  • Best Configuration For Youtube HD 720p

    - by Eray Alakese
Hello, I'm recording a screencast with CamStudio . My computer's screen resolution is 1280*800 , so video's resolution is 1280*800, too. I'm using Microsoft Video 1 codec when recording. I was record 9 minutes video and this video's size is 214 MB . I will upload this video to Youtube. I'm coding a web site at the video, because of this, video must be quality (720p) . I want to reduce file's size, before upload . I'm using Total Video Converter . But when i convert to FLV , video's size increase to 250MB :) I don't know, how can i configure this setting and which file type should i choose.

  • Uploading to YouTube makes all browser tabs and devices disconnect

    - by fabsenet
Whenever I upload a video to YouTube all other browser tabs behave like there is no connection at all. It even affects my phone and other computers on the network therefor I think it has to do with my router. When the upload is done everything works normally again. I never observed this behavior with any other upload. My router is a Fritz!Box 7390 and my uploading PC is connected through a 1000mb/s switch (wired) to the router. Uploading through another browser does not change anything. I understand that other sites become slow as the network resources are limited, but stopping altogether feels wrong. speed.io measures for my internet connection: 40.894 Kbit/s down, 2.685 Kbit/s up, 29 ms ping, 2.048 con/m connects

  • Automatize uploading the YouTube

    - by John
Here's the problem: I would like to keep lots of home made videos. Of course, they are subject to being lost, or somebody could steal the the computer, or water or fire could destroy them. Secondly, I have to plug in my hard drive every time I want to watch something, which I find slow and cumbersome. I was thinking that perhaps I could upload the videos to Youtube with the privacy set to invite only and then delete the video from the hard drive automatically. Could this be done?

  • Record 8 separate Line IN Channels from M-Audio Delta 1010 Card

    - by Peter Hoffmann
I want to record the 8 separate Line IN Channels from my M-Audio Delta 1010 Card. The card is recogniced nicely and a can record a single channel via arecord -d 10 -f cd -t wav -D channel1 out2.wav. I've set up the different channels in ~/.asoundrc. Now if I want to record a second channel in parallel (arecord -d 10 -f cd -t wav -D channel2 out2.wav) I get the error arecord: main:564: audio open error: Device or resource busy As I understand the delta 1010 is a single Access Card, so only one application can access it at a time. Is this correct? The next step was to configure a dual channel input in .asoundrc # envy24 channel 1+2 only pcm.test { type plug ttable.0.0 1 ttable.0.1 1 slave.pcm ice1712 } Which works ok when I do a arecord -d 10 -f cd -t wav -D test -c 2 out.wav (BTW can anyone point me to a tool to split a multi channel wav into a file per channel?) But when I want to record the channels separately with (-I option) arecord -d 10 -f cd -t wav -D test -c 2 -I channel1.wav channel2.wav I get no recordings. Did I miss something with the configuration or what are my options to record all 8 channels via arecord. I've no experience with jackd. Is it an option to install jackd and record the line ins via jackd?

  • How do I call this function in CodeIgniter controller?

    - by Jason Shultz
    I've got this code, but I'm not sure I make it work: /** * Function: youtube data grabber * * @description : * @param $ : video code, url type (embed/url) * @return : data array * @author : Mamun. * @last -modified-by: Mamun. */ if (! function_exists('youtube_data_grabber')) { function youtube_data_grabber($video_code, $link_type = "embed") { if ($video_code != '') { if ($link_type == "embed") { $splited_data = explode("=",$video_code); $video_unique_code = substr(strrchr($splited_data[4],"/"),1,-strlen(strrchr($splited_data[4],"&"))); } else if ($link_type == "url") { $splited_data = explode("=",$video_code); $video_unique_code = substr($splited_data[1],0,-strlen(strrchr($splited_data[1],"&"))); } else { return; } // set feed URL $feedURL = 'http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/videos/'.$video_unique_code; // read feed into SimpleXML object $sxml = simplexml_load_file($feedURL); return $sxml; } } } // End Youtube Function I'm not sure how to activate it is what I'm trying to say. I placed it in the controller and it's within a function for one of my pages. I don't have any syntax errors. I just don't know how to wake it up and make it work. I thought I could just put youtube_data_grabber('http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAcrFym10ZI', 'url'); but that didn't work. I got the code from here: http://bit.ly/b7YnDt and I have the zend functionality working. I tested it earlier and had no errors. I'm just having trouble with this youtube part. Any ideas?

