  • XML configuration of Zend_Form: child nodes and attributes not always equal?

    - by Cez
A set of forms (using Zend_Form) that I have been working on were causing me some headaches trying to figure out what was wrong with my XML configuration, as I kept getting unexpected HTML output for a particular INPUT element. It was supposed to be getting a default value, but nothing appeared. It appears that the following 2 pieces of XML are not equal when used to instantiate Zend_Form: Snippet #1: <form> <elements> <test type="hidden"> <options ignore="true" value="foo"/> </test> </elements> </form> Snippet #2: <form> <elements> <test type="hidden"> <options ignore="true"> <value>foo</value> </options> </test> </elements> </form> The type of the element doesn't appear to make a difference, so it doesn't appear to be related to hidden fields. Is this expected or not?

Then I these part are arranged in columns and the need for these columns look about the same height. Another condition: Tags you can break (I mean that if the tag "p" contains a lot of text, it can be divided into two parts, to bring in another column). I think this is a monumental task, I shall be grateful for any help.

  • Asp.Net MVC Data Annotations. How to get client side validation on 2 properties being equal

    - by Mark
How do you get client side validation on two properties such as the classic password confirm password scenario. I'm using a metadata class based on EF mapping to my DB table, heres the code. The commented out attributes on my class will get me server side validation but not client side. [MetadataType(typeof(MemberMD))] public partial class Member { //[CustomValidation(typeof(MemberMD), "Verify", ErrorMessage = "The password and confirmation password did not match.")] //[PropertiesMustMatch("Password", "ConfirmPassword", ErrorMessage = "The password and confirmation password did not match.")] public class MemberMD { [Required(ErrorMessage = "Name is required.")] [StringLength(50, ErrorMessage = "No more than 50 characters")] public object Name { get; set; } [Required(ErrorMessage = "Email is required.")] [StringLength(50, ErrorMessage = "No more than 50 characters.")] [RegularExpression(".+\\@.+\\..+", ErrorMessage = "Valid email required e.g. [email protected]")] public object Email { get; set; } [Required(ErrorMessage = "Password is required.")] [StringLength(30, ErrorMessage = "No more than 30 characters.")] [RegularExpression("[\\S]{6,}", ErrorMessage = "Must be at least 6 characters.")] public object Password { get; set; } [Required] public object ConfirmPassword { get; set; } [Range(0, 150), Required] public object Age { get; set; } [Required(ErrorMessage = "Postcode is required.")] [RegularExpression(@"^[a-zA-Z0-9 ]{1,10}$", ErrorMessage = "Postcode must be alphanumeric and no more than 10 characters in length")] public object Postcode { get; set; } [DisplayName("Security Question")] [Required] public object SecurityQuestion { get; set; } [DisplayName("Security Answer")] [Required] [StringLength(50, ErrorMessage = "No more than 50 characters.")] public object SecurityAnswer { get; set; } public static ValidationResult Verify(MemberMD t) { if (t.Password == t.ConfirmPassword) return ValidationResult.Success; else return new ValidationResult(""); } } Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I have only been doing this 5 months please try not to blow my mind.

  • XML Table layout? Two EQUAL-width rows filled with equally width buttons??

    - by Oliver Goossens
Hi heres a part from my XML for LAND format: <TableLayout android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_gravity="center" android:stretchColumns="*"> <TableRow> <Button android:id="@+id/countbutton" android:text="@string/plus1"/> <Button android:id="@+id/resetbutton" android:text="@string/reset" /> </TableRow> </TableLayout> And now what I dont get - the WIDTH of one row and also of the button depends on the TEXT inside the button. If the both texts are equaly long lets say : TEXT its ok - the table half is in the middle of the screen. But if they have different size - lets say "A" and "THIS IS THE LONG BUTTON" the CENTER of the table isnt in the middle of the screen anymore and so the buttons are not equally width... Cant find any solution... Please advise... Thank you Oliver Goossens

  • Java Instance of: Supertypes und Subtypes seem to be equal? How to test exaclty for Type?

    - by jens
Hello, i would be thankful for your advice. I need to test, if an instance is exactly of a given type. But it seems that instanceof returns true also if the subtype is tested for the supertype (case 3). I never knew this before and I am quite surprised. Am I doing something wrong here? How do I exactly test for a given typen? //.. class DataSourceEmailAttachment extends EmailAttachment //... EmailAttachment emailAttachment = new EmailAttachment(); DataSourceEmailAttachment emailAttachmentDS = new DataSourceEmailAttachment(); if (emailAttachment instanceof EmailAttachment){ System.out.println(" 1"); } if (emailAttachment instanceof DataSourceEmailAttachment){ System.out.println(" 2"); } if (emailAttachmentDS instanceof EmailAttachment){ System.out.println(" 3 "); } if (emailAttachmentDS instanceof DataSourceEmailAttachment){ System.out.println(" 4"); } RESULT: 1 3 4 I want to avoid case 3, I only want "exact matches" (case 1 and 4) how to thest for them?? thanks!!! • Is there an easy way to compare if 2 XDocuments are equal ignoring element/attribute order?

    - by Davy8
Unit testing my serialization code I found one failed because I had attributes listed in a different order (I'm just comparing the XDocument.ToString() values) and while I could fix that, it really doesn't matter to me in what order the elements or attributes appear as long as they're all there with the right name at the right level of hierarchy. I could probably write a method do this, but I'm wondering if there's an easy built in way I'm not aware of.

  • why unsigned int 0xFFFFFFFF is equal to int -1?

