  • What does it mean for the file name to be shown with red background

    I'm trying to install Cisco VPN client on Linux Ubuntu 10.04. The installer creates the directory, places all the necessary files in it, and then fails to launch the binary. I tried to launch it myself, the system rebukes me too.   • ServerName wildcards in Apache name-based virtual hosts?

    On our LAN I've set up several 'fake' TLDs in the DNS server, with the intention of using them for Apache name-based virtual hosting. I'd like to combine this with mass-virtual-hosting (i.e. VirtualDocumentRoot) on an Ubuntu 10.04 LAMP server. However, I can't get it to select the right vhost! Here is a summary of the Apache config: NameVirtualHost 10.10.0.205 <VirtualHost 10.10.0.205> ServerName *.test VirtualDocumentRoot /var/www/%-3.0.%-2/test/%1/ CustomLog /var/log/apache2/access.log vhost_combined </VirtualHost> <VirtualHost 10.10.0.205> ServerName *.dev VirtualDocumentRoot /var/www/%-3.0.%-2/dev/%1/ CustomLog /var/log/apache2/access.log vhost_combined </VirtualHost> A hostname such as www.domain.com.dev, correctly resolves to 10.10.0.205, but always selects the top vhost, instead of the bottom one, which matches more closely. I was under the impression that Apache would first try to match the ServerName before defaulting to the top vhost for a given IP. What am I doing wrong?   • Resolve Wrong IP from Domain Name only on certain networks

    I host a personal website on an old desktop that is LAMP based. There are several strange things about this problem so I will break it down into steps. Since I have a dynamic IP, I use no-ip to make sure I have a working domain name at all times. I use the automatic update client, but logged in and checked and my no-ip domain has the proper IP tied to it. Here is a link to the homepage through the no-ip domain for reference. I also have a domain I have bought on GoDaddy where I have a CNAME record forwarding the www subdomain to my no-ip domain. CNAME Record Host: www Points to: endradil.noip.me TTL: 1 hour For the past several weeks, I never had an issue using the GoDaddy domain to connect (ssh or https). As of the past few days, however, the GoDaddy domain has only worked intermittently, for a few minutes at a time and then will go down for hours at a time. I get server not found errors most of the time. Also, if I happen to be using the GoDaddy domain for an ssh connection, the connection will freeze. I have run online tests of the DNS and have seen that the website is visible by external servers and resolved to the correct IP. I also contacted GoDaddy support but they had no issues connecting to the website, and therefore did not see any issues. My personal computers (Windows desktop, linux laptop, android phone) all fail to connect when on my personal wifi. If I disconnect my phone from the wifi and use my AT&T wireless data, it can connect with both domains without issue. When I attempt to use Google webmaster tools to crawl the site using the GoDaddy domain, Google can not find the site. From my linux laptop, I have found some interesting results when I ping or traceroute the domain. Also, the traceroute timesout on hops 12 through 255 (output truncated above). The traceroute using site24x7 works and shows reasonable results when run from their california server. From another linux box on a different network but in the same city as me (10 miles away), I still get timeout for traceroute, however the IP resolves correctly for the domain. From this I believe that the DNS result is incorrectly cached in either my router/modem or perhaps even at my ISP level. My question is, first, how do I find out exactly what is wrong, and second, how do I resolve it.

    I have a NAS device, it has 3 shares. On one computer I have access to all 3 of the shares. On another computer I keep getting this error when try and add a 2nd one. The Network folder specified is currently mapped using a different user name and password [...] That is the message I keep getting. What causes that? EDIT: Every share has it's own username and password. EDIT: NET USE on the one running 3 from the same NAS device New connections will be remembered.   • Autodiscover service seems to reply with User Principal Name instead of email address

    After this latest round of Windows updates (on 1/11/11, in fact) my Exchange 2007 server of course rebooted. This may have had the side effect of making any changes I'd inadvertently made take effect. Since then, the Autodiscover service in Exchange 2007 from Outlook 2007 seems to reply with the User Principal Name ([email protected] instead of [email protected]). I'm specifically seeing this from within the "Test Email AutoConfiguration" tool in Outlook (the UPN appears in the first text box labeled "E-mail") and when creating a new profile in Outlook. If I disregard the UPN and instead fill in my email address, Autodiscover works as expected and I can connect without issue. I've confirmed using ADSI Edit that the SMTP email address is properly set for my users. I even went a bit crazy and set the UPN to the email address using ADSI Edit. I've re-installed the Client Access role on the server in question. Exchange server is Server 2008, 64-bit of course. Clients are mostly XP 32-bit, though the issue happens from a Windows 7 machine as well.

  • Non-alphanumeric character folder name auto-completion problems

    I have been working with Windows 7's command line and have some folders that begin with non-alphanumeric characters. When I try to use tab completion to complete the folder name, the initial character is not included inside of the quotation marks. Example: C:\Users\username\!example is the folder I want to get into, but when I type: cd ! and press <Tab> to autocomplete, it will complete to cd !"!example" instead of the expected cd "!example" Any ideas on how to fix this besides changing the folder names? EDIT: I realize I could just tab through the entire list after entering cd, but I'm looking for a way to speed up the process. I have been spending a significant amount of time navigating these folders. UPDATE: This also happens if there is a space in the directory. For example: "c:\Program Files". In order to continue using tab to complete, first the second quote has to be deleted. C:\Program press Tab "C:\Program Files" is what appears. To navigate to a subdirectory, first the quote after Program Files has to be deleted before the next directory can be spelled out.

