I can't find any good documentation on what the concept of a Class Loader is in the .NET Framework? What is it? Where can it be found? Does anyone know?
Iphone or blackberry or any other?
I do XHTML, CSS, Design, PHP work and use gmail, skype, firefox, twitter etc.
Which device would be helpful for me when i'm not at desk.
Last week I asked a question about the best technology in ASP.NET. Many people responsed MVC. Thanks to all.
What resources can you recommend to start learning ASP.NET MVC - both the MVC pattern and Microsoft's ASP.NET MVC implementation and framework?

If I have no to little experience in either of them, but know enough Java and Ruby to be comfortable, is one framework harder to learn than the other? Is one easier to use for the beginner on these?
I know it is hard to answer. Just looking for general thoughts on it.
Most of the applications that I'm finding, inncluding LiveHelp and PHP Live Chat! feature terrible, un-commented, non-cross-browser compatible Javascript.
I'm looking for chat software that uses a Javascript framework to avoid some persistent and common bugs related to the DOM.
In my app, I'd like a method called whenever the user taps the screen (anywhere on the screen). Normally, I'd make a transparent UIButton that covers the whole screen.
If I'm using the cocos2d framework, what's the best way to do this? Is it good practice to still use UIButtons? I've been reading about MenuItems but haven't found an easy way to make one giant fully transparent menu item?
Thanks.
I need to convert XML data to Java objects. What would be best practice to convert this XML data to object?
Idea is to fetch data via a web service (it doesn't use WSDL, just HTTP GET queries, so I cannot use any framework) and answers are in XML. What would be best practice to handle this situation?
I'm designing a web application.
I was wondering if it was feasible to design a php front end (using some php framework e.g. CakePHP), which stores and retrieves data to display to the user.
Then develop a java backend which listens to the database for changes, and depending on what was changed, performs some actions and updates the database.
Any thoughts on this type of implementation would be appreciated.
What is currently the best way to code a (semi complicated) website that uses html, css, javascript and some server stuff (php?)? Would you code most of it by hand, use a visual editor for certains parts, are there standard quality editors nowadays? How do web developers go about doing this?
Consider I have an array of elements out of which I want to create a new 'iterable' which on every next applies a custom 'transformation'. What's the proper way of doing it under python 2.x?
For people familiar with Java, the equivalent is Iterables#transform from google's collections framework.
i want to run asp.net website on apache server instead of IIS.

I have a number of classes that are decorated with DebuggerDisplayAttribute.
I want to be able to add trace statements to Unit Tests that will display instances of these classes.
Does there exist a method in the .NET Framework that will display an object formatted using DebuggerDisplayAttribute (or fall back to using .ToString() if no DebuggerDisplayAttribute is defined)?
Hi, we're in need to stop the user session in an ASP.NET site after some time(say 20 mins).
We know we can use a timer and code every page to expire on the timer tick, but we're searching a faster way, maybe through an IIS configuration?
Is there a built in way to do such things?
We're using ASP.NET 2.0, Framework 3.5, IIS 6, c#.
TY.
Now that the MVC 2 framework has been out for a while, I'm finding it very difficult to find documentation & answers specific to MVC2.
What are some good sites specific to MVC2?
Hi,
I'm using lightbox to include articles in my pages (iframes), and I'm wondering how can I assign the correct height to my lightbox (wrapping the content).
I don't have access to the height of the iFrame from css or javascript for some reason.
Could you give me some help ?
thanks
Hey guys,
I need few good book recommendations for PHP. I am trying to learn to develop webapps. I know there are other (arguably) better language out there that I should start with (ie, python). But I want to start with PHP and go from there.
My programming knowledge is limited to html/css (I know they are not actually programming languages), and I have gone through half of a python book.
Thanks! :)
I don't have access to my dev environment, but when I write the below:
interface IExample
void Test (HtmlControl ctrl);
class Example : IExample
{
public void Test (HtmlTextArea area) { }
I get an error stating the methods in the class implementation don't match the interface - so this is not possible. HtmlTextArea is a child class of HtmlControl, is there no way this is possible? I tried with .NET 3.5, but .NET 4.0 may be different (I am interested in any solution with either framework).
Thanks

Can any one please tell me how can I disable the border of html? I was going to embed the html on another application and the border makes it look kind of boring.. Is there any CSS code to do this?
thanks!
Is there anyway to embed html hyperlinks (readable when javascript is off in the browser) within an HTML5 video player?
Maybe an embedded link within the video musing CSS, or a link in the title bar?
Thanks
