• How best to pre-install OR pre-load OR cache JavaScript library to optimize performance?

  Hello. I am working for an intranet application. Therefore I have some control on the client machines. The JavaScript library I am using is somewhat big in size. I would like to pre-install OR pre-load OR cache the JavaScript library on each machine (each browser as well) so that it does not travel for each request. I know that browsers do cache a JavaScript library for subsequent requests but I would like the library to be cached once for all subsequent requests, sessions and users. What is the best mechanism to achieve this?

  Hello fellow coders, I have a question about setting the style attributes for a data cell in the jQuery.DataTable. I was able to set the width for each column when initializing the dataTable using the following: oTable = $('#example').dataTable( { "aoColumns" : [ { sWidth: '40%' }, { sWidth: '60%' } ] } ); However, now I want to change the alignment for the second column like so: style="text-align: right;". I am adding rows dynamically: /* Global var for counter */ var giCount = 2; function fnClickAddRow() { oTable.fnAddData( [ 'col_1', 'col_2' ] ); giCount++; } Can you tell me how I can select the second cell of the added row after it's inserted? OR can you tell me how to set the style of the row before/during insertion? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

• Setting a value into a object using reflection

  Hello I have an object that has a lot of attributes, each one with it's getter and setter. Each attribute has a non primitive type, that I don't know at runtime. For example, what I have is this: public class a{ private typeA attr1; private typeB attr2; public typeA getAttr1(){ return attr1; } public typeB getAttr2(){ return attr2; } public void setAttr1(typeA at){ attr1 = at; } public void setAttr2(typeB at){ attr2 = at; } } public class typeA{ public typeA(){ // doesn't matter } } public class typeB{ public typeB(){ // doesn't matter } } So, using reflection, I obtained the setter method for an attribute. Setting a value in the standard way is something like this: a test = new a(); a.setAttr1(new typeA()); But how can I do this using reflection? I already got the setAttr1() method using reflection, but I don't know how to create a new typeA object to be inserted in the setter.

  Hello, I am having the same problem as described below. http://marc.info/?l=php-general&m=124104032703506 The guy answered his own question by: "Sorry, didn't pay attention to the registered streams :-( You need to install a PHP package with ssl or compile it with --with-openssl." What does that mean? I'm fairly new to all this stuff and I don't quite understand what he was talking about, (e.g. registered streams, ssl). We have another server that has SSL. Does he mean that if I just transfer to that server, problem solved? Or is there anything else I need to consider? Can you please help me out? Any help is much appreciated :)

  Hello, I have a sub class that calls a method from a super class. and the method in the super class use a method that is defined in the super class as asbstract(not really abstract) but implemented in the sub class. for example: package BaseClass; sub new { } sub method1 { return someAbstractMethod(); } sub someAbtsractMethod { die "oops, this is an abstract method that should be implemented in a subclass" ; } 1; package SubClass; sub new { } sub someAbtsractMethod { print "now we implement the asbtract method"; } 1; now when I do: $sub = new SubClass(); $sub-method1(); It calls the abstract message and i get the specified error message. if I took off the abstractmethod from the super class and just leave the implementation in the subclass, It does not recognize the method and I get subroutine abstractmethod not found error.

• Drag drop open file in Macvim split window?

  Hello. I like to use the split window feature in Vim. However I cannot seem to drag drop new files into the different sections. Doing so will just open a new tab. I don't like using tabs as I still need to flick between them and not much different to using separate windows. Is there anyway I can change this behaviour? It works fine on Windows gVim and Im using the same vimrc file.

• NetBeans ("6.8" and "later") - UML support?

  Hello, I wanted to download the "UML plugin" to NetBeans through the "Tools/Plugins" but I didn't find the plugin there. Then I read in many articles that the "NetBeans UML plugin is not supported anymore" :-( . Then I discovered that there exists some "NetBeans SDE" tool that supports the UML in NetBeans and there exists the "Comunity Edition" of that tool which is free, but only for "non-commercial" uses - so it's not open-source - and so I don't want to use it. So I would like to ask, if Sun (or whoever else who officially maintains (or maintained in the past) the NetBeans UML plugin) is not going to support the UML plugin to NetBeans anymore and if so, is there any "open-source" UML plugin which is supported in version "6.8" and "later" and if so - which? Thank you.

• Creating an image from webcam every x miliseconds

  Hello everyone, I am using c# to integrate with a web cam. I need to generate a snapshot image every x miliseconds and save it to file. I already have the code up and running to save to file on a button click event, however I wonder what am I supposed to do when taking snapshots in the background - Should this be multi threaded? I'm honestly not sure. I could just block the UI thread, put Thread.Sleep and then just take the snapshot, but I don't know if this is right. I thought of using a background worker, but I am now experiencing cross threaded difficulties with SendMessage... So I wonder if I should even go and bother to multi-thread or just block the UI. Help greatly appertained, thanks in advance.

