Are there any tools, frameworks, etc. that I can use to test this behavior? I realize there are some generic tools for testing javascript, but are those sufficiently power to test an extension? Unit testing is most important, but I'm also interested in other types of testing (such as integration testing).

Recently they merged with Telerik and it's now a commercial product. From free to $1500 is suddenly very expensive.   • Trust my work domain on a Dev Domain without a domain level password

    I setup a virtual machine to host a dev version of TFS (to test plugins on). Getting a computer on my work domain requires large amounts of red tape and paperwork that I would rather not do. I created my own domain the the VM and I would like to trust all users from my work domain on that VM Domain. But when I tried to setup the trust I needed a password from my work domain (which I don't have). Am I trying to do something nefarious? I just want to be able to authenticate to my Test TFS (VM) Server as me (my login on my work domain). Is there a way to do that with out having to have a domain level password for my work domain? (My VM is a Windows Server 2008 R2 server)

  • some windows 8 metro (modern UI) apps don't open, but live tiles DO work

    Some of my default windows 8 metro (modern UI) apps don't work properly, the apps are the Weather and the News apps. when I open them, I only get the loading screen, that is, the big colorful screen with the logo in the center, and the "loading" spinning dots. They just keep like that forever and never actually open. There are no error messages or anything. The strange this is that the live tiles for those apps DO work and show current information. current weather for my location (saved before they started failing) and current news. Both apps did work well in the past, and every other default windows 8 app I've tried work well (both live tiles and the app itself). Every other non-default apps that I've downloaded still work correctly, so the problem so far is only with those two apps. (weather and news). I really don't know since when exactly they started to fail because I really don't use them (or any metro app) that often, so I can't recall if I did something like installing some other app, either metro or regular, or messed with some drivers, etc. they simply don't open now, but they DID work before. any ideas?

  • Connecting to my home router web interface from work

    Hi, I'm trying to connect to my home router web interface from work. I use dyndns, because I don't have a static IP at home, and it works perfectly from any other place except my workplace (update: I made a mistake, see edit below). When trying to access the web interface from work I get a "500 Server Error" with the code: SERVER_RESPONSE_RESET. I'm not trying to use any protocols such as remote desktop, I'm only trying to access the web interface. I can access any other web page from my workplace with no problems, and I think my router web interface is like any other web page, isn't it? I thought maybe my work place proxy blocks addresses of services like dyndns, so I also applied another trick. Since I have a web page on my own domain (say www.mydomain.com) which I can access from work, I tried adding a CNAME to my domain which is linked to the dyndns address (router.mydomain.com). This way if anyone enters the address router.mydomain.com from anywhere, they reach my home router web interface, and there's no way of knowing it's a dyndns address (or is there?). However, it still doesn't work from my workplace (I get the same error message). Any ides? Edit: I'm sorry to say I made a mistake earlier. I used to be able to access my home router web interface from my old workplace, and I thought it was still possible since I don't recall making any configuration changes. However, after reading the replies, I went over to my old workplace and checked, and it doesn't work from there either. I'm very sorry for giving out wrong and misleading information about my problem. So to summarize: my problem is that I can't access my home router web interface from anywhere.

When I am trying to install ex phpmyadmin from apt-get, I get the Error: E: Couldn't configure pre-depend upstart-job for hostname, probably a dependency cycle. Can anyone tell me why this happens, and what I can do to fix it? I am running Ubuntu Server 7.10 . /Christoffer ---EDIT--- I found the problem - and the solution! I typed sikuli-ide But the only response I got was [info] locale: en_US The application was not started, furthermore there is no desktop file and sikuli-ide does not show up in Dash Home. I guess there is something wrong with the package. I run Ubuntu 12.10 64bit.   • FluentNHibernate Unit Of Work / Repository Design Pattern Questions

    Hi all, I think I am at a impasse here. I have an application I built from scratch using FluentNHibernate (ORM) / SQLite (file db). I have decided to implement the Unit of Work and Repository Design pattern. I am at a point where I need to think about the end game, which will start as a WPF windows app (using MVVM) and eventually implement web services / ASP.Net as UI. Now I already created domain objects (entities) for ORM. And now I don't know how should I use it outside of ORM. Questions about it include: Should I use ORM entity objects directly as models in MVVM? If yes, do I put business logic (such as certain values must be positive and be greater than another Property) in those entity objects? It is certainly the simpler approach, and one I am leaning right now. However, will there be gotchas that would trash this plan? If the answer above is no, do I then create a new set of classes to implement business logic and use those as Models in MVVM? How would I deal with the transition between model objects and entity objects? I guess a type converter implementation would work well here. Now I followed this well written article to implement the Unit Of Work pattern. However, due to the fact that I am using FluentNHibernate instead of NHibernate, I had to bastardize the implementation of UnitOfWorkFactory.   • Wireless doesn't work on a Lenovo V570

    I've had Ubuntu installed on my HD for about 3 months but ever since I ran into this wireless issue I kinda lost my lust of Ubuntu. I have zero experience getting around with/ using the console command. I have a Lenovo V570. I got the driver update for the broadcom networking card via the Additional Drivers application but that did nothing. I love the look and feel of using Ubuntu but I have no technological experience for the matter. Any help would be awesome. When I scan for wireless connections while in Ubuntu, my computer picks up nothing, while on Win7 it will pick up the handful of wireless networks around my area. My wired connection is fine, but the use of not having wireless on a laptop is rather contradictory to it as a feature. Cheers! Also, I just installed 11.10, if that helps any.     I can't use my usb keyboard/mouse after upgrade from raring to saucy. The keyboard works in grub menu and if I boot with the previous kernel version (3.8.0-31-generic). My new kernel version is 3.11.0-12-generic. Before that I had a problem with logging in to GNOME. During which I upgraded all the packages at one point (apt-get upgrade) and it stopped booting at all (it didn't get to login screen). Then I fixed PATH issue and now I've got this usb-not-working issue. I tried reinstalling kernel, to no effect. Is there anything else I can do to fix or diagnose the problem?

  • Eclipse ADT: Layout Properties Editor doesn't work correctly

    I have a new, clean installation of Eclipse Kepler (4.3.1) SR1 (x64) in Linux Mint 15 Olivia x64 (based on Ubuntu 13.04 “Raring Ringtail”). ADT version is 22.3.0, and Java is Oracle's 1.7.0_45. The problem is, I cannot edit the properties in layout editor; nothing happens when I click "..." button, nor I can edit the properties directly by clicking the empty space. The boolean properties don't even contain the checkbox. This doesn't happen in Windows XP 32bit, with the same versions of Eclipse and ADT: Anyone know any workarounds/reasons for this? Looks like Mac OS X Mountain Lion had a similar issue in the past, but I heard that was fixed, and I'm talking about Linux version here. I had no such problems in Eclipse Indigo and an old version of ADT, but I can't remember the exact versions of them. EDIT: Lubuntu 13.04 (32bit) in VMware Player doesn't have this problem.

After the reloading of the computer the sign of Internet disappeared and the Internet connection stopped working. I went to the Network section of the System settings and got such a message: The system network services are not compatible with this version. ping 8.8.8.8 gives the result Network is unreachable. What should I do?
