Project change makes qtp to fail

We are using 2 or more projects in an application to be opened. For e.g. HT1000 & HT1200 will be opened by the application, objects are the same(or common) for both the projects. Code uses the values in excel framework for running the test cases as parent to identify the child objects for e.g. Window("HT1000").Dialog("parts").Click("OK") but when we just change the parent name in excel framework as "HT1200" the objects for HT1200 are not getting accessed. How to resolve this? Is it needed to again add the HT1200 project & objects in the object repo of qtp?

scrollTo scrolls to the top of the page

Hi, I have the following Javscript code. When the page is loaded it is scrolled to the right position. When I click on the link to run the function the page scrolls to the top of the page. Hey there, new to AJAX, JS.. Im trying to add to a Javascript/Ajax search script that I've put together. How do I add search date to the dataString so that I can use that var in my searchdata.php? In searchdata, I can do this $search_word=$_GET['search_word']; and use that var, but so far every time i attempt to alter the dataString, it breaks all the other functionality. Thanks!

datagridview winform tag only brings back the first row value

I'm using visual studio 2008. I have a datagridview in a winform. I've bound to it using an object Private Sub LoadAllCampers() Dim Os As List(Of LE.Camper) = Nothing Dim Oc As New LE.Camper_Controller Os = Oc.GetCamperData(0) With Me.dgResults .DataSource = Os End With CamperBindingSource.DataSource = Os End Sub I have a tag setup on the ID property within the Camper class. when i double click on a row in teh datagridview, i do a me.dgResults.tag and it always shows the first rows ID value. If i change the ordering within the class, it will display a different value, but it's always the first value in the datagridview. I'm missing something simple to get this working.. just don't know what it is. Hopefully someone can spare a minute.

IPhone Dev: Activate the view of a tabBar button

Hi, I have an application that has a tabBar that handles all the views. In the first view I have a login process. When that process finishes I want to go automatically to the second tabBar view without making the user to click in its respective tabBar button. All I've got until now is to highlight the button with this: myTabBar.selectedItem = [myTabBar.items objectAtIndex:1]; But I have no idea about how to bring the second view related to that button to the front, automatically. Until now the user has to press the button when it gets lighted (selected). Any idea about how to do this? Is it possible? It would be much appreciated. Thanks.

How to Identify a ListViewItem to Update a Single Row

I have a ListView displays information about an object. When I click a ListView Item, I open an Activity that let's me manipulate parameters of the object held in the adapter. These parameters are updated and stored remotely. When I return to the ListView (via the back button), I want to update the ListView Item that I clicked originally by requesting the parameter values from the remote server. I am currently doing this up updating the entire ListView by clearing it and rebuilding it. How do I reference the ListView Item so that I can update the data for that item only? Thanks, Jason

Emacs on Windows: how to protect built-in el files from being accidentally edited

On Linux, they are all read only, so no problem. But on MS Windows, what happens is like this: I get curious about the definition of the command isearch-forward, I type C-h f isearch-forward and click on the link isearch.el from the help to get to the definition of the function, and while I am reading its definition, I press C-h or C-c many times, but I set Caps Lock as another Ctrl key, so sometimes it happens that I release Caps Lock too early, in which case C-h or C-c becomes inserting h or c, sometimes I notice that and undo it, but sometimes I don't notice it, and I even save them all with C-x s. What is a good way to protect the built-in el files from me on MS Windows?

UITextView on iPad INCREDIBLY Slow

I have an NSMutableArray of custom views (that are pretty much 1 UITextView and 1 UILabel with a custom back ground image), these are created as they are need (I start with 2 (though the first one is only 2 UITextFields and the other is normal) of these). Now my issue here seems to be this: as soon as I try to edit any UITextView past the one in the 2nd view, it starts to run incredibly slow, not the app, just the textview. For example, as I type, the little blinky guy lags behind the text and when I click to copy/paste/cut/etc you can see the little balloon fly in from the upper left corner every time. I have run the static analyzer for leaks and come up with nothing and run it alongside some other the testing software in XCode and it does not appear to have any reason for this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

"Disabling" an HTML table with javascript

I've seen this done in a lot of sites recently, but can't seem to track one down. Essentially I want to "disable" an entire panel (that's in the form on an HTML table) when a button is clicked. By disable I mean I don't want the form elements within the table to be usable and I want the table to sort of fade out. I've been able to accomplish this by putting a "veil" over the table with an absolutely positioned div that has a white background with a low opacity (so you can see the table behind it, but can't click anything because the div is in front of it). This also adds the faded effect that I want. However, when I set the height of the veil to 100% it only goes to the size of my screen (not including the scrolling), so if a user scrolls up or down, they see the edge of the veil and that's not pretty. I'm assuming this is typically done in a different fashion. Does anyone have some suggestions as a better way to accomplish this?

Dynamic web user control problem when browser's back button is clicked.

Hi all, I have an .aspx page in which I dynamically add web controls to a panel. The problem is when I hit the browser's back buton, it's displayed a version of the page that no longer exists on the server-side, because the controls are dynamically added. Let's say my aspx dynamically adds Control1. From there, I click a button that loads Control2. At this moment, if I press the browser's back button, it will display the page with Control1, but Control1 no longer exists on the server-side, so if I interact with it, some erractic behaviour will occur. Any ideas on this? Thank you very much.

