    I have an html page that is generated by a CMS. I cannot modify the page, but can add JavaScript. Each time the page loads, a JavaScript function (that I cannot modify) dynamically inserts a paragraph onto the page. How can I use JQuery to .remove() that paragraph whenever it is loaded? For example, when the page first loads, it look like this (blank): <div></div> Then, a few seconds later, a JavaScript function (that I have no control over) adds a paragraph to the page. The page then looks like this: <div><p id="foo">bar</p></div> How can I use JQuery to remove the paragraph with id=foo each time it is dynamically loaded onto the page?

  • Facebook Error: "The client token cannot be used for this API" - works on DEV and STAGE but not on LIVE app?

    I've built a notification sending system that sends notifications to all users of our app, using the app access token. This system is currently running on my localhost. When I configure it with the appid and appsecret for my dev and stage environments, it works fine. But when I put in the appid and appsecret of the LIVE app, I get this error: {"message":"The client token cannot be used for this API", "type":"OAuthException", "code":190} So what's different between dev and live? Dev and Stage are in sandbox mode, Live is not. So I tried disabling sandbox mode on Dev/Stage and they continue to function fine. Dev works fine, Stage works fine, Live gives this error. All other code is the same except for the appid, appsecret, and redirect_uri (changing it to match the domain of each environment). I have checked this post, but unfortunately resetting our appsecret on a site with 1,000,000 users is not something we can do at the moment (too much other functionality relies on it).

Like this But I think this can be done.

But i haven't found a way to give live video stream to encoder. i.e. How to make encoder listen to particular UDP port.   • How can I extract the original image stream from a System.Drawing.Bitmap object?

    I am embedding images into my assembly using .resx files. Upon runtime, I need to save the images into standalone files, restoring the original content. How can I extract the original file stream from an System.Drawing.Bitmap instance? I know I can create a stream using Bitmap.Save(), but this transcodes (and in effect - inflates) the images, even when saving a PNG back as PNG. Or perhaps my mistake is reading them from Resource as Bitmap in the first place?

How does Youtube stream its videos so that they play on both desktops and iPhones? I'm looking for a player, or multiple players, which can be somehow activated based on the user's device.     When you look at your stream on the Facebook website, events such as "FriendX was tagged in an album", "FriendY is attending EventZ", and "FriendK and FriendL are now friends". I've tried various "vague" queries on the stream table, and so far I have been unable to get these types of events. Is this possible, or do I need to query the all of the other tables and write a ton of logic to try to figure out which new events to show and how to show them?

    Hello, I'm making a script to to run a bunch of multicast asr streams, but I do not know how to "stop" or "end" a multicast asr stream after a certain amount of time. Loop Suspend does not do what I'm looking for. I've also tried to add a sleep command followed by a kill command, but they kick in after the stream ends (so that approach does not work). Thanks for any possible help! By the way, I'm writing this script in bash.

Looking up the definition of entropy finds this graph showing how many bits of output I should, in theory, be able to get from each bit of input. The question: Is there any practical way to actually implement a converter that is nearly ideally efficient?

  • Wired PS/2 Keyboard and Mouse do not work in 12.04 Live CD or after fresh 12.04 install - Foxconn D270S Atom Motherboard

