• Problem with Chrome - embed windows media player

  Hi. I am having a problem. I embed WMP in my page, and I need to hide buttons from player. I make it to hide them in IE and FF, but I can't make it happen in Google Chrome. • JQuery Simplemodal and Tabs Help Needed

  Hi, I've got an asp.net page containing a Textbox with an Autocomplete extender on it. It's setup so the user can type a short reference code into the textbox and then choose from the list of matching codes returned by the autocomplete. On the "select", I then call the server using JQuery. I'm currently using $.get here.... The callback function from $.get checks for "success" and then displays a simple-modal dialog containing info about the item they've just selected. if (sStatus == "success") { $.modal(sText, { overlayClose: true, appendTo:'form', onShow: function(dialog) { $("#ccTargets_tabContainer").tabs(); }, onClose: function(dialog) { $("#<%=TextBox1.ClientID%>").val(""); $.modal.close(); } }); $.ready(); } One of the bits of info being loaded here is a JQuery TABS setup, so the onShow function of the simplemodal is used to initiate the tabs which are within the simplemodal. Now to the crux of my problem. If I do multiple consecutive "autocompletes" on the same page it all works fine Unless I have selected a different tab on the tabs in the simplemodal ....If I select a different tab, close the simplemodal and then do another autocomplete I get a JQuery error which seems to relate to a selector doing something with the "old" selected tab that was on the "closed" modal. I'm clearly missing some sort of cleardown / initialisation somewhere, but can't find what it is. Help? I've tried "tabs.destroy" before the modal call in the code above and I've tried a $.ready() call as indicated too.... UPDATE: Is it something to do with JQuery Tabs appending my addressbar URL with the selected tab's ID?

• Sending a byte array from PHP to WCF problem

  Hi I have this problem: I have to send a byte array (encoded photo) from my PHP client to the WCF host. when I do a var_dump() on my array in PHP I get an array[2839] which is ok but on the server side when i debug I see that received array is only byte[5]...any idea how I can fix it? • Select All CheckBoxes in GridView ASP.NET using JQuery

  I have checkBoxes in my Gridview templete columns called "Category A" and "Category B". I want Select-All functionality, i.e. when the user checks the Select-All check Box in category A column, all the checkboxes must get checked under that column. Same for Category B. I am trying with the code below. The problem with my code is, it selects all the check boxes in the entire gridview, "Category A" as well as "Category B"s checkboxes. • Retrieve parent node from selection (range) in Gecko and Webkit

  I am trying to add an attribute when using a wysiwyg editor that uses "createLink" command. I thought it would be trivial to get back the node that is created after the browse executes that command. Turns out, I am only able to grab this newly created node in IE. Any ideas?   I have a Windows Forms app that itself launches different threads to do different kinds of work. Occasionally, ALL threads (including the UI thread) become frozen, and my app becomes unresponsive. I've decided it may be a Garbage Collector-related issue, as the GC will freeze all managed threads temporarily. • Invalid security validation exception inside a SharePoint workflow

  I'm having a strange security problem with a SharePoint workflow. Particular calls seem to result in the following exception: Microsoft.SharePoint.SPException: The security validation for this page is invalid. I've come across this error before and the simple fix is web.AllowUnsafeUpdates = true; ... web.AllowUnsafeUpdates = false; However I've never once encountered this problem inside a workflow before since a workflow runs as system. I first got this error in a code activity where I set the value of a column on the list item. Wrapping the item.Update in AllowUnsafeUpdates fixed it. After the code activity I have a CreateTask activity. This also causes the same error but only after running the code inside the activity's MethodInvoking. In both cases there's a SPListItem.UpdateItem involved within the stack trace. This call is failing a security check. I don't know anything about how this check works so I don't know where to look next. This is a strange one, because this SharePoint dev machine has been working fine for some time. No other projects or workflows exhibit this behaviour so that rules out an installation problem. There's just something about this particular workflow. [UPDATE] I've gotten around the issue by just creating a new project and building it up again. I still have the broken one and I'd still like to figure out the problem with it. I'd appreciate any suggestions of what it might be.

  I am trying to get Undo/Redo keyboard shortcuts working in my WPF application (I have my own custom functionality implemented using the Command Pattern). It seems, however, that the TextBox control is intercepting my "Undo" RoutedUICommand. What is the simplest way to disable this so that I can catch Ctrl+Z at the root of my UI tree?   I need to set the ConnectionString for my DataContext's based on an AppSetting. I am trying to do this by creating a Partial Class for each DataContext. The below is what I have so far and I am wondering if I am overlooking something? Specifically, am I dealing with my DataContext's correctly(disposing, staleness, etc)? Doing it this way will I have issues with Updates and Inserts? Is the file BLLAspnetdb.cs useful or neccessary in the least or should all of that be in the generated partial class AspnetdbDataContext file? • java TrayIcon using image with transparent background

  I am using the following code to set a tray icon in Windows and Linux. It works wonderful in Windows and works okay in Linux. • Why does my Sax Parser produce no results after using InputStream Read?