  • iphone: problem playing youtube mp4's over 3g network

    - by Alex1987
Hi guys I'm am developing an app that enables the user to stream youtube mp4 videos on the iphone. What I did was very simple - I just took a url of the form http://youtube.com/get_video?*&fmt=18 (for example http://youtube.com/get_video?video_id=KUXGVfmrEN4&&t=vjVQa1PpcFNrxzfbeI6WrJfK6s0BdQ9ypMgV_6yqwjo=&fmt=18) and used mpmovieplayercontroller or UIWebView to stream the video. It works great over WIFI but doesn't work at all on 3g network . On 3g I get a blank page in the UIWebView or file format not supported on mpmovieplayercontroller. Does youtube block access from 3g networks to its mp4 videos? How to bypass this? You can check this easily yourself on your own iphone by preforming the following steps: 1. Obtain the download link. You can do this easily by downloading the following plugin for firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/13990. 2. Email the link to your email. 3. Open your mail on the iphone and click on the link. Try this on WIFI and 3g.

  • YouTube - Encrypted cookie string

    - by Robertof
Hello! I'm new to Stack Overflow. I'm building a YouTube Downloader in PHP. But YouTube have some IP-checks. Because the PHP file is on a remote server, the ip of the server != the ip of the user and the video-download fails. So, maybe I've found a solution. YouTube sends a cookie with an encrypted string, which is the user IP. I need to know the encrypted-string algorithm and know how to crypt a string with this. Here there is the string: nQ0CrJmASJk . It could be base64, but when I try to decode it with base64_decode, it gives me strange characters. You could check the cookie by requesting the main page of youtube, and check the headers "Set-Cookie". You will found a cookie with the name "VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE". Here there is the encrypyed string. Anyone knows what is the algorithm? Thanks. PS: sorry for my bad english. Cheers, Roberto.

  • YouTube API, jQuery attr won't swap element attributes (I think) in IE, but works in FF

    - by Anthony
JavaScript (jQuery) function display_youtube(new_url) { $('#movie_url').removeAttr('value'); $('#embed_url').removeAttr('src'); $(document).ready(function() { $('#movie_url').attr('value', new_url); $('#embed_url').attr('src', new_url); $('#shade').css('display', 'block'); $('#youtube_player').css('display', 'block'); $('#exit_youtube').css('display', 'block'); }); } HTML <object width="720" height="480"> <param id="movie_url" name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/_eaToCSn7yU?f=user_uploads&app=youtube_gdata&autoplay=0" /> <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /> <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /> <embed id="embed_url" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/_eaToCSn7yU?f=user_uploads&app=youtube_gdata&autoplay=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="720" height="480" /> </object> Hyperlink <a href="javascript:display_youtube('http://www.youtube.com/v/_eaToCSn7yU?f=user_uploads&app=youtube_gdata&autoplay=1');">Click Here for Fun!</a> What I've done is parsed YouTube's API for the videos on my user channel. The hyperlink above is php generated, meant to trigger the above JavaScript function, and swap the url from attributes contained in ids "movie_url" and "embed_url". Works just like it should in FF, but IE will only perform the .css commands. My guess? IE doesn't like me assigning IDs to PARAM and EMBED, perhaps? What do you think?

  • SQLAuthority News – Social Media Series – YouTube and Movies

    - by pinaldave
Pinal Dave on Youtube! Some people might not know it, but YouTube is actually more than a place to watch funny cat videos and people singing their favorite pop songs – it’s actually a social media site.  When you are a member of YouTube you can follow people who regularly post videos, post video responses of your own, and even gain a following for your own videos.  I myself was not aware of YouTube’s potential until recently, when I started to make SQL Server in Sixty Seconds videos. YouTube is very different than other types of social media, and a big factor is that anyone can look at videos without being a member.  Unlike other social media sites, like Twitter and Facebook, you have to have an account in order to participate.  But on YouTube you are even more anonymous.  To make and post videos you need an account, but anyone who comes to the site can look at what you’ve made without signing in or leaving any trace of having seen your material.  This makes YouTube very anonymous and hard to track. However, we should not overlook the power of video on the internet.  Over the past few months I have been making SQL Server in Sixty Second videos and have come to love it.  It is very exciting to be able to talk about a subject that mostly I write about, and for many people video is far more accessible and easy to understand.   I have really enjoyed diving into something new, and would love to have more people check out these videos and give me feedback.  You can find me at www.youtube.com/user/pinaldave. I am very excited with all the possibilities on YouTube and it might just be the technology evangelist in me, but I would love for other people to discover how fun and exciting this site can be, too.  Don’t think of it as just a place to find funny videos and waste a few minutes of your time, think of it as a place to learn and interact with interesting people.  Come watch a few of my videos, while you’re there.  Remember, everything is free and there are no contracts to sign, but I hope that you get as excited as I am and join up.  We need more people creating good content on this site! • YouTube: Tips by Bitwise Courses on NetBeans

    - by Geertjan
I really like the potential of YouTube in providing a platform for short info clips that take not much time to produce and about as much time to consume. Huw Collingbourne's Bitwise Courses channel is full of exactly this kind of YouTube clip. Several of his YouTube clips are about or make use of NetBeans. The related Twitter account is @bitwisecourses and the homepage is bitwisecourses.com. Here's a great example, the latest YouTube clip created by Bitwise Courses. Very clear and simple explanation, on a specific and narrow topic, and very short and sweet. And very useful! Didn't know about this feature myself. Direct link to the movie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0fKT_hFQpU Here's to more of these, they're wonderful. More such YouTube clips are needed, short and precise, on very specific topics. And I'm very happy to promote them, as you can see.

