• Facebook and dotnetopenauth issue

  Hi We established an OpenID provider at BioSignID.com base on DotNetOpenAuth. (the authentication is base on signaturs with silverlight client...) As we tried to login to facebook we encounter a problem with IE (6,7,8). In FF and Chrome the loggin process was fine. On the server logs I can see the FB reqeust but the user somehow is NOT authenticated. In fiddler I can see that the authentication cookie not sent. I've tried to transfer the server.aspx calls to https but then I cannot make the connection between my FB account and my BioSignId account. Any ideas? Thanks

  I have a simple Flash just put in for an facebook app. it is so simple that only one frame and one text box. that's all. I have this <fb:fbjs-bridge/> <fb:swf swfsrc="http://path/test2.swf" width="100" height="100" /> <script> <!-- --> </script> and I have no error to show the flash in Firefox & Chrome. But in IE, I get this: VerifyError: Error #1033: Cpool entry 36 is wrong type. ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable FBJS is not defined. What happen? what does it mean? :)

• Facebook AS3 API publishPost() problem

  I'm trying to finish a facebook app using the AS3 API. Im having trouble when using the publishPost (message, attachment, action_links, target_id, uid) function. I can get it to post on the user's wall setting the uid=user.uid BUT I can't make it post on the user's friends wall! Setting the target_id=friend.uid isnt working for me I've also tried uid=friend.uid / target_id=friend.uid, uid=friend.uid/ I have granted ExtendedPermission(ExtendedPermissionValues.PUBLISH_STREAM) as in the documentation. I repeat: I can make it post on the current user´s wall but not on its friends'. Can someone help me with this?

• Publish limit on Facebook's Graph API

  Hey guys, I've been using the Graph API for a while. One feature of my application is that it allows a user to post a message on their friends walls (dont worry it is not spam). Anyway...there is a limit on the API and it will only allow a certain number of posts before failing. I've read on the facebook bucket allocation limits but my app's limit has not moved. It was 26 when i created the app. It is still 26 even though there are about 20 users. What can I do to increase my pulish limit? And I promise this app is not used for anything spam related.

  Hello everyone I just read the new User fql table fields at http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/fql/user As I can see a lot of the fields have been deprecated such as work_history or books and movies. It is quite essential for my app to get all those fields for my user's friends in a single fql query. If i am not wrong the only way to do this is to get those extra fields using the Graph API by requesting them seperately for every friend of my user. Is there any way to do it in a more efficient way without so many calls? Can I subscribe to real time updates for the request fields for my user's friends (i do not care about the logged in user data)? Thank you a lot

• Session bug using facebook-connect-with-authlogic in Rails

  I'm trying to follow this article: http://ryanbigg.com/2010/03/testing-facebook, but I'm stuck. I think the problem is with my session, in that the current_usermethod comes up with nil for session[:facebook_session]. According to the original authlogic, it says to use the active_record_store for sessions: # config/environment.rb config.action_controller.session_store = :active_record_store # db/schema includes create_table "sessions", :force => true do |t| t.string "session_id", :null => false t.text "data" t.datetime "created_at" t.datetime "updated_at" end The article calls for the use of cookies. I'm confused; can I use cookies and the active record sessions? I'm also confused by the use of cattr_accessor :current_user from within the User model -- current_user still goes in the application controller, right? Please help.

• Is there a fingerprint reader api/sdk?

  I need to read the user's fingerprint from my application. What I really want is a simple SDK that works with a lot of inexpensive fingerprint readers but I can deal with something that works only with one specific model if that model is cheap and available worldwide. And it has to be royalty-free, I can pay for a development license but if I have to pay for each installation I just can't use it. What I'm doing has no relation to login or encryption, so the software included with the reader will probably be useless to me.

• faceBook Canvas APP not closing FB.Connect.showPermissionDialog

It is working fine and if the user hasn't granted permission before then FB.Connect.showPermissionDialog is displayed, which prompts for the permission. My problem is that on "Granting" or "Skipping" the permission by the user the dialog box doesn't go away. It resides over there and refreshes itself to open the facebook home page inside the box. It has to be forcefully closed by clicking on the X button. Am I doing any thing wrong?

