    After I did brew update and brew upgrade, my postgres got some problem. I tried to uninstall postgres and install again, but it didn't work as well. How can I solve it?     Hey, if I try to connect to a Terracotta server that is currently down by calling net.sf.ehcache.CacheManager.create();, EHCache keeps retrying connection attempts for a full 300 seconds before throwing an exception with this message: Could not fetch configuration data from the server at 'terracottahost:9510'. Fetch attempt duration: 300 seconds. Is there any way to modify this time to be maybe 30 or 60 seconds? Thank you!

    I have a database which users should not be able to alter data in unless they use the specific app. I know best practice is to use windows authentication however that would mean that users could then connect to the database using any other data enabled app and change values which would then not be audited. Unfortunately SQL 2008 with its inbuilt auditing is not available. Any ideas how to ensure that users cannot change anything unless its through the controlling app?

    I accidently changed the "host" value for the root user inside of the user table for mysql. I need to change it back to localhost because I changed it to arancillary2125 (my other machines DNS name) but I cannot access mysql (from PHPMYADMIN or command prompt) due to "localhost" not having permissions anymore.     tracert mojpacient.si return over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 89-212-252-73.static.t-2.net [89.212.252.73] but if in browser i run www.mojpacient.si when i am connected to server i get connection timeout. If i am out of local network then i can connect to mojpacient.si Does anyone have any idea how is this possible and what is wrong. I suspect IIS7 but do not know what in IIS7.
