• Apache Commons Net FTPClient retrievefile method issue with Sterling Commerce Connect

  Hi All, We have been using apache commons net FTP classes to connect using a proxy to a Sterling commerce FTP gateway located outside our network to pull files. We do not list the files since we know the name of the file to be pulled so we pull it directly using the below method. boolean isTransferred = ftp.retrieveFile(remoteFileName, outputFile); It was working since 3 years and we have been facing issues since last 2 weeks. The error occurs at above line and is org.apache.commons.net.ftp.FTPConnectionClosedException: FTP response 421 received. Server closed connection. org.apache.commons.net.ftp.FTP.__getReply(FTP.java:347) org.apache.commons.net.ftp.FTP.sendCommand(FTP.java:450) org.apache.commons.net.ftp.FTP.sendCommand(FTP.java:478) org.apache.commons.net.ftp.FTPClient.openDataConnection(FTPClient.java:476) org.apache.commons.net.ftp.FTPClient.retrieveFile(FTPClient.java:1228) We are facing these issues intermittently since last 2 weeks and not sure what could be the root cause of it. Now in this page when user's name is displayed its showing rai.. thats the QUESTION why?? cause session should store the same mohit value cause we havnt made any change in session..

• IE7 issue - cannot download streamed file when Automatic prompting for file downloads is disabled

  Hi, My application is J2EE (JSP/Servlet) based. I encounter an issue when i try to open a new window (pop-up) from JSP and call a Servlet action (e.g. Streamer.do) which streams a PDF file inside that pop-up. Problem: While IE 7 - Tools - Internet Options - Security - Custom Level - Downloads - Automatic prompting for file downloads is Disabled and while pop-up window get opened, I am unable to download the file (Save/Open prompt is not comming up). In contrast, when I enable this option, I am able to download. But this option sometimes would be disabled in some environments. While testing this in Mozilla Firefox 3.0/3/5/IE6 it is working fine without any settings change. When i check it to enable i then get the Save/Open prompt to work correctly. This should be problem with IE7. Can anybody help us with Javascript or any working settings which doesnt care whether the "Automatic prompting for downloads" option in IE7 is enabled. • Assigning console.log to another object (Webkit issue)

  I wanted to keep my logging statements as short as possible while preventing console from being accessed when it doesn't exist; I came up with the following solution: var _ = {}; if (console) { _.log = console.debug; } else { _.log = function() { } } To me, this seems quite elegant, and it works great in Firefox 3.6 (including preserving the line numbers that make console.debug more useful than console.log). But it doesn't work in Safari 4. [Update: Or in Chrome. So the issue seems to be a difference between Firebug and the Webkit console.] If I follow the above with console.debug('A') _.log('B'); the first statement works fine in both browsers, but the second generates a "TypeError: Type Error" in Safari. Is this just a difference between how Firebug and the Safari Web Developer Tools implement console? If so, it is VERY annoying on Apple's Webkit's part. Binding the console function to a prototype and then instantiating, rather than binding it directly to the object, doesn't help. I could, of course, just call console.debug from an anonymous function assigned to _.log, but then I'd lose my line numbers. Any other ideas?

• iPhone - UIImage imageScaledToSize Memory Issue

  I have done research and tried several times to release the UIImage memory and have been unsuccessful. I saw one other post on the internet where someone else was having this same issue. Everytime imageScaledToSize is called, the ObjectAlloc continues to climb. In the following code I am pulling a local image from my resource directory and resizing it with some blur. Can someone provide some help on how to release the memory of the UIImages called....scaledImage and labelImage. This is the chunk of code where the iPhone Intruments has shown to have the ObjectAlloc build up.   I have an interesting issue today!! Basically I have two classes. public class A : B { public virtual new ISet<DifferentItem> Items {get;set;} } public class B { public virtual int Id {get;set;} public virtual ISet<Item> Items {get;set;} } The subclass A hides the base class B property, Items and replaces it with a new property with the same name and a different type. The mappings for these classes are public class AMapping : SubclassMap<A> { public AMapping() { HasMany(x=>x.Items) .LazyLoad() .AsSet(); } } public class BMapping : ClassMap<B> { public BMapping() { Id(x=>x.Id); HasMany(x=>x.Items) .LazyLoad() .AsSet(); } } However when I run my unit test to check the mapping I get the following exception: Tests the A mapping: NHibernate.PropertyAccessException : Invalid Cast (check your mapping for property type mismatches); setter of A ---- System.InvalidCastException : Unable to cast object of type 'NHibernate.Collection.Generic.PersistentGenericSet1[Item]' to type 'Iesi.Collections.Generic.ISet1[DifferentItem]'. Anyone have any ideas? Clearly it is something to do with the type of the collection on the sub-class. But I skimmed through the available options on the mapping class and nothing stood out as being the solution here.

