    I have a few questions regarding the concept of HTML5 storage. I went through the w3c specification, books and tutorials on the same, but still I am a bit unclear about certain concepts: Assume that I access Website A. Some JavaScript runs in my browser that sets a key value pair, say ('username','deepak'). Then I access Website B which also adds a key,value pair in the localstorage as ('username','mahalingam'). How will they both be differentiated? Will Website B override the value set by website A in my localstorage? How can we ensure that a website would not erase all of my localstorage?

    I have a curl class, called Curl. Let's presume i have this code: $url = 'http://www.google.com' $fields = array('q'=>'search term'); //maybe some other arguments. but let's keep it simple. $curl = new Curl(); $page = $curl->post($url,$fields); $page will have some images wich curl doesn't load them by default. I need to know how i can save a specific image without using curl. Once I use $page = $curl-post(..) I need to know how I can have that image saved without using another $curl-post(_image_location_) to get that file. The reason why need this is to save a captcha image from a form. I need to access the form and get that specific image that's being loaded. If i try to access the URL of the image, it will be a different captcha image.

  • ASP.NET Web Service Throws 401 (unauthorized) Error

    Hi Experts, I have this .NET application to be run in an intranet environment. It is configured so that it requires Windows Authentication before you can access the website (Anonymous access is disabled). This website calls a web service (enable anonymous access) and the web service calls the DB. We do have a token-based authentication between the web application and the web service to secure the communication between them. The issue I'm facing is that when I deploy this to production, I'm having an intermittent issue whereby the communication between the web application and the web service failed. The 401 issue was thrown. This is actually working fine in our QA environment. Is this an issue with Active Directory? Or could it be an isssue with FQDN as mentioned here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;896861? The weirdest thing is that this is happening intermittently when tested in both on the server itself and a remote workstation in my client's environment. But, this is working perfectly in my environment. OS: Windows Server SP1 IIS 6 .NET 3.5 Framework Any idea about the 401 (Unauthorized) issue?? Thx for the help... This is from the log...   • microphone volume control from javascript

    I'd like to be able to control the system microphone volume from the browser. I know that the microphone can be recorded from using Flash or Silverlight, but these don't allow control of the microphone volume. (Flash has Microphone.gain, but as its just a software multiplier, it doesn't help when the system mic volume is muted or too loud.) I've heard that HTML5 will have some sort of microphone access, but whether it will allow volume control is unclear to me. At any rate, I don't think any browsers support it yet. Are there any plugins that would allow volume control? The old Google Gears project has some AudioApi docs, though these don't seem to have made it into the actual plugin. There's also the Google Talk plugin- it seems to do some kind of gain control, but its unclear if there's an api to the plugin. Perhaps there's a draft HTML5 implementation plugin for microphone access (like indexeddb, for example)?

Here what i'd like to be able to do : Have an enum Species made of CAT and DOG wich would grant me access to sub enums of the available CAT and DOG breeds. For example, i'd like to be able to test if wether a CAT or a DOG and if an animal is a PERSAN CAT or a PITBULL DOG. CAT and DOG breeds must be distinct enums ,i.e a CatBreeds enum and a DogBreeds enum.     I apologize if this has already been answered, but all the information out there on Facebook publishing is so confusing and conflicting, I haven't been able to get anything to work yet. I'm trying to set up an application that runs on my local server to publish content to my organization's fan page (this will tie in with my WCMS to cross-post content). I believe I want a Facebook Connect application to do this which I've set up properly in Facebook and gotten an application key and secret. Here's the code I'm trying to execute, but each time it's run I get "User has not authorized access" even if I'm just trying to publish to the application wall. ConnectSession fbSession = new ConnectSession("APP_KEY", "APP_SECRET"); Api fbAPI = new Api(fbSession); fbAPI.Stream.Publish("hello world"); I've also tried: fbAPI.Stream.Publish("hello world", null, null, FAN_PAGE_ID, APP_ID); I've granted my application access to publish on the fan page.

But my consoleapp crashs when i call the cgi script. So i did a little debuging and write a text file after some actions i do in my .net program. The result was that my programm crash everytime i'd like to open a access mdb file. It told me that i need the Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC). But i cant belive this message because my .net consoleapp runs without errors if i start it from my own. So can anybody give me some advise how i can call my .net consol ab through a webscript. I'm happy for every advise So it don't have to be a solution using a cgi script. Regards, Nico

"403 Forbidden - No projects found" is reported when I access gitweb through "http://localhost/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi" I checked the projects.list file it is empty, is that the reason why gitweb access failed? what would be the correct content? can i add it manually?

