• How could I get informations about the SIM card on Windows CE

  Hello, I am using a device running on WindowsCE 5.00. I cannot connect the GPRS, there is an error message telling that the port cannot be opened and may be in use by another application. I am not sure but I think the port it is talking about is a comp port to the SIM card that cannot be opened because the SIM doesn't work anymore. To tell the truth, it is likely that one of my coworker did lock the SIM and kept his mouth shut ... How could I get any information about the SIM on Windows CE ? I am new at this and Windows CE is not really user friendly ... I have been strongly searching this on internet but didn't find anything. Any kind of information will be welcomed. Thanks,

  Hello, I am a newbi programmer and am having trouble with a measurement conversion program I am working on. What I would like to do is have several EditText boxes. When one is filled in and a calculate button is hit then the rest will be populated with a converted number. The part I am getting stuck on is outputting the answers to EditText widgets. ex: There are three EditText Widgets. a user inputs the number 6 into the first one (labeled inches) and presses calculate. I would like the next box to display .5 (labeled feet) and the last to display .1666 (this would be yards) .setText() apparently does not work to modify the text in an EditText any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Hello, I'm learning JQuery and am about to write some pages using intensively that library. I just learned that some user disable javascript on their browser (I didn't even know that was possible and/or necessary). Now, here's my question: What happens to my web application if a user disable Javascript? For instance, I'd like to display some screens using Ajax and commands such as 'InsertBefore' to bring in live a DIV that will display the result. So, if Javascript is disabled, I wonder what going to happen to all this work that relies on Javascript? I'm kind of lost. Thanks for helping

• Changing the config file in a Visual Studio Package

  Hello everybody. I'm building a Visual Studio Package and associated with it, I have an app.config file (which contains some information about connecting to a WCF service). As far as I can tell, this package is actually connecting to the devnev.exe.config configuration file (if I use AppDomain.CurrentDomain.SetupInformation.ConfigurationFile), it will retrieve the path to the devnev.exe.config Firstly, is this correct? Shouldn't the package automatically pick up the app.config file? If this is the case, then how can I make the project use the app.config file? I'm running VS2010 Ultimate, programming in C#. Thanks!

  Hello, I am trying to write a reward system wherein users will be given reward points if they download complete files, So what should be my log format. After searching alot this is what I understand its my first time and havent done custom logs before. First of all which file should I edit for custom logs because this thing I cant find. I am using ubuntu server with default apache, php5 and mysql installation # I use this commands and they work fine nano /etc/apache2/apache2.conf /etc/init.d/apache2 restart I think this is what I need to do for my purpose LogLevel notice LogFormat "%f %u %x %o" rewards CustomLog /var/www/logs/rewards_log rewards This is as it is command or there is something missing? and is there any particular location where I need to add this? and one more thing %o is for filesize that was sent and is it possible to log only files from a particular directory? or for files with size more than 10mb.   Hello, I need to do some processing only after the user has successfully logged in the system. I have thought that I can do a RESTful method and setting it as the default-target-url so when the login is successful it goes to this url and then I can redirect to the real index of my web application. <form-login login-page='/login.htm' default-target-url='/home.htm' always-use-default-target='true' /> The problem is that this processing can be executed by calling its URL so it could be executed by any user at any time. I want to make sure it is only executed after login. Is there any way to do this? Thank you very much.

  Hello all, I have a control which I wrote for capturing signatures on a web page, by using onmousedown, onmousemove and onmouseup on a div to track the mouse, and capture points comprising a signature. Now we need this to work on Windows Mobile 6.5 powered devices... but it seems that the div element does not support the mouse events in Pocket IE, which would seem to be supported by this blog. But according to MSDN, the WinCE (which WinMo/PPC is based off of) version of IE does support these mouse events for some unknown list of elements. So can anyone tell me, are there any elements: img, a, span or whatever that support onmouse[down|move|up] in WinMo 6.5 Pocket IE? Thanks! If not, anyone have any other ideas for capturing a signature on a web page in Pocket IE?