• Facebook Iframe App with multiple pages in Safari

  I have a facebook Iframe application with multiple PHP pages in it. I have some links that point relatively to the files inside my "iframe folder". This works just fine In FFox, IE and Chrome. The problem here is that in Safari the links are not working at all. What happens when you click on a link is that the whole page (parent AND iframe) gets loaded inside the iframe. Anyone has any Idea why this could be happening? Thanks in advance!

Everything seems to work up until the point of loading the ADT in Eclipse.   Hello guys, How exactly filling bugs for the iPhone SDK with Apple works? I've always seen people mentioning we should fill bugs and duplicates is their way of measuring priority, but it's not clear to me: How to actually fill the bug; How to flag someone else's bug as a duplicate, and; What do I need to tell people I've filled that bug and they should help me get it fixed by posting duplicates, if they're interested. I couldn't find this process detailed anywhere - just snippets of information, so I figure you guys could help me (and all other developers fresh in Cocoa / Cocoa-touch development) by detailing it here. • ConnectionKit & iPhone SDK

  I'm still getting my feet wet with the iPhone SDK, but I'm wondering if it would be possible to get the ConnectionKit framework working for an iPhone app. I know it was developed for the desktop OS, so I'm not sure what sort of dependencies it has and whether or not it could be shoehorned into the iPhone OS. In my case, I would like to use its FTP functionality, though having access to this entire framework could prove useful for future projects as well. Any ideas or experience trying this? • iPhone SDK: Interface Builder label font, only shows when editing label

  I have tried this on a few installations of the 3.1.3 SDK. When I add a label to my view, I would like to change the font to something like Futura. I know how to change the font, but, for some reason, it does not show that it is changed. ONLY when I edit the label by double clicking, do I see my new font. And, this is the only time that I do get to see the new font, is when editing the label. Why does this happen? How can I change the font of my labels, and have it show up? Why would I care to have the font changed when I edit the label?!

  I'm doing a Facebook Connect integration for a site and when the user logs in, I need to ask for some permissions so I use FB.Connect.showPermissionDialog. I use its callback to see if permissions were granted. If they are granted, I want to submit the form.   Hello, I'm currently developing an application to allow students to manage their courses, and I don't really know how to design the database for a specific feature. The client wants, a lot like Facebook, that when a student displays the list of people currently in a specific course, the people with the most mutual courses are displayed first. As an additional feature, I would like to add a search feature to allow students to search for another one, and displaying first in the search results the people with most mutual courses. I currently use MySQL, I plan to use Cassandra for some other features, and I also use Memcached for result caching. Thanks.

• Embedding Facebook in an IFrame

  I have an app that has an IFrame with a page flash overly allowing you to draw on webpages. When I go to Facebook with the application, an overlay pops up covering everything at 50% opacity (Which is fine). The problem is that the overlay is all black in some installations of IE7. Can anyone advise on how to get around this?   Using the new Visual Studio 2010 SDK developing against the MEF based editor structure there's a question: How can I use the MEF editor interfaces to handle snippet behavior in IntelliSense? The ICompletionSession itself is not a problem (e.g. get the available snippets) rather filling the snippet, handling the subsequently expected actions like tab, enter behavior, text replacement, etc. Is there any way to do that without a language service? Checking the built-in behavior in Visual Studio base editor implementation they built the MEF interfaces on top of a set of language service based objects.

  I'm using the iPhone SDK to build a simple application. I've created a brand new class which has a single variable. I need to make 5 instances of that class, which I have no trouble doing. I can create those instances and also set the variables without issue. What i do need to know is this: How do I link each of the 5 different instances of the variable to different and specific UILabels?   Hi, How do I play video on SDK 3.2 (iPad)? Read many questions here but they talked mostly for iPhone. For example, the MoviePlayer example here http://developer.apple.com/iphone/library/samplecode/MoviePlayer_iPhone/Introduction/Intro.html That works on 3.1.3 but when I run it on 3.2, it doesn't work.   Hello everyone, I am very new to the iPhone SDK. I need to know if in a tab bar application I need to make UIViewController classes. For example, when I make a new tab bar application there is a default FirstViewController class (.h, .m) already there. Now if I have code on the second tab, would I need to create a SecondViewController class? If not, how would I make a button on the 2nd tab, and make that button do something. I'm not really sure how to do it, because the FirstViewController works with the buttons and code, but if I make a SecondViewController, and I link everything my app crashes. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. Kevin
