It generated .zip file along with files having extension " .deply.cmd", ".SetParameters.xml", ".SourceManifest.xml" and readme.txt, in Application (obj\Release\Package) folder My intension is to host the package on test server which has IIS6.0, Windows Server 2003 R2 x64 Edition service pack 2. It has .net 4.0. I tried by running the cmd file but its showed me an message as below: ERROR: The system was unable to find the specified registry key or value. msdeploy.exe is not found on this machine.   I'm trying to deserialize JSON which I'm getting from an external source into an Entity Framework entity class using the following code: var serializer = new JavaScriptSerializer(); IList<Feature> obj = serializer.Deserialize<IList<Feature>>(json); The following exception is thrown: Object of type 'System.Collections.Generic.List1[JustTime.Task]' cannot be converted to type 'System.Data.Objects.DataClasses.EntityCollection1[JustTime.Task]'. My model is simple: The Feature class has a one-to-many relation to the Tasks class. The problem appears to be the deserializer is trying to create a generic List to hold the collection of tasks instead of an EntityCollection. I've tried implementing a JavaScriptConverted which would handle System.Collections.Generic.List but it didn't get called by the deserializer.

  I'm trying to create an vocabulary study application using Obj-C and the Cocoa frameworks. I have about two week's experience in both areas and have reached an edge of my current knowledge. Here's where I'm stuck. When I press a checkbox, a corresponding plist is loaded into memory as an NSDictionary. I want to generate a "Label: Textfield" pair for each key:value pair, where the Label is the key. When the text typed into the Textfield matches the key's value, I want the Label's text to turn green. So how would I generate this grid, and once generated, how would I make the text green upon correct input? Thanks!

• Jquery ajax load of JSON in unit tests

  I'm trying to load a dataset in jasmine for my tests like such ... However as its a json call I cant seem to always get the test denoted by "it" to wait till the JSON call has finished before using its array. I tried using the ajaxStop function to no avail. • Book recommendation for a Ruby dev learning Java

  I've been a Ruby developer for the past 4-5 years, and prior to that coded in Perl and a language called ProvideX for years. As hard as it may seem, I've never written a Java application short of the basic Hello World app probably a decade ago. I'm beginning to start doing some Android development to port some iPhone applications we did for a client over to the Android platform. As such, I'm wondering what the best reference book I can buy is to get up to speed quickly with the features (and peculiarities) of Java. There are numerous "Learn Ruby for Java programmers" out there, but not really any reference books for going the otherway of Ruby-to-Java. I'm looking for something preferably like the "Learn Perl the Hard Way" book. I know how to code, I just need a reference on learning the proper mechanics of Java after having done Ruby (and a bit of Obj-C) work exclusively for the past few years.

  Hi, I'm looking for a tool that checks JS code, which can be integrated into a Maven build. I need a tool that will check for errors such as use of reserved words as identifiers trailing semi-colon, e.g. var obj = { a: 1, b, 2, } JSLint seems like a perfect candidate, but the problem is that it is too strict, because it also checks for various coding patterns which are (arguably) bad style, but do not actually generate errors in a browser. Examples of such issues include Disallow ++ and -- and Allow one var statement per function If possible, I would like the errors to fail the build, and I would like the other rules to only print warnings (or disable them completely). • Directory file size calculation - how to make it faster?

  Using C#, I am finding the total size of a directory. The logic is this way : Get the files inside the folder. Sum up the total size. Find if there are sub directories. Then do a recursive search. I tried one another way to do this too : Using FSO (obj.GetFolder(path).Size). There's not much of difference in time in both these approaches. Now the problem is, I have tens of thousands of files in a particular folder and its taking like atleast 2 minute to find the folder size. Also, if I run the program again, it happens very quickly (5 secs). I think the windows is caching the file sizes. Is there any way I can bring down the time taken when I run the program first time??

But only the Animals table has records, Dogs and "Humen" do not for some reason. Is there some steps missing?

• Odd problem with IE8 and z-index CSS property

  I not been able to put one DIV over his parent DIV in Internet Explorer. With Firefox is working as suposed to. The odd part is that if I open the html file directly in IE, everything works fine. But if I upload to the server and open from there, the div is hidden underneath his parent. I've tried several z-index combinations and none works. • JNI: dll function works ok in C++ main, but not with dll wrapper

  I have an a.dll (not modifiable as i do not have the source) with a function bool openPort(DWORD mem).I wrote a c++ main, loaded this dll using LoadLibrary, and the function works well.It returns true. Now, I need to call this function from Java via JNI. • Why is it so hard to build a gtk programe without console using gtk in windows?

  I'm following the tuto: http://zetcode.com/tutorials/gtktutorial/firstprograms/ It works but each time I double click on the executable,there is a console which I don't want it there. How do I get rid of that console? I tried this: add_executable(Cmd WIN32 cmd.c) But got this fatal error: MSVCRTD.lib(crtexew.obj) : error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol _WinMain@16 referenced in function ___tmainCRTStartup Cmd.exe : fatal error LNK1120: 1 unresolved externals While using gcc directly works: gcc -o Cmd cmd.c -mwindows .. I'm guessing it has something to do with the entry function: int main( int argc, char *argv[]),but why gcc works? How can I make it work with cmake?

  Lets say I have: a static library project called "LIB" a application project called "LIBAPP" a application project called "APP" a application project called "APPTEST" When i add "LIB" to LIBAPP Project Dependencies, Visual Studio automatically links "LIBAPP" against LIB. But when i add APP to APPTEST Project Dependencies, it doesnt. Since i am doing unit tests of APP's classes in APPTEST, i have to link against APP, therefore i am currently manually linking against all *.obj files of APP (hundreds...) Since i have to change the link targets of APPTEST everytime i add or remove a *.cpp file from APP, this isnt a nice solution. So is there a way to force Visual Studio to do this for me automatically, like it does when adding a static library Project Dependency ?

• A 110 kb .NET 4.0 app needs 10 seconds for a cold start, thats not acceptable !

  Hello, I am using the .NET 4.0 client profile for my app and I run a dual core with 4 GB Ram and a fast hard disk. nothing big is done at the start just showing a generic List in a wpf listview. How can I make the cold start faster of my assembly ? I have done now again a cold start and run the windowsapplication.exe in my \obj\x86\Debug folder and my harddisk run like hell and it took 10,5 seconds ??? What is wrong? The warm start after the cold one took 1 second. Java 6 apps has not that problem, not at all just to compare...