  Hello guys! So, here is what I want to do. I have a model Staff, that has a foreign key to the User model. I also have a model Match that has a foreign key to the User model. I want to select how much Matches every Staff has. I don't know how to do that, so far I only got it working for the User model. From Staff, it will not allow to annonate Match. This is what is working right now User.objects.annotate(ammount=Count("match")).filter(Q(ammount__gt=0)).order_by("ammount") And this is what I wanted to do Staff.objects.annotate(ammount=Count("match")).filter(Q(ammount__gt=0)).order_by("ammount") And by the way, is there any way to filter the matches? • Best way to Fingerprint and Verify html structure.

  Hello there, I just want to know what is your opinion about how to fingerprint/verify html/links structure. The problem I want to solve is: fingerprint for example 10 different sites, html pages. And after some time I want to have possibility to verify them, so is, if site has been changed, links changed, verification fails, othervise verification success. My base Idea is to analyze link structure by splitting it in some way, doing some kind of tree, and from that tree generate some kind of code. But I'm still in brainstorm stage, where I need to discuss this with someone, and know other ideas. So any ideas, algos, and suggestions would be usefull.

• Facebook Connect Post Feed from iPhone App without preview Broken!? URGENT!

  Hello All: I just downloaded the latest FBConnect build, popped in my keys and getting a mysterious hanging error only when I try to post a feed without previewing (setting preview to zero). The activity indicated disappears and the blank dialog window just hangs there. (This mirrors what I was getting on the app I was developing). If I try to post a feed with preview it works; set preview to zero it just hangs. Again; thats with the sample project "Publish Feed" button. Hitting getting permission button and then Publish Feed does same thing...... Other Developers have confirmed seeing this too...Apps that have previously had working feed posts have been broken for weeks. Discussions on facebook connect forum seem to be related to this. • Modelling a manyToMany relationship with attributes

  Hello, I have a ManyToMany relationship between two classes, for instance class Customer and class Item. A customer can buy several items and an item can be bought by different customers. I need to store extra information in this relationship, for example the day when the item was bought. I wonder how is this usually modelled in JPA, cause I'm not sure how to express this in code. Do I have to create a new class to model all the attributes of the relationship and make a manyToMany relationship between the other classes or is a better way to do this? Thanks

  Hello I was wondering what the best practice is for unit testing abstract classes and classes that extend abstract classes. Should I test the abstract class by extending it and stubbing out the abstract methods and then test all the concrete methods? Then only test the methods I override and the abstract methods in the unit tests for objects that extend my abstract class. Should I have an abstract test case that can be used to test the methods of the abstract class and extend this class in my test case for objects that extend the abstract class? EDIT: My abstract class has some concrete methods. I would be interested to see what people are using. Thanks Paul

  Hello, I am looking for a javascript/jquery solution to build a map with selectable tracks. It will consist of area's map (image) with some river routes for boats that have to be selectable - route have to be made clearer on mouse hover and after user clicks on a route a popup window should emerge. Basically I am just looking for a solution for this type of 'map'. Maybe there are some jquery widgets/plugins that would ease the work ? I don't know where to start actually.. I can add the controls, but when trying to use the controls in the added control, they all return null. B.Jonson...D.......A......... Does the binding for example work on the RowHeader with properties of a custom object/entity ? And would sorting destroy the whole relations between the entities ?   Hello, I have a question that is probably very simple, but I cannot find an answer here or on Google. I am loading a SWF in an HTML page the following way (using JavaScript): AC_FL_RunContent( "src", "${swf}", .... "type", "application/x-shockwave-flash", "pluginspage", "http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer" ); I have tried to add the line: "style", "visibility: hidden" But it has not worked. I can later on make it visible or hidden using: document.getElementById("flash").style.visibility = "hidden"; But I would like to have the flash invisible and make it visible later on, but by adding a parameter in the AC_FL_RunContent.   Hello, I am trying to terminate an openvpn task, spawned via NSTask. My question: Should I send ctrl+c (SIGINT) to the input NSPipe for my NSTask? inputPipe = [NSPipe pipe]; taskInput = [inputPipe fileHandleForWriting]; NSString dataString = @"\cC"; [taskInput writeData:[dataString dataUsingEncoding: [NSString defaultCStringEncoding]]]; Alternatively, I was thinking about using kill( pid, SIGINT ); but it would be much more complicated since the process ID has to be determined via a detour ([task processIdentifier] does not help here) - the original NSTask calls: /bin/bash -c sudo -S | mypassword .... That's not nice, I know but it is only called once and the sudo password has been entered in that case already. thanks for any suggestions/opinions/etc. Ron
