  • Is it safe to change the 'Security.salt' line to a more lengthy string {64 hex key}

    Hi everyone, I have changed the Configure::write('Security.salt', '############'); value in the file config/core.php file to a '256-bit hex key'. Is it safe or a good practice to change these lines for every different installation of cakephp application or shall I revert back to the original ? I also changed the Configure::write('Security.cipherSeed','7927237598237592759727'); to a different one of more length. Please throw some light on this. Thanks

    I have this insert command where iam trying to insert a number to be taken from loop i=0 for line in column: myStmt.executeQuery("INSERT INTO REVERSE_COL ( TABLE_NAME,COL_NAME,POS) values (,'test','"+column[i]+"','"+i+"'") i=i+1 POS IS NUMBER DATATYPE but it works if i hard code as 1 i=0 for line in column: myStmt.executeQuery("INSERT INTO REVERSE_COL ( TABLE_NAME,COL_NAME,POS) values (,'test','"+column[i]+"',1") I have tried only i , +i+ and other method but its not working any suggestion how to solve this .     Hi everyone. I'm trying to configure some WCF stuff. Currently, I have a server which allows remote users to download files, and client. In the server, I use a ServiceHost class. I assume it should be running on a separate thread, however, the server UI (WinForms) becomes locked when someone downloads a file. Is there a way to manage the WCF threading model? Thank you!

Because of the nature of this particular application, I believe it would benefit greatly from a web-based approach (i.e., allowing a user to interface with the application through a browser running in kiosk mode) in order to leverage the simplicity of HTML/CSS/JS and the availability of many great JS interface plugins. Does taking this approach (rather than coding in a native or cross-platform graphics library) come with any gotchas?

  • Count white spaces to the left of a line in a text file using C++

    Hi all, I am just trying to count the number of white spaces to the LEFT of a line from a text file. I have been using count( line.begin(), line.end(), ' ' ); but obviously that includes ALL white spaces to the left, in between words and to the right. So basically what I'm wanting it to do is once it hits a non-space character stop it from counting the white spaces. Thanks everyone.