• WPF DataGrid inside Accordion height issue

  I am using the latest WPF Toolkit but am running into a height issue when I have a large record set bound into a datagrid inside an AccordionItem item. The height of the Accordion itself scales nicely but the datagrid inside the accordion control doesn't get get a scrollbar or get constrained in any way so the records are hidden. • An annoying printing issue with Crystal Reports 2008

  A little background: I have an extremely annoying printing issue with crystal reports. My environment is crystal reports 2008 SP2 on Windows 7 (64bit), Visual studio 2008 and .net framework 3.5 with all the latest updates for everything. The report is designed basically to render a small shelf label of the size (40mm width and 20mm height). In crystal when I set the page size to the above mentioned values and set orientation to portrait and take a preview, everything is displayed as i expect it to be and issuing a print command, it prints absolutely correct. The problem: The problem comes when i print this report from my program (in vb.net), dynamically setting data to some text fields, the result is that crystal somehow changes the print orientation, NOT the paper orientation as in portrait or landscape. Instead of printing from top left towards the bottom right, it rotates the whole output at 90 degrees to the left and reduces everything so small that it is barely visible, although it prints everything out. I have tested it on Intermec PF8t and Zebra GK420d label printers and a whole bunch of laser printers, but with the above stated page settings the output is always the same. Another strange thing that i noticed while experimenting with page sizes if i switch to landscape mode, the print out is correct in its font sizes and positions but then the text gets truncated due to overflowing the page size. Can anyone help me with this. Does crystal has anything like its own print drivers or something. I have tried to ensure to the best of my abilities that it is not a printer driver problem.

• Issue with IHttpHandler and relative URLs

  Hi, I've developed a IHttpHandler class and I've configured it as verb="*" path="*", so I'm handling all the request with it in an attempt of create my own REST implementation for a test web site that generates the html dynamically. So, when a request for a .css file arrives, I've to do something like context.Response.WriteFile(Server.MapPath(url)) ... same for pictures and so on, I have to response everything myself. My main issue, is when I put relative URLs in the anchors; for example, I have main page with a link like this <a href="page1">Go to Page 1</a> , and in Page 1 I have another link <a href="page2">Go to Page 2</a>. Page 1 and 2 are supposed to be at the same level (http://host/page1 and http://host/page2, but when I click in Go to Page 2, I got this url in the handler: ~/page1/~/page2 ... what is a pain, because I have to do an url = url.SubString(url.LastIndexOf('~')) for clean it, although I feel that there is nothing wrong and this behavior is totally normal. Right now, I can cope with it, but I think that in the future this is gonna bring me some headache. I've tried to set all the links with absolute URLs using the information of context.Request.Url, but it's also a pain :D, so I'd like to know if there is a nicer way to do these kind of things. Don't hesitate in giving me pretty obvious responses because I'm pretty new in web development and probably I'm skipping something basic about URLs, Http and so on.   I have a form on which I use validation. This form has a section for photo upload. Now, when I use this new form and upload an image, I receive an error (repeated three times) saying: validator is undefined http://host.com/path/index.php Line 286 What is going on here? My guess is this Submit event bubbles up to the outer form As we have validation on that form, validation is triggered, Validation tries to find the form triggering it, Since we have not bound validation to the inner form it returns 'undefined' Now, is my assessment correct? Whether it is or not, how can I solve this issue?

  Hi all, My application supports internationalization and localization, each user can choose his preference language and the application will reflect it perfectly. the issue is when the first user selects English and the second one selects French the resource bundle for the first user will read from the French resource after refreshing his page. The issue I am experiencing is that the collection is getting populated correctly within the property in the class (FetchAll) but when I pass the collection back to the module (Test) all the entries are populated with the last item in the list. • Semantic Grid System, Media Query issue

  I'm using the Semantic Grid System to build a responsive site. However, something isn't quite right with the media queries that should obviously kick in once it hits a particular screen size. I'll reference what i mean with their example on the website : if I view this on my iPhone for example, given that it is supposed to adjust to a single column structure on a mobile device, it still throws out the web version of the page. That is true for both Safari and Chrome on my iPhone. However, if I use the RWD bookmarklet to check it's appearance at different resolutions it appears as expected for the mobile resolution. Also, ironically, if I resize the page in Safari on my desktop it also adjusts accordingly once I get down to the approriate screen size, but not in Firefox. The media query that it uses once it hits 720px is @media screen and (max-width: 720px) { #maincolumn, #sidebar { .column(12); margin-bottom: 1em; } } and I might be wide of the mark here but I think that must be the issue. But given that this is directly from the semantic.gs website I'm not inclined to question their own code. Any idea what the problem might be?