    - by conejoroy
perhaps it's a very stupid question but I'm having a hard time figuring this out =) in C or C++ it is said that the maximum number a size_t (an unsigned int data type) can hold is the same as casting -1 to that data type. for example see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1420982/invalid-value-for-sizet Why?? I'm confused.. I mean, (talking about 32 bit ints) AFAIK the most significant bit holds the sign in a signed data type (that is, bit 0x80000000 to form a negative number). then, 1 is 0x00000001.. 0x7FFFFFFFF is the greatest positive number a int data type can hold. then, AFAIK the binary representation of -1 int should be 0x80000001 (perhaps I'm wrong). why/how this binary value is converted to anything completely different (0xFFFFFFFF) when casting ints to unsigned?? or.. how is it possible to form a binary -1 out of 0xFFFFFFFF? I have no doubt that in C: ((unsigned int)-1) == 0xFFFFFFFF or ((int)0xFFFFFFFF) == -1 is equally true than 1 + 1 == 2, I'm just wondering why. thanks!

  • C: How come an array's address is equal to its value?

    - by Alexandre
    In the following bit of code, pointer values and pointer addresses differ as expected. But array values and addresses don't! How can this be? Output my_array = 0022FF00 &my_array = 0022FF00 pointer_to_array = 0022FF00 &pointer_to_array = 0022FEFC ... #include <stdio.h> int main() { char my_array[100] = "some cool string"; printf("my_array = %p\n", my_array); printf("&my_array = %p\n", &my_array); char *pointer_to_array = my_array; printf("pointer_to_array = %p\n", pointer_to_array); printf("&pointer_to_array = %p\n", &pointer_to_array); printf("Press ENTER to continue...\n"); getchar(); return 0; }

Edit Section : I found a solution but it gives me error var html = $.ajax({ url: mp, //complete: hideBlocker, async: false }).responseText; $("#HomeView").hide(); $("#ContentView").html(html); //in this line it gives me script error $("#ContentView").show("fast"); the error says : SCRIPT5007: 'undefined' is null or not an object the stop line is : var count = theForm.elements.length; debugger is Microsoft internet explorer 9.0 beta

  • Can I specify the order of how changes happen in an single App Engine transaction ? Is it equal to t

    - by indiehacker
If I passed a list of key ids as an argument in a transaction, would the change associated with the first key in the list happen first? And if not, how do I specify the order that I want the changes to happen in? As a concrete example, consider this code below from Google Docs Transactions--would changes to the first item in acc.key() happen first? class Accumulator(db.Model): counter = db.IntegerProperty() Docshttp://code.google.com/appengine/docs/python/datastore/transactions.html: def increment_counter(key, amount): obj = db.get(key) obj.counter += amount obj.put() q = db.GqlQuery("SELECT * FROM Accumulator") acc = q.get() db.run_in_transaction(increment_counter, acc.key(), 5)

  • Is there a jQuery widget equal to DOJO's TitlePane?

    - by Bill Caswell
I like the visual behavior of the DOJO TitlePane widget, but it has too much other bunk for my purpose. http://dojotoolkit.org/reference-guide/dijit/TitlePane.html#dijit-titlepane Is anyone aware of a jQuery widget that provides the same ability to expose and hide content in a stacked manner with the little flippy-arrow, pane highlighting on mouse over, etc? An accordion does not accomplish my goal being able to have multiple panes open at the same time. Thanks in advance.

  • Why can I set an anonymous enum equal to another in C but not C++?

    - by samoz
I have the following code snippet: enum { one } x; enum { two } y; x = y; That will compile in C, but in C++, I get the following error: test.c:6: error: cannot convert ‘main()::<anonymous enum>’ to ‘main()::<anonymous enum>’ in assignment Can someone explain to me why this is happening? I would prefer an answer with some specifics about why the compiler behaves this way, rather than just "You can't do that"

  • Why cast null before checking if object is equal to null?

    - by jacerhea
I was looking through the "Domain Oriented N-Layered .NET 4.0 Sample App" project and ran across some code that I do not understand. In this project they often use syntax like the following to check arguments for null: public GenericRepository(IQueryableContext context,ITraceManager traceManager) { if (context == (IQueryableContext)null) throw new ArgumentNullException("context", Resources.Messages.exception_ContainerCannotBeNull); Why would you cast null to the type of the object you are checking for null?

  • Is there a work-around that allows missing data to equal NULL for LOAD DATA INFILE in MySQL?

    - by richardh
I have a lot of large csv files with NULL values stored as ,, (i.e., no entry). After a lot of searching I found that this is a known "bug", although it may be a feature for some users. Is there a way that I can fix this on the fly without pre-processing? These data are all numeric, so a zero value is very different from NULL. Or if I have to do pre-processing, is there one that is most promising for dealing with tens of csv files of 100mb to 1gb? Thanks!

  • Why does ElapsedTicks X 10 000 not equal ElapsedMilliseconds for .Net's Stopwatch?

    - by uriDium
I am trying to performance test some code. I am using a stopwatch. When I output the number of milliseconds it always tells me 0 so I thought that I would try the number of ticks. I am seeing that the number of ticks is about 20 000 to 30 000. Looking at the MSDN at TimeSpan.TicksPerMillisecond it says that is 10 000 ticks per millisecond. In that case why are the elapsed milliseconds on my stopwatch not appearing as 2 or 3? What am I missing? I have even outputed the result on the same line. This is what I get. Time taken: 26856 ticks, 0 ms And it is constant.

  • All things equal what is the fastest way to output data to disk in C++?

    - by user260197
I am running simulation code that is largely bound by CPU speed. I am not interested in pushing data in/out to a user interface, simply saving it to disk as it is computed. What would be the fastest solution that would reduce overhead? iostreams? printf? I have previously read that printf is faster. Will this depend on my code and is it impossible to get an answer without profiling? Edit: Output data needs to be in text format, whether tab or comma separated. This will require formatting, precision, etc. Running in Windows.
