viewControllers = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:newMasterController, detailController, nil]; This correctly changes the master viewcontroller as you would expect in landscape mode. However it does not seem to change the viewcontroller used for the popover in portrait mode. I notice that the barbuttonitem to show this master view controller is just calling showMasterInPopover: on the splitviewcontroller, and so would expect it to work in portrait mode as well, but it does not. In fact, I can set the master view controller, see the new viewController correctly in landscape mode, rotate back to portrait, and the viewcontroller used in the popover is still the old one. Is this a bug?

    For testing I hosted my website on free server from 000webhost.com They have a directory structure:- (root folder) \ (public folder) \public_html this directory structure enables to keep all the library files in root folder and all public data in \public_html, so I developed my website accordingly, and my final structure looked like:- / /include(this folder contains library files) /logs(log files) /public_html /public_html/index.php /public_html/home.php /public_html/and other public files on 000webhost makes only public_folder available to be accessed via url and my url looked neat and clean like www.xample.com/index.php or www.example.com/home.php but after completion of development I moved website to shared host purchased from go-daddy.com, now they do not have any such kind of directory permission, all the files are kept in root folder and are accessible via url also url has become like:- www.example.com/public_html/home.php or www.example.com/public_html/index.php How should I redirect url request to public_html folder again so as to make library file unavailable to public access and make url neat and clean.

  • Cannot change PostgreSQL port

    I run Postgresql 8.4 as a service on a CentOS 6.2 server. I set port = 21444 and listen_addresses = '*' in /var/lib/pgsql/data/postgresql.conf and I changed 5432 to 21444 in postmaster.opts and restarted postgres, but when I run netstat -lntp postgresql is still running on port 5432 tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:5432 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 20276/postmaster When I restart postgresql I get a writting error warning on /proc/self/oom_adj, but the service starts anyway. I read that we could get this error when using virtualized servers, but I don't really know if this has inpact on postgresql listening port.     I've updated my gmail password and so i must update my blackberry password. I tried updating the email password to which i got the following message. Invalid email address or password. Please verify your email address and password. The information you provided is incorrect. If the error persists contact gmail.com (Your email provider). Please try again. I tried again, with what i know the password to be, with password show on. I've also deleted the account and tried to create it. I've tried going to the "Last account activity: XXXX details" menu and signing out all devices. I'm continually getting the above error, but the account activities don't seem to show any sign of a mobile attempt to access my mail account. Has anyone had this issue before and how did you sign it. Thanks in advance.