  Hello, I have this piece of code which I'm hoping will be able to tell me how much data I have downloaded (and soon put it in a progress bar), and then parse the results through my Sax Parser. If I comment out basically everything above the //xr.parse(new InputSource(request.getInputStream())); line and swap the xr.parse's over, it works fine. But at the moment, my Sax parser tells me I have nothing. Is it something to do with is.read (buffer) section? • Maven Eclipse plugin and classpath issues in Eclipse

  I am using Eclipse 3.51, Maven 2.0.9, Java 1.4, with the Maven Eclipse plugin 2.7 with WTP 2.0 (not m2Eclipse). I have a flat multi module project that is set up as follows (module Parent with the parent pom, module A and B is dependent on C). Importing the four modules in for the first time will show compile errors as expected since I have not ran the eclipse plugin. With my local repository empty, running eclipse clean will resolve all compile errors and dependencies within the my local workspace. If I were to make some minor code changes to module B and run the eclipse plugin again, compile errors would show up in module A and B. Compile errors about classes that cannot be found. Its like module C is no longer in the classpath for A and B to see. I look at the .classpath file and its definitely looking at the right modules in the Eclipse workspace. If I delete the maven repository and do the eclipse clean again, the compile errors about unresolved classes are fixed. Also, if I run the eclpse clean command with the useProjectReferences flag to false and then rerun it with true, Eclipse would rebuild my workspace and the errors will go away. Whats going on?

• Rotate a feature Image in Open Layers - ReApply StyleMap to layer.

  I have an open layers map. It adds and removes my "imageFeature" every 10secs or so. I have a JSON feed that gives me the rotation that I need, I have a request to get that rotation and set it as a variable of rotationv. Everything works but the fact when the image is recreated it does not update the rotation. My code is as follows: JSON request: var rotationv = (function () { rotationv = null; $.ajax({ 'async': false, 'global': true, 'url': urldefault, 'dataType': "json", 'success': function (data) { rotationv = data.rotation; } }); return rotationv })(); Creating image feature: imageFeature = new OpenLayers.Feature.Vector( new OpenLayers.Geometry.Point(mylon, mylat), { rotation: rotationv } ); The image is set in the styling elsewhere. Why does this not rotate my image? Debugging with firebug I now notice that "rotationv" is updating as per it should be. But when the point is destroyed then added again it does not apply the new rotation... Add: I realised that the "image" is applied as per the layer. So I need to figure out how to re apply the stylemap to the layer so it will trigger the "update" on the page. //redefine layer 2 so it can be updated - test.js is just a 0.0 ref// var layer2 = new OpenLayers.Layer.GML("Layer 2", "test.js", { format: OpenLayers.Format.GeoJSON, styleMap: styleMap }); But even if I add the above into my function still no luck. Included map.addLayers([layer2]); into the function as well. • WPF ComboBox TemplateBinding to selected value

  I'm trying to create an editable textbox via a drop down of selected values. Basically in Red Only mode I want the drop down to be a disabled textbox. It works fine when I do this with SelectedValue but when I need it to display the dropdown text and not the value. • Can't submit new object to WCF DataService because of Primary Key constraint

  I've got a SQL database that uses Guid's for PK's and upon insert, it generates a NewId(). I have an EF data context setup pointing to that database with the primary keys setup with the Entity key:true, Setter:private and StoreGeneratedPattern:Identity because I want the DB to manage the keys and not have code set the PK property. I have an OData (System.Web.Data.Services.DataService) endpoint to access this data (just like: Hanselman did. I have another app that has a service reference to this service. Upon trying to create a new object from this reference (i.e. Product), the ProductId Primary Key is being defaulted to Guid.Empty when doing var serviceEntities = new ServiceEntities(serviceUri); //OData endpoint var product = new Product(); product.Name = "New Product"; serviceEntities.AddToProducts(product); serviceEntities.SaveChanges(); // error happens here When debugging, I look at the Product.ProductId property and it's set to Guid.Empty. When called SaveChanges, I do not want the ProductId field to be sent to the service. The response I get is: Error processing request stream. Property 'ProductId' is a read-only property and cannot be updated. Please make sure that this property is not present in the request payload. Is there a way to do this or what can I do to get this setup correctly and still have the DB generated the keys. Here is the same setup as the Product example above.

  Is there any possibility to display selected item of the ComboBox (after popup closing) in a way that is different from its displaying in DropDown List (There are players number and name in the dropdown list, but after list closing I want to see only its number). How can I change a background for the player with some Flag? As far as I know, all of that can be done with triggers, but are they supported in Silverlight 4, VS2010, Silverlight Toolkit 4?
