    What is the best way to determine what causes a server timeout on a Plesk passworded directory in IIS6? Even if the default page is static text I can get a timeout. This has worked fine for two years and has only seemed to change after adding a new permitted user. Occasionally there is success but usually loading is very slow. Where would I look for a problem, as it doesn't seem to be page content causing the issue?

    Hello Folks, I have a LDAP master server installed on CentOS-5.4 and I have installed LDAP on one more machine and I want it be configured as LDAP slave server but when I am importing the LDIF file or trying to create any new object in slave LDAP getting the below errors: LDIF text import Could not add object dc=transcomus,dc=com LDAP said: Server is unwilling to perform Error number: 0x35 (LDAP_UNWILLING_TO_PERFORM) Description: The LDAP server refused to perform the operation.   • I've set an editor as default, how do I call it to open files in a shell?

    EDIT I thought of a better way to phrase the question. How can I find the alias that Ubuntu is using for a different text editor? Rather than using nano by typing nano file.txt, i'd like to be able to type sublime file.txt to open sublime editor. I don't know where to look to find these aliases. sudo update-alternatives --config editor does not show it as a choice, I only see the 'default' editors, like Nano and vim.tiny.

  • Firefox and TinyMCE 3.4.9 won't play nice together

    I've submitted a bug to the tinyMCE people, but i'm hoping someone else has come across this and has a suitable workaround. Here's the situation: I've got a form with a tinyMCE control that i load into a jquery dialog. it works great the first time, then after they close it, and open a new one. any interaction with the tinyMCE control gives: "Node cannot be used in a document other than the one in which it was created" it also doesn't fill the control with the text it's supposed to be prepopulated with.     I recently switched from gnome terminal to urxvt (and installed tabbed extensions). I am also a heavy emacs user which uses a lot of key combinations similar to urxvt (tab related stuff) like Shift-Left and Shift-Right. These key-combinations are set for selecting text in emacs. Is there a way to map ALT-1, ALT-2, ALT-3 for tabs 1, 2, 3 ..? Is there an extension to do that ? Can it be achieved through the ~/.Xdefaults file ?

    I pressed Ctrl + Alt + t while having Chrome open to open a terminal in my Chromebook. How do I paste content into this terminal copied from another tab in Chrome? I have tried Ctrl + v to no avail. I have also tried highlighting text and pasting it via the middle button on my mouse, which failed too. I have also read this article (http://www.servercobra.com/nothing-but-chromebook-for-a-week/) and tried triple clicking my touch pad, but it isn't working for me.

  • Why do Chinese filenames displays as boxes in Windows 7?

    I'm running Windows 7 Professional (UK), and trying to get filenames containing Chinese characters to display correctly in Explorer. I can create Chinese filenames in explorer by pasting text from a webpage or using the Chinese IME to rename files, but the characters just display as boxes (Unicode 'missing character' glyph). The Chinese fonts are installed on the system, and web pages display OK in the browser. In particular, I can see the correct Chinese filenames by pointing chrome at file://C:\, for example.

This is what I am doing but it's not working for some reason: Open IIS 7 Create a new virtual directory in Default Web Site and point it to a folder on d:\ drive Browse to folder on d:\ drive and create an .htm file with some test text in it Open a browser and navigate to http://localhost/TestSite/index.htm But I get a 404 - what gives? Edit:I didn't mention at first that this is Server 2008 R2

    I can't change Firefox's menu background color using userChrome.css on Windows 7. menubar, menubutton, menulist, menu, menuitem { color: red !important; background-color: orange !important; } This seems to work as the menubar changes to red and orange. But the background-color on the actual drop down menu stays the same (that Windows 7 menu look), although the text color does change to red. Any ideas??

    I'm interning for an NGO in India and trying to fix their website, including updating their menu so it's not the last item on the page to load, and it's centered on the screen. Everything works well enough but when I try out my new menu in IE6, I get this weird error where the content below the menu is padded an extra 30px or so and the material in the right-most drop down appears on the far left of the screen, always visible. When I drop down the rightmost link ("Publications") the content appears both in the correct location and in the same spot on the far left of the screen, and changes color when I hover as well. I really appreciate your help. Also I'm using a 1000px wide monitor, if there's more hijinks going on outside that space I'd like to know about that too.   • Baseline upload speed for streaming video on demand?

    Is there a table that shows what is necessary for streaming video on demand? Specifically what I'm trying to do is stream Video on Demand to 50-100 people. I'm flexible with the format, but I'd like text on the screen to be legible (i.e. not 320x240). If someone knows of a calculator or something that would let me figure out exactly how I need to structure my video and ISP that'd be handy too.
