But I loaded the app on an iPhone device for the first time and it appears as if the SQLite database I'm using (NSManagedObjectContext) isn't connected or didn't upload.     We have a usb device and the drivers (.inf, libusb.dll, libusb.sys) and can install it using Windows' Device Installation Wizard (by pointing to the .inf file). However, we need to install the drivers without using the wizard (passively, so the user doesn't need to do anything). Does anyone know how this can be achieved?

I was thinking on using Linux as the host OS, but not sure if it is such good idea. I've heard some horror stories about the mess of developing device drivers under Linux.     Using SQL ManagementStudio 2008 I created SQL 3.5 Compact DB (TestCompact.sdf) and I have created subscription to existing Publication. Using SQL Management Studio it is working. I have transfered TestCompact.sdf to Windows Mobile 5 emulator device and with QueryAnalyzer for Mobile I could query existing tables in TestCompact.sdf. I don't know how to start replication synchronization on that mobile device. Do I need to write some C# code or it is possible do it more simple?

    Hi, I have several machines (both virtual and physical) in my internal network at home. Currently I have to connect via 1P addresses. The one main machine I connect with to all the other machines is running Windows Vista. Is there a way I can have some sort of DNS capability inside my network as well so I can refer to these machines with a name? I think this would be a common problem in most households (running a few computers) and I think there might be some simple solutions out there. This would be something most routers should support out of the box - but why don't they? Can anyone recommend some of these or an easy way to accomplish this?

I'm not very popular with hosting, but I have a special situation: I live in Tunisia, I can buy a domain name with .tn extention, but the problem is that: 1- The domain could not be pointed to a server outside Tunisia 2- All servers in Tunisia are bad, no one provides really reliable hosting so, I want to use the .tn domain with a basic hosting in Tunisia, and Make other db queries and rich media on another remote server outside Tunisia.     Hi there, I'm having issues getting the customer.xml layout file to work properly for the customer's "my account" pages. The navigation links and the previously ordered items that are usually on the left hand side of the page won't show up on the page, but if I change the reference name to "content" in the xml file, it shows up (except it's obviously then on the right hand side). I've checked the template it's referencing (2columns-left.phtml), and the getChildHtml('left') is there in the correct position.   • OSX: How to get a volume name (or bsd name) from a IOUSBDeviceInterface or location id

    Hi, I'm trying to write an app that associates a particular USB string descriptor (of a USB mass storage device) with its volume or bsd name. So the code goes through all the connected USB devices, gets the string descriptors and extracts information from one of them. I would like to get the volume name of those USB devices. I can't find the right API to do that. I have tried to do that: DASessionRef session = DASessionCreate(kCFAllocatorDefault); DADiskRef disk_ref = DADiskCreateFromIOMedia(kCFAllocatorDefault, session, usb_device_ref); const char* name = DADiskGetBSDName(disk_ref); But the DADiskCreateFromIOMedia function returned nil, I assume the usb_device_ref that I passed was not compatible with the io_service_t that the function is expecting. So how can I get the volume name of a USB device? Could I use the location id to do that?     Hi, I have situation in with I stucked and don't know way out. The problem is in my bigger model, but I have made small example which shows the same problem. I have 4 tables. I called them SuperParent, NamedParent, TypedParent and ParentType. NamedParent and TypedParent derives from superParent. TypedParent has one to many association with ParentType. I describe mapping for entities using queryView. The problem is then I want to get TypedParents and Include ParentType I get the following exception: An error occurred while preparing the command definition.     I'm trying to get to my phone's filesystem through USB in Wammu, but I'm stuck in the configuration wizard when it asks for a USB device name. After about an hour of Internet searching, here are the failed solutions I've already tried, starting with the relevant information returned by lsusb in terminal. lsusb Bus 001 Device 003: ID 12d1:101e Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. So I tried opening Wammu through sudo wammu in terminal and inputting "/dev/bus/usb/001/003" as the device name, which returns: Error opening device Device /dev/bus/usb/001/003 does not exist! and then "/dev/bus/usb/001/", which returns: Failed to connect to phone Description: Error opening device. Unknown, busy, or no permissions.<br> Function: Init<br> Error code: 2 Another proposed solution was to try "tail -f /var/log/messages" in terminal. But that only returned a "No such file or directory" message. Many times the root file system already contains a lot of tty devices. I am wondering how low-level devices can bind to one of the existing tty nodes on the root file system. For example, /dev/tty7 : Node on the root file system. How does a low-level device driver connect with this node? Or should that low-level device define a completely new tty device?

    Sometimes code can utilize device drivers up to the point where the system is unresponsive. Lately I've optimized a WIN32/VC++ code which made the system almost unresponsive. The CPU usage, however, was very low. The reason was 1000's of creations and destruction of GDI objects (pens, brushes, etc.). Once I refactored the code to create all objects only once - the system became responsive again. This leads me to the question: Is there a way to measure CPU/IO usage of device drivers (GPU/disk/etc) for a given program / function / line of code?

    Hi, I'd like to validate a form using the jquery validate plugin, but I'm unable to use the 'name' value within the html - as this is a field also used by the server app. Specifically, I need to limit the number of checkboxes checked from a group. (Maximum of 3.) All of the examples I have seen, use the name attribute of each element.   • Use to host email for a domain name that wasn't our primary domain name

    Exchange 2007 on an Server 2003 active directory. My primary domain (MyMainDomain.com) controller also hosts dns and dhcp. I have a secondary domain name (MySecondDomain.net) that my Exchange Server allows emails from. It wasn't a physical domain, just accepted by exchange and setup as the Active Directory user's main smtp and outgoing address. Its MX records point to MyMainDomain.com's public exchange address. I've taken MySecondDomain.net and move the mail boxes to a hosted exchange 2010 environment. MX records now point to this new exchange system and when I send and email OUTSIDE the MyMainDomain.com environment (say gmail) it works and sends to the hosted exchange setup for MySecondDomain.net. however when I send an email from a user on MyMainDomain.com, it goes to the old exchange 2007 server I am hosting internally. I have removed MySecondDomain.net from the allowed domains, removed the DNS zone for MySecondDomain.net, and cleared DNS cache. I was convinced it was my internal dns server but I've cleared the DNS cache. Is there something I'm missing somewhere in exchange 2007? Or is it my domain controller/dns? Sorry if this is confusing.   • Newly registered domain name still doesn't show up after 72 hours.

    Seven days ago I ordered a domain name with a local (Belgian) domain name agent. I have already webspace at a shared host in the US, so I filled in their nameservers on the form. I immediately payed with my credit card. Three days ago I received an e-mail from the domain name agent, saying that my domain name was registered with the external nameservers I provided, and that the site would be visible within 24 hours. However, 72 hours after that mail I still can't see my domain name. A whois search shows indeed that my domain is registered on my name,but a ping to the domain returns unknown host and a traceroute gives the similar Name or service not known. What can have gone wrong, and which (Linux) commands can I use to find out. Or should I just be patient and will the domain name eventually be propagated?