• Mysql issue with decimal

  Hello, I have two fields - amount (decimal (11, 2)) - gift_amount (decimal (11, 2)) When I do an update on either for a value equal to or below 999.99, it saves correctly. However, if I go over that, then it drops the value right back to down 1 - 10. Is this a known issue or am I going wrong using decimal? • C# text creation issue

  This is whats going on. I have a huge text file that is suppose to be 1 line per entry. The issue is sometimes the line is broken with a new line. I edit this entire file and wherever the file doesn't begin with ("\"A) i need to append the current line to the previous line ( replacing \n with " "). Everything I come up with keeps appending the line to a new line. Any help is appricated... • Datatable add new column and values speed issue

  I am having some speed issue with my datatables. In this particular case I am using it as holder of data, it is never used in GUI or any other scenario that actually uses any of the fancy features. In my speed trace, this particular constructor was showing up as a heavy user of time when my database is ~40k rows. So my solution to this was to open editing on all of the rows and never close them again. _dt.BeginLoadData(); foreach (DataRow row in _dt.Rows) row.BeginEdit(); Is there a better solution? This feels too much like a big giant hack that will eventually come and bite me. You might suggest that I dont use DataTable at all, but I have already considered that and rejected it due to the amount of effort that would be required to reimplement with a custom class. The main reason it is a datatable is that it is ancient code (.net 1.1 time) and I dont want to spend that much time changing it, and it is also because the original table comes out of a third party component.

• Issue with Facebook JS API, revokeAuthorization

  I am trying to integrate FB connect into our user profile screen. Although, I'm having an issue with FB.ApiClient.revokeAuthorization. http://pastie.org/921942 The basic problem is that I revoke the auth at line 44 after the user clicks the disconnect button. After that, all subsequent API calls don't have a valid session to even check user status. I've tried wrapping blocks in a FB.Connect.forceSessionRefresh block, but then the code will never be called at all. I'm not sure what the proper workflow should be for this purpose. Right now it's basically... User arrives at profile NOT connected to the application. User clicks on the connect button. Once connected, DOM manipulation occurs to hide the connect button and add in a disconnect button. User clicks on the disconnect button. User's authorization to the application is revoked and (it seems) the API session to the FB server is invalidated. DOM manipulation occurs to hide the disconnect button and readd the connect button. User clicks on the connect button. Once connected, the FB.Connect.get_loggedInUser() don't return the actual user.

• jquery Append Issue

  I am getting the append issue with this code. In my xml i go 2 no. of "listgroup" and jquery print propelry. but within the earch "listgroup", first group contain 6 points and second group contain 6 point. these 2 section has to print separately to 'ul' element. • Horizontally and Vertically Center Modal Div IE Issue

  I'm trying to horizontally and vertically center a modal window inside a div. I want it to be cross browser compatible. You can see from the picture below that when I resize IE8 then click, "show modal" button it displays not exactly horizontally centered. This does not seem to be an issue with Chrome. Any thoughts? • SQL Server Blocking Issue

  We currently have an issue that occurs roughly once a day on SQL 2005 database server, although the time it happens is not consistent. Basically, the database grinds to a halt, and starts refusing connections with the following error message. This includes logging into SSMS: A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - The specified network name is no longer available.) Our CPU usage for SQL is usually around 15%, but when the DB is in it's broken state it's around 70%, so it's clearly doing something, even if no-one can connect. Even if I disable the web app that uses the database the CPU still doesn't go down. I am unable to restart the SQLSERVER process as it is unresponsive, so I have to end up killing the process manually, which then puts the DB into Suspect/Recovery mode (which I can fix but it's a pain). Below are some PerfMon stats I gathered when the DB was in it's broken state which might help. I have a bunch more if people want to request them: Active Transactions: 2 (Never Changes) Logical Connections: 34 (NC) Process Blocked: 16 (NC) User Connections: 30 (NC) Batch Request: 0 (NC) Active Jobs: 2 (NC) Log Truncations: 596 (NC) Log Shrinks: 24 (NC) Longest Running Transaction Time: 99 (NC) I guess they key is finding out what the DB is using it's CPU on, but as I can't even log into SSMS this isn't possible with the standard methods. Disturbingly, I can't even use the dedicated admin connection to get into SSMS. I get the same timout as with all other requests. Any advice, reccomendations, or even sympathy, is much appreciated!

However the black rectangle is partially see through since its transparency is set to 20%, therefore it should appear in red, but of a darker red than the rectangle sitting under since it is actually a faded black item. Some rendering problem occurs because of the last line of code that sets the opacity of the containing AbsolutePanel to 100% (which in theory should not affect the visual result). Indeed in that case the panel lying over remains still see through but straight through the background colour of the page! It's like if the panel sitting under was not there at all... Any ideas? This is under GWT 2.0 and IE7.

  Hi, I am trying to redirect my old typepad blog to my new blog (permanent 301 redirect) that runs with wordpress. Is there any way to change my script or add an catch all to the web.config that forwards the URL to my script? When I use "http://subdomain.domain.com/weblog/year/month/what-ever-article.html" in oldURL string, then the redirect works just fine... so I must have some IIS or web.config settings wrong.
