  I was just looking into the source code of an existing project which uses nHibernate and found that there are interfaces created for each entity classes. E.g ICustomer for Customer class. I was just wondering what can be the advantage of this pattern as ICustomer contains mainly the properties and very few methods.

  The "Build and analyze" option doesn't seem to work for .cpp and .mm files. I tried "clang --analyze" on individual files without any standard #includes and it works well. However I'm not able to run it on my Xcode project. I couldn't figure out a way to make clang find the standard #includes like even UIKit.h. Any clues?

  We have a Scala project with few source files (in Scala and Java) and quite some dependencies in various binary formats (jar and DLL). I'm wondering what should go into our shared git repo. Only the source files (developers have to download or somehow resolve the dependencies themselves) or the both the source files and the dependencies? I may add that dependencies are all third parties and available for download for free.

• Inheriting a Base Form but Paste/Cut Commands Not Captured

  I created a base form that has a specific size and an icon as a base for all forms created in my project (to be consistent in looks). The problem is, for some reason if I add a Text box to the Child form, I can no longer execute shortcuts like Copy (CTRL+C) etc into the Textbox.   In a standard generated scaffold project, when you are on an edit page, the URL looks like; /something/3/edit However, when the page doesn't validate, it runs the following code: format.html { :action => "new" } and the page url changes to; /something/3 (no /edit) Why is this is this and how to prevent it, as it looks inconsistent to me and thus confusing. However, I've only ever used decorators with simple beans, never on a singleton like a service object. Has anyone ever done this before and what are the pros and cons? In this case I don't think creating a subclass will work so a decorator seems to be a good fit. What are your thoughts on doing this?

However, Trac search is maybe not the most intuitive search out there, and we end up having multiple duplicates as the reporters can't effectively find if there already is a reported ticket of the question he or she found. Stack Overflow's "Related Questions" concept is great and works magnificently! I was wondering if someone has heard of some similar plugin to Trac, or if you have solved this problem some other way.

I have yet to see a book that discusses the architectural process, what are the ways of doing this, why doing this is bad, how to actually incorporate design patterns in a real-world project, etc. Can you recommend a good resource or book? I am mainly programming with PHP but a language-agnostic book/resource would do :)