  • Embedding a YouTube Video Based on a PHP Variable

    - by jeffpm
I have a website that I am creating for a class project. The website shows information about bands (which is stored in a mysql database). I am trying to spruce up the site a bit, and I would like to embed a YouTube video based on the band's name. Say, for instance, I have "Led Zeppelin" stored in my database. How can I take a PHP variable containing "Led Zeppelin", search YouTube using that variable, find a random video, and then embed that in the website? From the research I've done, it seems you can only embed YouTube videos if you know the exact address of the video. Thanks!

  • Youtube video embed in WebView and MoviePlayer control

    - by Tronic
hi, i embed a youtube video into a webview. the problem is: when i pop the current view (which includes the webview) from navigation controller, the the movie itself stops, but the audio is continues running. when i push the view controller on the navigation controller again, i can play the movie newly, but the old audio is still there. my webview code ids_ = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:@"2b84g38Z_60",@"3URx0tM-rMc",@"HZpi-2HVhq0",@"Hhns0DRPI44",@"hRuoxRQ4Q3k",@"lkMXwNBGRA8",@"tXGc6wWIFJo",@"uzGdEn8aW-Q",@"ZAoEBdt8C5M",@"vn8EJqt2BvQ",@"7Z_qRbjG6Ck",@"JspRcxGUijs"@"lM2lcVOh5YU",@"2b84g38Z_60",nil]; int numIds_ = [ids_ count]; NSLog(@"%d", arc4random()%numIds_); NSString *youTubeVideoHTML = [[NSString alloc] initWithFormat:@"<html><head></head><body style=\"margin:0;background-color:#000;\"><iframe class=\"youtube-player\" type=\"text/html\" width=\"640\" height=\"365\" src=\"http://www.youtube.com/embed/%@\" frameborder=\"0\"></iframe></body></html>", [ids_ objectAtIndex:arc4random()%numIds_]]; NSLog(youTubeVideoHTML); [youtubeView loadHTMLString:youTubeVideoHTML baseURL:nil]; thanks in advance

  • embed multiple youtube videos to chromeless player cue

    - by Quaze
So in the project ive been working on i use the youtube API to add a video to a chromeless player (got custom buttons, everything works no problems). It loads the youtube id which it gets from the database (Codeigniter, PHP). But what i would like to see is: instead of loading 1 video, id like to add all the videos i get from the database in the cue of that one player. So only one screen, first video retrieved from dbase gets played first, when its done second get loaded preferably also looped. Is there any way i can achieve this? My first guess would be to save the array with youtube id's somewhere and on state change (when the 'video stop'-event gets fired) load the next id from the array. Havent tried this yet because id prefer if the cue gets just gets filled on the init, so it doesnt have to load after a video has been ended. Is This possible?

  • Youtube python: get thumbnail

    - by dkgirl
Is there a simple way to get the default thumbnail from a youtube entry object gdata.youtube.YouTubeVideoEntry? I tried entry.media.thumbnail, but that gives me four thumbnail objects. Can I always trust that there are four? Can I know which is the default thumbnail that would also appears on the youtube search page? And how would I get that one? Or do I have to alter one of the other ones? When I know the video_id I use: http://i4.ytimg.com/vi/{{video_id}}/default.jpg so, it would also be helpful to get the video_id. Do I really have to parse one of the url's to get at the video_id ? It seems strange that they don't provide this information directly.

  • Are there any Android YouTube Player Flags?

    - by stormin986
My goal is to launch a video in the YouTube player, and then return to my app. I realize I can't control what's going on in another app, BUT I'm wondering if the YouTube app supports any kind of flags or data set in the calling Intent that might support this functionality. Anyone aware of any? I cannot find any documentation on the YouTube app/activities. I had to watch the logs just to figure out which activity to call in the first place (so the choose app dialog didn't appear).

Youtube video does not show up in a modal window when viewed in a desktop version of Chrome. The modal window pops up but the youtube video does not. https://animalhealth.pfizer.com/sites/pahweb/US/EN/Products/Pages/ClarifideStories.aspx It works in IE and Firefox on Windows7, works in Chrome on Android ICS and iOS6 iPad. It is on a sharepoint site but if I open a version saved to my desktop it works fine in chrome.
