• How to recognize touch events and control a script object inside UIWebView?

  Situation: I have an UIView with an UIWebView in it. When the viewDidLoad the Javascript Object inside the UIWebView is called (Microsoft Seadragon AJAX JS). For your Understanding: Seadragon loads a specified megapixel image(JPEG) and in a Desktop Browser like Firefox i can Zoom into the image and I can drag the crop for example from the middle to the left. In the iPhone Simulator (for iPad) only the Zooming Function is working on one single tap but when i try to drag the crop (with left mouse button click and holding it) I'm dragging the whole UIWebView but not the crop of course! Is that feature which the simulator isn't able to handle or what's yout solutin guys? Special Thanks!! P.S.: It's a bit jiggling when the zooming function of Seadragon is called. Is that authentic to the real performance of the iPad or does the simulator not have the power as the iPad has?

• How to draw a full ellipse in a StreamGeometry in WPF?

  The only method in a StreamGeometryContext that seems related to ellipses is the ArcTo method. Unfortunately it is heavily geared to joining lines rather than drawing ellipses. In particular, the position of the arc is determined by a starting and ending point. For a full ellipse the two coincide obviously, and the exact orientation becomes undefined. So far the best way of drawing an ellipse centered on 100,100 of size 10,10 that I found is like this: using (var ctx = geometry.Open()) { ctx.BeginFigure(new Point(100+5, 100), isFilled: true, isClosed: true); ctx.ArcTo( new Point(100 + 5*Math.Cos(0.01), 100 + 5*Math.Sin(0.01)), // need a small angle but large enough that the ellipse is positioned accurately new Size(10/2, 10/2), // docs say it should be 10,10 but in practice it appears that this should be half the desired width/height... 0, true, SweepDirection.Counterclockwise, true, true); } Which is pretty ugly, and also leaves a small "flat" area (although not visible at normal zoom levels). • Virtual Earth Shape Rendering Performance

  I am overlaying a transparent image on my VEMap control by rendering it as a single VEShape. The shape changes sizes dynamically depeding on the zoom level of my map and can be as large as 4000*4000px. In older browsers such as IE6 and early versions of Firefox 2.x, map control performance degrades rapidly when my shape gets larger than 1500*1500px. The mouse pointer moves slowly and the map responds very slowly to events. I don't see this issue at all in newer browsers (IE7+). Are there any workarounds to boost performance of rendering a large shape for IE6 users?

• amCharts issue with Flex

  HI I am working with amCharts at the moment and was wondering if somebody could give me some sort of guidance on the matter. I am using Flex to call a server side php file which then returns some xml data. This works perfectly and efficiently. I then add this data to the chart will also works quite well. However as I try to use the scroll bar on the chart, it seems to zoom out and delete all my data. I cant figure this out at all. The same thing happens when i click the show all button.

  I'm using OpenLayers to display OpenStreetMap maps. (Though, I'd assume this should be general enough to work for any map product...) I'm displaying some very sophisticated vector overlays, and the amount and resolution of the features I'm returning from the server via GeoJSON to overlay has proven too much for many computers. What I'd like to do now instead is to only send data befitting the resolution of the current zoom, and fitting the current view port. This should be relatively easy to do using the GetResolution and CalculateBounds methods on the Map object. However, I don't know when to call these methods because I can't find a way to register a function to be called when the user pans the map (changing the view port) or zooms the map (changing the resolution and view port). How can I get a callback when the user pans or zooms the map?

  Say I have two series in pandas, series A and series B. How do I create a dataframe in which all of those values are multiplied together, i.e. with series A down the left hand side and series B along the top.   Hi there, I'd like to set up a layer tree containing images. the super layer will be bigger than the iPhone bounds and i'd like the user to drag it with the finger to let him discovering pictures that are out of the screen... is it feasible ? In the same way, I'd like to user to be able to zoom and turn the layer to see more details on images ... I plan to use core animation with layer tree having the super layer holding all images ... Am I on the right path ?

For this, I am using the following versions: Simulink (Version 7.7 - R2011a) Embedded Coder (Version 6.0 - R2011a) Code Composer Studio v3.3 I tried several options (with generic modules in Simulink and programming the C6748 timers, configuring a module "Target Preferences" with "OMAP_L138/C6748 EVM"...) but it isn't working. • Caching view-port based Geo-queries

  I have a web app with a giant Google Map in it. As users pan and zoom around on the map, points are dynamically loaded through AJAX call which include the viewport bounds (NE and SW corner coordinates) and some other assorted parameters. How do I cache these request for points? The problem is that the parameters are highly variable and (worst) not discrete i.e. floats with a lots of decimal places. I'm using ASP.NET-MVC/C#/LINQ2SQL/SQL-Server but the problem is not tied to that platform. • Flex Arraycollection filter

  Hello all I am working in Flex. I have an arraycollection which is used to fill a tilelist with images. I am using filter method of arraycollection to filter out certain images from tilelist based on a selected value from combobox. The issue is that when the images are filtered out they just vanish suddenly. But I want to give some effect to them when they are filtered out, say slow fade effect or zoom effect. I tried removedEffect, hideEffect etc. but in vain. Can anyone please help me out. thanks.

It has 360 degree rotation and can zoom in and out. As user selects a parameter, specific value of that parameter at various depth of pipe in surface should display. • iOS6 MKMapView using a ton of memory, to the point of crashing the app, anyone else notice this?

  Has anyone else, who's using maps in their iOS 6 apps, noticing extremely high memory use to the point of receiving memory warnings over and over to the point of crashing the app? I've ran the app through instruments and I'm not seeing any leaks and until the map view is created the app consistently runs at around ~3mb Live Bytes. Once the map is created and the tiles are downloaded the Live Bytes jumps up to ~13mb Live Bytes. Then as I move the map around and zoom in and out the Live Bytes continuos to climb until the app crashes at around ~40mb Live Bytes. This is on an iPhone 4 by the way. On an iPod touch it crashes even earlier. I am reusing annotation views properly and nothing is leaking. Is anyone else seeing this same high memory usage with the new iOS 6 maps? Also, does anyone have a solution?

I can easily create static words and for the last animating word i need to draw the static again n again. How can i create 2 separate layers so the static text is on one layer ( i will fill it after each second) and the last word (animated one) will be on other layer. How to create 2 separate layers? • Recommendations for a google finance-like interactive chart control

  I need some sort of interactive chart control for my .NET-based web app. I have some wide XY charts, and the user should be able to interactively scroll and zoom into a specific window on the x axis. Something that acts similar to the google finance control would be nice, but without the need for the date labels or the news event annotations. Also, I'd prefer to avoid Flash, if that's even possible. Can someone please give some recommendations of something that might come close? EDIT: the "real" google timeline visualization is for date-based data. I just have numeric data. I tried to use that control for non-date data, but it seems to always want to show a date and demands that the first data column actually be a date.

This has bigger problems because I use that to constrain absolutely positioned children to that container. I've tried all the hacks I have discovered, none work (bg-color, zoom, etc).