  • Tomcat cookies not working via my ProxyPass VirtualHost

    Hi there. I'm having some issues with getting cookies to work when using a ProxyPass to redirect traffic on port 80 to a web-application hosted via Tomcat. My motivation for enabling cookies is to get rid of the "jsessionid=" parameter that is appended to the URLs. I've enabled cookies in my context.xml in META-INF/ for my web application. When I access the webapplication via http://url:8080/webapp it works as expected, the jsessionid parameter is not visible in the URL, instead it's stored in a cookie. When accessing my website via an apache2 virtualhost the cookies doesn't seem to work because now "jsessionid" is being appended to the URLs. How can I solve this issue?     Hi all, I would like to implement a application which backs up all the internal datas like sms, mms, videos, audios, documents, call history stored in iPhone. But this seems to be not possible with api docs that the apple has released so far ... I have gone through the pdf of ENterprise distribution program and some of the links related to Enterprise Distribution Program, specifies about the Remote wipe and accessing of internal datas like Calendar, sms, mms ect .... But they didnt mention how to do it programmatically. Does Apple provide any special priviledges like extra api support to access the internal data in their Enterprise Distribution Program?. Is there any difference between Enterprise Distribution Program and Standard Distribution Program in the development point of view? And since in-house distribution does not require Apple approval, shall we use some other method which are not officially mentioned in apple docs, to access the internal stored data ..     I have a Windows Service that does the following when started. When running via a Console application it works fine, but once I put in a Windows Service I get the below exception. I have make custom Accessdenied page where I am showing message to user he has not permission to access this page Now the issue is, If systemAdmin try to hit Admin folder page, he will be redirected to AccessDenied.apsx page. (please Note: both user are authenticated, 1 user have permission to some folder and other user have permission to other folder. I don't want to put check in each page) where to specify accessdenied page redirection ? Thanks

I setup shiro plugin with wildcard realm, with my own tables. I may use permission based (rather tan role based) access control as it scales well. Now, the steps for it. assign the permission string to the subject, and save it in the db check the permission through isPermitted, hasPermission (or relevant tags in GSP). Now, 1. when to use the accesscontrol through filter? 2. is there a closure injected into the controller where I can define the permission for the actions in it? 3.   • DataTable identity column not set after DataAdapter.Update/Refresh on table with "instead of"-trigge

    Within our unit tests we use plain ADO.NET (DataTable, DataAdapter) for preparing the database resp. checking the results, while the tested components themselves run under NHibernate 2.1. .NET version is 3.5, SqlServer version is 2005. The database tables have identity columns as primary keys. Some tables apply instead-of-insert/update triggers (this is due to backward compatibility, nothing I can change). The triggers generally work like this: create trigger dbo.emp_insert on dbo.emp instead of insert as begin set nocount on insert into emp ... select @@identity end The insert statement issued by the ADO.NET DataAdapter (generated on-the-fly by a thin ADO.NET wrapper) tries to retrieve the identity value back into the DataRow: exec sp_executesql N' insert into emp (...) values (...); select id, ... from emp where id = @@identity ' But the DataRow's id-Column is still 0. When I remove the trigger temporarily, it works fine - the id-Column then holds the identity value set by the database. NHibernate on the other hand uses this kind of insert statement: exec sp_executesql N' insert into emp (...) values (...); select scope_identity() ' This works, the NHibernate POCO has its id property correctly set right after flushing. Which seems a little bit counter-intuitive to me, as I expected the trigger to run in a different scope, hence @@identity should be a better fit than scope_identity(). So I thought no problem, I will apply scope_identity() instead of @@identity under ADO.NET as well. But this has no effect, the DataRow value is still not updated accordingly. And now for the best part: When I copy and paste those two statements from SqlServer profiler into a Management Studio query (that is including "exec sp_executesql"), and run them there, the results seem to be inverse! There the ADO.NET version works, and the NHibernate version doesn't (select scope_identity() returns null). I tried several times to verify, but to no avail. Of course this just shows the resultset coming from the database, whatever happens inside NHibernate and ADO.NET is another topic. Also, several session properties defined by T-SQL SET are different in the two scenarios (Management Studio query vs. application at runtime) This is a real puzzle to me. I would be happy about any insights on that. Thank you!

    I installed open manage on a couple of my PE 2950s for snmp monitoring of the RAID.   • C# best means to store data locally when offline

    I am in the midst of writing a small program (more to experiment with vs 2010 than anything else) Despite being an experiment it has some practical use for our local athletics club. My thought was to access the DB (currently online) to download the current members and store locally on a laptop (this is a MS sql table, used to power the club's website). take the laptop to the event (yes there ARE places that don't have internet coverage), add members to that days race (also a row from a sql table (though no changes would be made to this), record results (new records in 3rd table) Once home, showered and within internet access again, upload/edit the tables as per the race results/member changes etc. So I was thinking i'd do something like write xml files locally with the data, including a field to indicate changes etc? If anyone can point me in a direction i would appreciate it...hell if anyone could tell me if this has a name!!..I'd appreciate it TIA Michael Artz

I know how to create a helper during init like this: helper: function() { return $("<div class='fax16'></div>"); } But what I really want to do is maybe in response to the start event get access to the element being dragged and use some of its properties to set the helper.     Where are my assets being installed to? I utilize an assets folder in my new app. I have two files in the folder. When I install my app on the emulator, I cannot access my assets, and furthermore I cannot see them on the emulator filesystem. Extracted my apk and confirmed the assets folder exists: $ ls -ltr assets/ total 16 -rw-rw-r--. 1 brad brad 1050 2010-05-20 00:33 schema-DashDB.sql -rw-rw-r--. 1 brad brad 9216 2010-05-20 00:33 dash.db On the emulator, no assets folder: # pwd /data/data/com.gtosoft.dash # ls -l drwxr-xr-x system system 2010-05-20 00:46 lib # I just want to package a pre-built database with my app and then open it to obtain data when needed. Just tried it on my Moto Droid, unable to access/open the DB, just like the emulator: DBFile=/data/data/com.gtosoft.dash/assets/dash.db Building the DB on the fly from a schema file is out of the question because its such a slow process (about 5-10 statements per second is all I get for throughput).
