  • UITableViewCell similar to one in "Things" app

    Hi im looking (but cant find) for sample app that will show me how to implement UITableView with custom UITableViewCell that is similar to one in the Things app, with smooth animation from read-only view (that hides empty cells) to editable view that shows only cells that can be edited, and custom cell with multiline input with small image. I would appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction. Im new to Cocoa/Objective-C programming but Im familiar with Object Oriented programing concepts.

    Hi all, I'm using GemBox for my project now. Currently my module requires only excel which is why I've tried and really like using this application. Talk to my PM about the possibility of purchasing it but they wanted something similar that might work for word documents as well as just excel so that others might use it as it is more common for word documents to be generated.

  • How to get "Friends who like/play games" list (similar to Farmville 2)

    I'm working on a Facebook app, and I'm trying to get a friends list similar to Farmville 2. They have a "friends who like games" list. My first thought is, I can get a list of all friends, then for each friend, see if they like any pages with type == "GAMES/TOYS". But ideally, I would like to get the list in one query (not by making one graph API or FQL request per friend). Is this possible, and if so, how?

    Hi Guys, I need suggestions with regards to the multiple file upload using File Upload control in asp.net(along with C#). I have a File Upload Control, so i click the 'Browse' button and when i select a file from the select file dialog, i want the file to be shown as a link below the File Upload Control( somewhat similar to gmail). This file should be seen such a way that it can be deleted, if i wanted to. And also i should be able to upload another file from the File Upload control. All these files should be uploaded to a location when i use a button click event in the end. I think i have made myself clear. Any Suggestions are really helpful. Thanks.

    I'd like to add a header view to an UIWebView similar to the address/search bar in MobileSafari and the excellent Articles.app by Sophia Teutschler. More precisely, I'd like to create a "pull to fix orientation" view above a UIWebView, just like in Articles. Articles does use a UIWebView, so it seems to be possible. Is there a way to accomplish this without having to embed the UIWebView into a UIScrollView and updating its size all the time, as described in this article? Apparently, I do need the scrolling events to have the "pull to fix orientation" behave accordingly.

  • Python thread pool similar to the multiprocessing Pool?

    Is there a Pool class for worker threads, similar to the multiprocessing module's Pool class? I like for example the easy way to parallelize a map function def long_running_func(p): c_func_no_gil(p) p = multiprocessing.Pool(4) xs = p.map(long_running_func, range(100)) however I would like to do it without the overhead of creating new processes. I know about the GIL. However, in my usecase, the function will be an IO-bound C function for which the python wrapper will release the GIL before the actual function call. Do I have to write my own threading pool?

It should report the number of rows with the same values for (green.h.0, green.v.0, and offset.0) by only looking at the previous rows. The example above uses the expected values, but assume they are incorrect. How can I add a new column (say "count") which will count all previous rows which have the same values of the specified variables? I have gotten help on a similar problem of just selecting all rows with the same values for specified columns, so I supposed I could just write a loop around that, but it seems inefficient to me.

    I want to select an element based on it's class and id, I have seen many similar questions on SO. Most of the users ask why would you ever want to do this - which is not very helpful, trust me, this is the simplest way of solving my UI problem, and it's a very unique and intereting UI related to making generic triple stores easily browsable. At the moment the jQUery looks like this: $(document).ready( function() { $(".predicates").hide(); $(".objects").hide(); $("#subject").click( function() { $("#predId, .predicates").toggle(); // this line } ); $("#predId").click( function() { $("#objId, .objects").toggle(); } ); }); The line I am really interested in is this $("#predId, .predicates").toggle(); how do I get the select to ensure that both #predId and .predicates are true, at the moment it seems that only one or the other has to be true. Is there something like an && operator?

  • Different execution plan for similar queries

    I am running two very similar update queries but for a reason unknown to me they are using completely different execution plans. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but they are both updating exactly the same amount of rows but one is using an execution plan that is far inferior to the other, 4 secs vs 2 mins, when scaled up this is causing me a massive problem. The only difference between the two queries is one is using the column CLI and the other DLI. These columns are exactly the same datatype, and are both indexed exactly the same, but for the DLI query execution plan, the index is not used.     Hello! I have articles on my site, and I would like to add tags which would describe each article, but I'm having problems with design mysql table for tags. I have two ideas: 1) each article would have field "tags", and tags would be in format: "tag1,tag2,tag3" 2) create other table called tags with fields: tag_name, article_id, so when I want tags for article with ID 1, I would run SELECT ... FROM tags WHERE news_id=1; But, I would also like to know 3 similar articles by comparing tags, so if I have article which has tags "php,mysql,erlang", and 5 articles with tags: "php,mysql", "erlang,ruby", "php erlang", "mysql,erlang,javascript", I would choose 1., 3. and 4., since those 3 have most same tags with main article.     I have been looking at jQUery thickbox for showing modal dialogs with images, it is great. But now I have the need to display a hidden div of content that contains an iFrame in a similar fashion, with a link to open the content.   • XSLT Similar functionality to SQL "WHERE LIKE"

    I have the following XML <Answer> <Label>FCVCMileage</Label> <Value>3258</Value> <Iteration>0</Iteration> <DataType>NUMBER</DataType> </Answer> And need to get the Value underneath the Mileage label. However the 4 letter prefix to Mileage could be any 1 of 8 different prefixes. I know I could find the value by testing for every combination using xsl:if or xsl:choose but is there a more elegant way that would work similar to the following SQL and also wouldn't need changes to code being made if other prefixes were added. WHERE label LIKE '%Mileage' NB. There will only ever be 1 label element containing the word Mileage Cheers!
