    Can anyone provide a regex for notepad++ for the below search and replace (conversion) ADD ( PRIMARY KEY (xxx) ) ; to ADD PRIMARY KEY (xxx) ; basically, removed a () around primary key expression. the value xxx is different among statements. If not notepad++, I may also try the regex for vim or any shell script. thanks a lot. Babu.

  • Need to set cursor position to the end of a contentEditable div, issue with selection and range obje

    I'm forgetting about cross-browser compatibility for the moment, I just want this to work. What I'm doing is trying to modify a script (and you probably don't need to know this) located at typegreek.com The basic script is found here. Basically what it does is when you type in characters, it converts the character your are typing into greek characters and prints it onto the screen. What I'm trying to do is to get it to work on contentEditable div's (It only works for Textareas) My issue is with this one function: The user types a key, it get's converted to a greek key, and goes to a function, it gets sorted through some if's, and where it ends up is where I can add div support. Here is what I have so far, myField is the div, myValue is the greek character. //Get selection object... var userSelection if (window.getSelection) {userSelection = window.getSelection();} else if (document.selection) {userSelection = document.selection.createRange();} //Now get the cursor position information... var startPos = userSelection.anchorOffset; var endPos = userSelection.focusOffset; var cursorPos = endPos; //Needed later when reinserting the cursor... var rangeObj = userSelection.getRangeAt(0) var container = rangeObj.startContainer //Now take the content from pos 0 -> cursor, add in myValue, then insert everything after myValue to the end of the line. myField.textContent = myField.textContent.substring(0, startPos) + myValue + myField.textContent.substring(endPos, myField.textContent.length); //Now the issue is, this updates the string, and returns the cursor to the beginning of the div. //so that at the next keypress, the character is inserted into the beginning of the div. //So we need to reinsert the cursor where it was. //Re-evaluate the cursor position, taking into account the added character. var cursorPos = endPos + myValue.length; //Set the caracter position. rangeObj.setStart(container,cursorPos) Now, this works only as long as I don't type more than the size of the original text. Say I had 30 characters in the div before hand. If I type more than that 30, it adds character 31, but places the cursor back at 30. I can type character 32 at pos.31, then character 33 at pos.32, but if I try to put character 34 in, it adds the character, and sets the cursor back at 32. The issue is that the function for adding the new character screws up if cursorPos is greater than what is defined in the range. Any ideas?

    I'm evaluating Watir right now. While Selenium has a dragAndDropToObject command (which seems to be broken) Watir seems not to have such a command. I couldn't find a script/tutorial with an example of how to test DnD with Watir. Did anybody try/succeed in testing drag-and-drop with Watir? Btw.: I am using jQuery for the DnD implementation.

    I use Firefox as my web browser, mostly for access to add-ins such as Flashblock and No-script. I noticed yesterday that the RAD Studio internal browser used for the Welcome Page etc has scripting and Active X etc enabled. Is there a way to disable scripting, or better still, block all access to non-local sources in the built-in browser?

  • Cannot change borderColor of TD

    Using JS to set the background color of a TD is fine. But, setting the border color is problematic in FF 3.0.18 although IE 6 doesn't experience this. FF is problematic in that it requires the TD element to have an attribute style initialized to border-style: solid. Without that, setting border color of a TD won't work. Is this known bug? How do I set the border color without having to set style attribute as well as the initialization value? I know another trick of setting the class attribute instead of setting the border color directly. Is this an indication that somehow TD hates having its border color set dynamically? Is this known as well?   • active_scaffold routing error

    If you haven't seen my question yesterday, this is my second rails app. The first went nice and smooth, but this one keeps giving me one random error after another. I installed active_scaffold for this app as well as the last app (the first error, instead of using script/install plugin git://active_scaffold repository, I did script/install plugin http://active_scaffold repository.) I didn't want to spell out basic CRUD on minor models. After the install problems, (before I found the http solution from a windows user when I'm on Linux) I thought I'd try out Hobo. Well, Hobo updated actionmailer, actionpack, activerecord, activeresource, and installed rack. Rails isn't even using the updated versions. But as you can see at the bottom of the trace it's using rack. I have a feeling it has something to do with my futzing around with installing Hobo which I uninstalled. Thanks in advanced. [Edit] I had asked the question over at the ActiveScaffold Group the answer (if you don't want to follow the link) was that this line needed to be added to routes: map.resources :modelName, :active_scaffold => true It doesn't entirely answer my question, since the documentation said nothing about changing routes. But, it works.   • Html / Email / Distribution list problem from a noob

    I need to create a feature for a website that will allow a user to enter their email in order to receive a free promotion (which will be emailed immediately) and be added to an announcement list. I haven't done any web programming and am wondering where I should start? Should I just create a database and everytime an email is entered, add the email to the database, then when I want to send out an announcement just write a script that will send an email to every address?   • CustomValidator, pagemethods and JQuery what fun

    Hey all, I have a CustomValidator, RequiredFieldValidator and ValidationSummary controls on an aspx page to check the current password and make sure the new password is not blank. When I click submit I get the js alert() box from the summary control telling me about just the RequiredFieldValidator being false, but the client script for the CustomValidator does not seem to get its return value used. I have checked the "arguments.IsValid" value using FireBug, so it is getting called and returning the correct bool, but it never shows up in the val summary box? Thanks, Goosey

  • Setting up Django on an internal server (os.environ() not working as expected?)

    I'm trying to setup Django on an internal company server. (No external connection to the Internet.) Looking over the server setup documentation it appears that the "Running Django on a shared-hosting provider with Apache" method seems to be the most-likely to work in this situation. Here's the server information: Can't install mod_python no root access Server is SunOs 5.6 Python 2.5 Apache/2.0.46 I've installed Django (and flup) using the --prefix option (reading again I probably should've used --home, but at the moment it doesn't seem to matter) I've added the .htaccess file and mysite.fcgi file to my root web directory as mentioned here. When I run the mysite.fcgi script from the server I get my expected output (the correct site HTML output). But, it won't when trying to access it from a browser. It seems that it may be a problem with the PYTHONPATH setting since I'm using the prefix option. I've noticed that if I run mysite.fcgi from the command-line without setting the PYTHONPATH enviornment variable it throws the following error: prompt$ python2.5 mysite.fcgi ERROR: No module named flup Unable to load the flup package. In order to run django as a FastCGI application, you will need to get flup from http://www.saddi.com/software/flup/ If you've already installed flup, then make sure you have it in your PYTHONPATH. I've added sys.path.append(prefixpath) and os.environ['PYTHONPATH'] = prefixpath to mysite.fcgi, but if I set the enviornment variable to be empty on the command-line then run mysite.fcgi, I still get the above error. Here are some command-line results: >>> os.environ['PYTHONPATH'] = 'Null' >>> >>> os.system('echo $PYTHONPATH') Null >>> os.environ['PYTHONPATH'] = '/prefix/path' >>> >>> os.system('echo $PYTHONPATH') /prefix/path >>> exit() prompt$ echo $PYTHONPATH Null It looks like Python is setting the variable OK, but the variable is only applicable inside of the script. Flup appears to be distributed as an .egg file, and my guess is that the egg implementation doesn't take into account variables added by os.environ['key'] = value (?) at least when installing via the --prefix option.   • Apache and file permissions

    I'm running LAMP on Ubuntu 8.04. Apache's username and group are www-data. I put my connection details and AES key in a file in a directory that's not web served. I chown-ed the files to www-data:www-data and set the permissions to 700. Still, the script that require()s these files will only run if I chmod the files to 755. What am I missing?