    My Wired PS/2 keyboard and mouse do not work in 12.04, either in a fresh install or from the Live CD. A USB keyboard and mouse will work. The PS/2 keyboard and mouse will work using the same hardware and a fresh 10.04 Ubuntu install or a fresh Windows 7 install. The motherboard is a Foxconn D270S Atom based motherboard. This problem is specific to this motherboard and Ubuntu 12.04. So far I've tried running in the fresh 12.04 install: sudo apt-get install sudo apt-get upgrade sudo apt-get dist-upgrade After the apt-get upgraded the first time, I now get to the point where there are 0 items to be upgraded. Rebooted and still no PS/2 keyboard/mouse. I've also tried adding the following lines to GRUB at boot time (the PS/2 keyboard works in GRUB) acpi=noirq acpi=off Neither setting made any difference. The motherboard is a Foxconn D270S Atom based motherboard. Even more interestingly, 12.04 recognizes the same PS/2 keyboard and mouse on a separate Gigabyte AM3+ based motherboard. I only have this problem on this particular motherboard with Ubuntu 12.04. Any help would be appreciated. I bought this low-power motherboard specifically for the task of running Ubuntu 12.04 for the next five years... Update... I dug out an old PS/2 mouse that does not use a PS/2 to USB adapter but is directly wired for PS/2. Still no PS/2 keyboard or mouse after reboot. Again, I only have this problem with this motherboard and 12.04 Ubuntu. Other motherboards work fine with 12.04 and this motherboard works fine with 10.04. Update 2... I installed the 12.04 Server version. The text-based installer recognized the keyboard without issue, but after the first boot into the installed OS, the PS/2 keyboard would no longer respond. I tried installing Gnome on the Server install and the PS/2 mouse and keyboard don't work in Gnome either. I Opened bug #995570 for this issue

    Ok this is somenthing unbelievable, we have a website, users sign up and receives links to confirm they signed up BUT: 1 - microsoft blocked our IP (no one with microsoft email account can receive our emails) 2 - we tryed contacting microsoft submitting the detailed form about our problem 3 - we posted 3 times in their community about our problem 4 - we tweeted they about our problem 5 - we tryed finding out some telephone support number (the few there are arent' helping at all) Do you think we solved? the answer is NO :/ We still unable to send emails from our IP to microsoft email accounts, since 3 months back. Our emails are perfect we checked all the email headers following microsoft guidelines but it seems not enought, checking our IP reputation it seems everythings ok, indeed we can send email easly to any other provider , gmail, yahoo, etc Do you know any other way to try to get help ? FULL ERROR RETURNED BY MICROSOFT: host mx1.hotmail.com[65.55.37.120] said: 550 SC-001 (COL0-MC4-F28) Unfortunately, messages from 94.23.***** weren't sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list. You can also refer your provider to http://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors.   • QapTcha error issue. Works locally, not on live server [migrated]

    I am adding QapTcha (http://demos.myjqueryplugins.com/qaptcha/) to a website that I am working on and I'm getting the error "Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'error' of null". What's weird to me is everything is working perfectly locally. No errors or anything. Once I uploaded via ftp to the live server, I get the above error.     Recommendations needed. We want to get in touch with customers via live chat. Requirements: chat window customisable to mingle with website theme (colors etc) preferably the window should be within webpage and not only pop-out/popup. ease of use by customer minimally intrusive should have triggers/Alerts to backend side. for ex: user is unable to fill-up signup form or something, we should be able to offer help to user and this chat window automatically shows to user. What is the cost ? UPDATE: After R&D we also narrowed down to comm100 and liveperson, and we will go with comm100. LP is best commerical soln. but comm100 is a good free soln. We go with comm100 as starting point. But it gives out exceptions alerts sometimes in the dashboard. Can it be configured for chat invitations triggered on certain conditions. Currently only a timebased trigger is available. Any other major difference between these two ?

    I'm using the Yii Framework which is an MVC php framework that is pretty similar to your standard web-based MVC framework. I want to display the related data from a many-to-many table as a list of strings in my view. Assuming a table schema like: tag { id, name } post { id, title, content, date } post_tag { post_id, tag_id } A post will display like: Date: 9/27/2012 Title: Some Title Content: blah blah blah... Tags: Smart Funny Cool Informative I can achieve this by doing something like this in my Post view: <?php echo join(' ', array_map(function($tag) { return $tag->name; }, $model->tags)); ?> (where $model->tags is an array of Tag objects associated with my model) My questions are: Is this amount of code/logic okay in the view? (Personally I think I'd rather just reference a property or call a single function.) If not, where should this code live? In the model? the controller? a helper? Potentially I may want to use in in other views as well. Ultimately I think its purely a display issue which would make me think it should be in the view, but then I have to repeat the code in any view I want to use it in.