Hi, after multiple Selection in a advanced datagrid, I want to check if the clicked row, was already selected. Anyway my idea below (in the nested if clause I want to check if the newly clicked item's processing data is already in the added Array Collection) is not working, but I assume there must be a better way to differiante if an click was made on a already selected row. MS Word: Mailmerge hyperlinks with query get url string with a mergefield.

Hi, I'm trying to send an email merging one document (docx) with a contacts database (via OleDB). Using MSWord2007, it seems easy (it works for easy things: name, address, ...) but I can't find how fill an query-get url string with a merge field inside an hyperlink. An hyperlink like: Click here where here is an hyperlink to http://domain.com/[email protected] where [email protected] is the address of the contact, a merge field. I've tried the special/merge fields: {HYPERLINK "http://domain.com/test.php?contact={MERGEFIELD contactEmail}" \o "Here"} but it doesn't work, sometimes it merge only the first record and then send all the mails with the same address, I got this alternating the view with ALT+F9. This support doc doesn't work for me because I don't have the complete URL in my database for each contact, and I can't change the design of the table or add a view (it's from the CRM), I don't like to do it exporting the table and adding the field. Why doesnt R.raw.'songname' not work on android devices?

I have some media (Audio tracks) on an app... With file path 'R.raw.test' I use some code to get it into a mediaplayer... MediaPlayer.create(Textbox.this, R.raw.fly); And it works PERFECTLY on the Android Emulator... (Plays track on click of button) Can someone explain why, when I put it on my Archos (5 IT) it doesnt work at all? -As soon as the button is clicked, it crashes... Do you have to do something to file paths or what? Please help... Thanks alot... James

I have been making a threaded comment system as a way to learn php and javascript/jquery properly. Ive done bits and bobs in the past but ive made a new years resolution to learn it properly. Im having trouble inserting a reply form into the comment tree below the comment being replied to. I know this is probably pretty basic but how do you insert html into a page when someone clicks a link. Showing the ProgressDialog while opening the Website

I have to open a website say Facebook page, twitter page and You Tube page in order to share my post there. Now when I click to the item Facebook , it gets redirected to FB to share and same for Twitter and YouTube. I have to show them in my WebView and all this is done perfectly. What I want is to show the Progress Dialog after clicking on the Item till it gets redirected to the FB , Twitter or YouTube. I don know how to show the Progress Bar for redirecting to the Main Website. Can anyone Please help me put Here. Thanks, David Brown

Accorian menu is not working properly

Hi, I am using accordin menu in my site, placed in Master Page, It has 4 pane, each pane have multiple links. it was working fine previously. But suddenly it is displaying this error message There is no source code available for the current location. It's is asking for show assembly. When I clicked on that I got a stopage at the stack 0000001a mov eax,dword ptr [ebp-0Ch] -- I am really not sure what does it means. Also, there are several links in accordin menu, after clicking on anyone of the link I am not able to click the other link, might be because of the above reason. Please help

And another issue is the checkboxes. If i dont pick anything, it inserts "Y", even if i pick the other "N" it does "Y", and i dont want it to be possible that you can check both of them. how do i do?

For example: o.val = "1"; pg.SelectedObject = o; o.val = "2"; pg.Refresh(); The property in property grid still "1"; It is changing only if click on this property.. or like that: o.val = "1"; pg.SelectedObject = o; o.val = "2"; pg.SelectedObject = o; but in this case focus will be changed to propertygrid.

Customising event delegates in the jQuery validation plug-in

I am currently setting up the jQuery validation plug-in for use in our project. By default, there are some events automatically set up for handling. I.e. focus in/out, key up events on all inputs fire validation. I want it to only fire when the submit button is clicked. This functionality seems to be in-built into the plug-in, which is making it difficult to do this (without modifying the plug-in code, Not What I Want To Do). I have found the eventDelegate function calls in the plugin code prototype method: $(this.currentForm) .validateDelegate(":text, :password, :file, select, textarea", "focusin focusout keyup", delegate) .validateDelegate(":radio, :checkbox, select, option", "click", delegate); When I remove these lines from the plug-in I get my result, however I would much rather do something Outside the plug-in to achieve this. Can anybody please help me? If you need any more details, please let me know. I have searched google with little success. Thanks

Silverlight navigation control not showing link

hi, I am playing around with the silverlights navigation frame. Starting from the navigation project, I have basically copied the main page frame and launched it from a new hyperlink button. So I have a type of nested navigation (i.e. my new button "Employees", launches a new page which has a frame (named differently from parent) which has a number of hyperlinks). This seems to work fine however the URL for the sub frame hyperlinks do not not change. When I click on any of the nested links, it shows the parent link for Employee. Any ideas what needs to be changed? JD.

Ruby on Rails form_remote_tag missing template

I'm using form_remote_tag(:url => {:controller => "home", :action => "search"}, :update => "mydiv"). When I click submit on the form "mydiv" is populated with the error "Template is missing. Missing template home/search.erb in view path app/views". I've tried multiple render options in def search, but they all result in the same error. It looks like the search method is trying to use it's default render even though I'm specifying what I want. I've tried: render 'index' render :text => 'Return this from my method!' Is my url incorrect? Is it not submitting back to my home controller's search method?