  I am giving the following method call to my webview client embedded in my layout wv.loadData("<html><body bgcolor=\"Black\"></body></html>","text/html", "utf-8"); when i run this on the device, it shows a white vertical bar on the right side.   Hello I need to navigate between labels with arrow keys like a power point presentation. I have an array with labels and a KeyboardEvent. My problem is, if I am in label number four for example and click in arrow click, always goes to first label. So I need help defining my current label to go to the next on key press.   Hello everyone, I have a table Student with 2 fields: Name: nvarchar(256) Age: int User will use a WinForm application to input a Name and a Age for searching. If inputted Name is empty, sql will not query Name field. If inputted Age is 0, sql will not query Age field. If Name is Null and inputted Name is empty - record is matched. If Name is Null and inputted Name is not empty - record is not matched. And also similar for Age field. My problem is that how to write a sql like this. P/S: I use SQL Server 2005. Please help me.   Hello everybody, as database transcations in our app are getting more and more time consuming, we have started to use memcached to reduce the amount of queries passed to MySQL. All in all, it works fine and really saves a lot of time. But as caching was "silently appearing" as a workaround to give the app more juice, a lot of our models now contain code like this: def self.all_cached Rails.cache.fetch('object_name') { find( :all, :include => [associations]) } end This is getting more and more a pain as filling and flushing the cache happens in several classes accross the application. Now, I was wondering if there was a better way to abstract memcached logic to make it more powerful and easy to use across all needed models? I was thinking about having some kind of memcached-module which is included in all needed modules. But before playing around, I thought: Let's ask experts first :-) Thanks Matt

Is there a way to have multiple of the same keys with different values? Or is there another form of array that has the same format? And it compiles C code well. but I found a weird thing for NOT operations. if i make code like int a; func(!a); and i studied MIPS instructions with text book that says "MIPS converts NOT operation to 'nor with zero'" So i thought it would converted like nor a a $zero but my compiler converts xori a a 0x0 sltu a 1 /////////////////////////////////////// i compiled the code with 'myaccount mipsel-unknown-linux-gnu-gcc -S myfilename.c' and it makes myfilename.s file.. what am i missing??

  Hello, I am trying to understand, how can Voldermort be used? Say, I have this scenario: Since, Voldemort is a key-value pair. I need to fetch a value (say some text) on the basis of 3 parameters. So, what will be the key in this case? I cannot use 3 keys for 1 value right, but that value should be search able on the basis of those 3 parameters. Am I making sense? In the head tag i have <script type="text/javascript" src="JScript/FontSize.js"></script> The external javascript file, (that i would like to call) FontSize.js contains the following functions. function checkCookie() function setCookie(c_name, value, expiredays) function getCookie(c_name) function increaseFontSize() function decreaseFontSize() The FontSize.js is located at the ~/Jscript/ directory I guess the body on load should contain something like <body onload="/JScript/Fontsize.js/checkCookie()"> Of course nothing works as it should because, i do not know how to make the call to a function to an external js file

  Hello everyone: I am trying to implement OpenID as one preferred option to my next web app here The code is taken from this tutorial and works if I use my openID from myopenid.com However, I believe most people would just love to use their everyday email address as their openID, as far as I know, Google, Yahoo, and some other big players have already done this in their systems. My question is: how could I find the correct "url" to enter in the form to login? I used my Google OpenID account for StackOverflow and it works just fine. I try to copy my openID like this: www.google.com/accounts/o8/id?id=aitoawllano10bzdzp3ht0diffry0qt6_j2ls-m And paste it directly into my form, but it doesn't work.   Hello, I am a newbi programmer and am having trouble with a measurement conversion program I am working on. What I would like to do is have several EditText boxes. When one is filled in and a calculate button is hit then the rest will be populated with a converted number. The part I am getting stuck on is outputting the answers to EditText widgets. ex: There are three EditText Widgets. a user inputs the number 6 into the first one (labeled inches) and presses calculate. I would like the next box to display .5 (labeled feet) and the last to display .1666 (this would be yards) .setText() apparently does not work to modify the text in an EditText any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Hello, I am trying to write a reward system wherein users will be given reward points if they download complete files, So what should be my log format. After searching alot this is what I understand its my first time and havent done custom logs before. First of all which file should I edit for custom logs because this thing I cant find.   Hi there, I'm trying to build a GHashTable of instances of a struct containing ints, a time_t and a few char*'s. My question is, how do you insert an instance of a struct into a GHashTable? there are plenty of examples of how to insert a string or an int (using g_str_hash and g_int_hash respectively), but I'm guessing thatI want to use the g_direct_hash, and I can't seem to find any examples of that. Ideally, my code would look like this: GHashtable table; table = g_hash_table_new(g_direct_hash, g_direct_equal); struct mystruct; mystruct.a = 1; mystruct.b = "hello"; mystruct.c = 5; mystruct.d = "test"; g_hash_table_insert(table,mystruct.a,mystruct); Clearly, this is incorrect as it does not compile.   Hello, I have a test table. The test table is as follows: CREATE TABLE mytest ( num1 int(10) unsigned NOT NULL, KEY key1 (num1) ) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1; I inserted 50 million rows in this table. When I do show table status the avg_row_length is 7. I was expecting to see 4 since mySQL uses 4 bytes for integers. Does the key have an effect on the avg_row_length?
