    I've create a plain and siple backup script that only backs up certain files and folders. tar -zcf $DIRECTORY/var.www.tar.gz /var/www tar -zcf $DIRECTORY/development.tar.gz /development tar -zcf $DIRECTORY/home.tar.gz /home Now this script runs for about 30mins then gives me the following error gzip: stdout: File too large Any other solutions that I can use to backup my files using shell scripting or a way to solve this error? I'm grateful for any help.

    I am moving from using only Intellij to manage my build system to Intellij/Maven. When I run my integration test "MapSimulationTest" with my own runner via @RunWith(KmlParameterizedRunner.class) Intellij correctly handles the situation, the directory specified by the system property "user.dir" is scanned for .kml files and each is tested. The problem seems to be that Surefire ignores @RunWith, any suggestions?

  • running VisualStudio CF3.5 apps on WINCE

    Hi, I am trying to write a program for a chinese PNA device with wince 5.0. But everytime I write a simple program in VS8 with C# and 'deploy' it to my device it just doesn't run. First it complains about disposing an object call menu, although I don't want an menu but VS8 just creates one for me. If I delete the menu from the form the program gives an exception. I installed a program call MIOPocket on the PNA with has powertoys some games and MS media player. It also creates a directory .net framework 3.5 so I known 3.5 is installed and must be working. But I think I am missing something. I am also not sure what to choice as target device ; windows mobile or WINCE. If I click the .exe file under win7 it works but under wince its a no go. Maybe someone has a clue what is going wrong ?

    I'm trying to figure out how I can specify that the mouse_down event in wxPython (StyledTextCtrl) is first handled by the built in event listener, which changes the caret position, and then handled by my own custom event handler. To bind the custom event handler I use wx.EVT_LEFT_DOWN(self.styCtrl, self.OnMouseClick) def OnMouseClick(self, evt): evt.Skip() foo() I want the built in event handler to fire and complete prior to foo().

  • IPC::Open3 Fails Running Under Apache

    I have a module that uses IPC::Open3 (or IPC::Open2, both exhibit this problem) to call an external binary (bogofilter in this case) and feed it some input via the child-input filehandle, then reads the result from the child-output handle. The code works fine when run in most environments. However, the main use of this module is in a web service that runs under Apache 2.2.6. And under that environment, I get the error: Cannot fdopen STDOUT: Invalid argument This only happens when the code runs under Apache. Previously, the code constructed a horribly complex command, which included a here-document for the input, and ran it with back-ticks. THAT worked, but was very slow and prone to breaking in unique and perplexing ways. I would hate to have to revert to the old version, but I cannot crack this.

    Hi I have the following script to create a table: -- Create State table. DROP TABLE IF EXISTS "State" CASCADE; CREATE TABLE "State" ( StateID SERIAL PRIMARY KEY NOT NULL, StateName VARCHAR(50) ); It runs fine in the query tool of PgAdmin. But when I try to run it from the command line using psql: psql -U postgres -d dbname -f 00101-CreateStateTable.sql I get a syntax error as shown below. 2: ERROR: syntax error at or near "" LINE 1: ^ psql:00101-CreateStateTable.sql:6: NOTICE: CREATE TABLE will create implicit sequence "State_stateid_seq" for serial column "State.stateid" psql:00101-CreateStateTable.sql:6: NOTICE: CREATE TABLE / PRIMARY KEY will create implicit index "State_pkey" for table "State" CREATE TABLE Why do I get a syntax error using psql and not with PGAdmin?   • SQLCMD Syntax error when running script that runs fine in management studio

    When I run the this select '$(''test'')' in SQL Management Studio 2008 it returns $('test') When I run sqlcmd -S SERVER -E -d DATABASE -q "select "$(''test'')" on the command line it returns Sqlcmd: Error: Syntax error at line 1 near command '''. If I remove the dollar sign it works. Is the "$" a special character? Is this a sqlcmd bug? How can I change the script to get the desired result.

  • Running in to some issues with Tumblr's Theme Parser

    Below part of a tumblr theme I'm working on and you will notice that I use the {block:PostType} syntax to declare the opening tag of each post, which is a <li> element in an Ordered List. This allows me to not only dynamicly set the li's class based on the type of post but cuts down on the number of times I'm calling the ShareThis JS which was really bogging down the page. This creates a new issue though which I believe is a flaw in Tumblr's parser. Each post is an ordered list with one <li> element in it. I know I could solve this by having each post as a <div> but I really like the control and semantics of using a list. Tumblr gurus? Suggestions?   • Running a Java daemon with a GWT front-end served by embedded Jetty

    Greetings, coders, Background Info and Code I am trying to create a daemon-type program (e.g., it runs constantly, polling for things to do) that is managed by a GWT application (servlets in a WAR) which is in turn served by an embedded Jetty server (using a WebAppContext). I'm having problems making the GWT application aware of the daemon object. For testing things, I currently have two projects: The daemon and embedded Jetty server in one (EmbJetTest), and the GWT application in another (DefaultApp). This is the current state of the code: First, EmbJetTest creates an embedded Jetty server like so, using a ServletContextListener to inject the daemon object into the web application context: EmbJetTest.server = new Server(8080); // Create and start the daemon Daemon daemon = new Daemon(); Thread thread = new Thread(daemon); thread.start(); // war handler WebAppContext waContext = new WebAppContext(); waContext.setContextPath("/webapp"); waContext.setWar("./apps/DefaultApp.war"); waContext.addEventListener(new DaemonLoader(daemon)); // Add it to the server EmbJetTest.server.setHandler(waContext); EmbJetTest.server.setThreadPool(new QueuedThreadPool(10)); // Start the server; join() blocks until we shut down EmbJetTest.server.start(); EmbJetTest.server.join(); // Stop the daemon thread daemon.stopLoop(); Daemon is a very simple object with a couple properties, at the moment. This StackOverflow answer indicates that this is because the two classes are loaded with different classloaders. Question My question is twofold. Am I even on the right track here? Am I going about this completely the wrong way? Something tells me I am, but I can't think of another way to make the daemon available to both applications. Is there a better way to communicate with the daemon from the GWT application? Should the GWT app own the daemon and somehow start the daemon itself? The daemon needs to run even if no one visits the one of the GWT app's servlets--how could I do this? If I am on the right track, how can I get around the classloader issue? Thanks in advance.

Using Junit3 I could override runTest method from TestCase class - but in JUnit4 tests do not extend TestCase class so I have nothing to override... Is there maybe some method that I need to implement... or sth else...

    My task is to simulate activity of couple of persons. Each of them has few activities to perform in some random time: fast (0-5s), medium(5-10s), slow(10-20s) and very slow(20-30s). Each person performs its task independently in the same time. At the beginning of new task I should print it's random time, start the task and then after time passes show next task's time and start it.   • emacs elisp buffer not running font lock mode until opened by user

    My problem is I am opening a buffer using (set-buffer (find-tag-noselect (current-word))) and then I try to copy some text out of that buffer. The text that I get back has only the properties (fontified nil). find-tag-noselect automatically opens the buffer found in the TAGS file but it seems it does not run the font lock mode over it. When I manually switch to this buffer after it has been opened and then run the function again when it copies the text it has all the correct text properties attached. So what do I need to do to have this buffer completely initialized so that the correct syntax highlighting will be copied in?

Whenever I run my server, though, I keep getting: ERROR Server Exception: sessionId should not be null; has this session been started yet?
