  • How to populate a repository with a copy of an old svn repository

    Hi there. I configured long time ago a backup script for one of my svn repository. Such a noob i was, i didn't used 'svnadmin dump' but just made an archive of my repository folder. I don't have access to the old server anymore thus the only thing i have a archives of the old repository folder. is there a way to import those archive into my new server? Thanks.

Also is it possible to pass argument to $this-action in a view script ?   • How to "grep" out specific lline ranges of a file

    There are often times I'll grep -l whatev file to find what I'm looking for. Say the output is 1234: whatev 1 5555: whatev 2 6643: whatev 3 If I want to then just extract the lines between 1234 and 5555, is there a tool to do that? For static files I have a script that does wc -l of the file and then does the math to split it out with tail & head but that doesn't work out so well with log files that are constantly being written to.

  • How can I sort an array, yet exclude certain elements (to be kept at the same position in the array)

    This will be implemented in Javascript (jQuery) but I suppose the method could be used in any language. I have an array of items and I need to perform a sort. However there are some items in the array that have to be kept in the same position (same index). The array in question is build from a list of <li> elements and I'm using .data() values attached to the list item as the value on which to sort.     I want to be able to download a page and all of its associated resources (images, style sheets, script files, etc) using Python. I am (somewhat) familiar with urllib2 and know how to download individual urls, but before I go and start hacking at BeautifulSoup + urllib2 I wanted to be sure that there wasn't already a Python equivalent to "wget --page-requisites http://www.google.com".     I'm using a get request to get some page data but need to strip the break tags from the finished file. Basically what I'm doing is taking the output of the get request and saving it to a file but it has hundereds of break tags in it I need removed. I'm fine with running a batch or vb script after the file is saved to remove the tags but I'm not sure how on how to do that either. So far the only solutions I have seen is to remove entire lines.
