  I'm working on a new software application that utilizes windows media center to play recorded TV shows in the center of the screen. We can get this to work with standard coax or RCA input TV Tuner/Capture cards. My question is this... Are there any TV tuner / capture cards out there that allow you to use Windows Media Center with an HDMI input of some kind?

• Windows 7 CMD.exe jumplist possible?

  It seems CMD does not have it's own jumplist.Has someone created one already? I would like to be able to pin script and command files to cmd.exe only.I can pin them separately with the /explorer as the first line on target box but i would like all of them to be pinned to cmd.exe by default.Kind of like all folders are pinned to explorer.exe.I also made a rather bad looking mockup to make the question a little more clear: http://img576.imageshack.us/img576/9263/cmdjumplist.jpg

  I'm not even sure why I'd want to do this. I guess I'm just curious. Is there a way to get to some kind console, command line, or text-based UI on the iPhone? I'm referring to accessing the iPhone system itself, poking around in the directories, opening files in something akin to vi, that sort of thing.

• Address book software that knows people share addresses

  I'm a bit frustrated with Outlook and Google contacts, as neither understand that people share addresses, or that one address can represent several people. So you either have crappy custom fields like "Bill's mobile", "Jane's mobile", or you have a Bill and a Jane contact, and you have to keep the address updated between the two. Are the any decent, and simple, address book applications out there which have this kind of intelligence? Note: this is for home use, I don't need to do professional 'contact management'.

  YSlow always tells me my content is not served from a CDN no matter what value(s) I put in about:config extensions.yslow.cdnHostnames. I've tried entering my.cdn.com, http://my.cdn.com/folder1/a/b/, http://my.cdn.com basically every variation I could think of and no matter what values I configure it never acknowledges it's hosted on a CDN. Is this just a giant bug in YSlow or is there some kind of specified format that's not explained anywhere that it wants?

• Can a BIND server be a slave to a non-BIND master DNS server?

  If I have a master DNS that is not bind - can bind still slave to it? (ie does it use the DNS protocol or something else?). Kind of related - but do people still do this or do they use some other form of data replication to keep DNS records in sync to the slaves (ie file/database copying)? • How do I turn off accent combining in Windows 7?

  I have English Windows 7 Professional with Hungarian keyboard language installed. The English keyboard layout works as expected, but for the Hungarian layout some kind of "accent combining" is activated. The effect of this ^+o becomes ô, ^+a becomes â, etc. This is not helpful at all, since the accented characters of Hungarian are already mapped to keys, but it's really annoying because I have to type a non-combining character to actually get ^. Is there any way to turn this "feature" off?