I am running a web app on Tomcat at the following location on my server. /var/tomcat/webapps/SoccerApp I am looking to update the Tomcat httpd.conf file with the following virtual host... <VirtualHost *:80> DocumentRoot /var/tomcat/webapps/SoccerApp/MyTeam ServerName www.mysoccerapp.com </VirtualHost> This gives me a 404 error as the directory MyTeam does not exist. However my application behaves in a way that it uses this URL directory as the name of the soccer team for which to display data, so it will never be a physical folder on the server. None the less, I would like www.mysoccerapp.com to resolve to webapps/SoccerApp/MyTeam, even though the directory isnt there. does this make any sense? Any ideas on how to get this working. At the end of the day, i want to do the following... www.teamone.com -> runs /webapps/SoccerApp/TeamOne www.teamone.com -> runs /webapps/SoccerApp/TeamTwo ...where TeamOne and TeamTwo are not physical directories, but merely processed by my SoccerApp application as the current soccer team to display data for.   • sendmail appends server name to external domains when relaying

    My server is set to send all email to a corporate relay server. For the company domain, it works perfectly. I've recently found emails being sent to an outside domain are getting the hostname of my server appended to the email prior to being sent. Here is the log entry for one such attempt. Nov 6 09:46:45 myservername sendmail[45023]: rA6EkjiI045023: [email protected], delay=00:00:00, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=relay, pri=30590, relay=[127.0.0.1] [127.0.0.1], dsn=2.0.0, stat=Sent (rA6Ekj2g045037 Message accepted for delivery) Nov 6 09:46:45 myservername sendmail[45061]: rA6Ekj2g045037: to=<[email protected]>, delay=00:00:00, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=relay, pri=120885, relay=relay.company.com [x.x.x.x], dsn=2.0.0, stat=Sent (ok: Message 342335947 accepted) Notice the email address difference between it being accepted by my server for delivery (correct email address), and being sent and accepted by the corporate relay (incorrect with server name appended). To make it more interesting, the application on my server uses email for user account verification/activation. In August, this particular user was able to register his account and activate it. I have made no configuration changes to mail since setting the server up over a year ago. DNS is also a corporate service.     I am using VS 2010 and Linq-to-sql I have deleted a couple of columns from my table, whatever I try I keep getting and "invalide column name" error with the old/deleted column when I try to insert a record. What tried: remove table,save, and drag it back on create new dblm with an other name created new project and create new dbml there Also the name of the deleted column does not exist in the generated code of the dbml anymore, but still I get an exception saying that column does not exists. Anyone got a suggestion how to solve this problem?

I want to call a stored function that has several parameters, but I'd like to bind the parameters by name, like so: NpgsqlCommand command = new NpgsqlCommand("\"StoredFunction\"", _Connection) command.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure; command.Parameters.Add("param2", value2); command.PArameters.Add("param1", value1); Attempts to do this so far look for a function with parameter types matching in the order in which I added the parameters to the collection, not by name. Is it possible for Npgsql to bind parameters to stored functions by name?

  • Drupal 6: Drupal Themer gives same candidate name for different type of content types

    Hi friends, I'm a drupal newbie... I have different type of contents like News, Events, etc. and their content is different. News detail page has title-content text-date. but Events detail page has title-date-content text-location-speaker-etc. So I need different layout page for these different types. So, I enabled Drupal Themer to get a candidate name. for events page, it gave me page-node.tpl.php and it gives same for News page as well :( how can I separate these pages? I expected sth like page-event-node.tpl , but no... :/ Drupal Themer also give unique candidate name for event page like page-node-18.tpl.php but it doesnt mean anything since I can not create a general layout for all events by this node name. :( Appreciate helps so much!!     I am downloading a file from the server/database via aspx page. When using the content-disposition inline the document opens in correct application but the file name is the same as the web page. I want the document to open in say MS Word but with the correct file name.     Is there any way to request an instance from the StructureMap ObjectFactory by the string name of the type? For example, it would be nice to do something like this: var thing = ObjectFactory.GetInstance("Thing"); The use case here is a messaging scenario in which the message is very generic and contains only the name of a task. The handler receives the message, gets the task name from the message and retrieves the Type of task runner from a configuration database. StructureMap scans all the assemblies in a directory and one of them will contain the Type returned from the config database which then needs to be instantiated. The other possibility is to grab a Type instance by doing the following: var type = Type.GetType("Thing"); But the problem there is the assembly may or may/not be loaded in the AppDomain so that reflection call isn't always possible.

    All, I'm a little new to WCF over IIS but have done some ASMX web services before. My WCF service is up and running but the helper page generated by the web service for me has the default names, i.e. the page that says: You have created a service. To test this service, you will need to create a client and use it to call the service. You can do this using the svcutil.exe tool from the command line with the following syntax: svcutil.exe http://localhost:53456/ServicesHost.svc?wsdl In a standard ASMX site I would use method/class attributes to give the web service a name and a namespace. When I click on the link the WSDL has: <wsdl:definitions name="SearchServices" targetNamespace="http://tempuri.org/" i.e. not the WCF Service Contract Name and Namespace from my Interface. I assume the MEX is using some kind of default settings but I'd like to change them to be the correct names. How can I do this?

    I'm debating what to name this method. CloseCashTransaction(Cash.Id, -1, true); or CompleteCyberCashTransaction(Cash.Id, -1, true); or neither are good? In business terms/process by sending in these 3 values I'm essentially "closing the transaction" or "completing the transaction" in our workflow. However on the developer side, I cant' infer wtf "Complete" or "Close" means. It forces me to look into the internals of the method. My struggle is that I try to name methods to infer what they are doing. Complete is just way too general and forces the consumer of the method to dive into the code every time I use words like this. When I see stuff like this all over code, I have to take so much time to figure out what they are actually doing. And if the comments suck, I end up having to look at all logic in that method because the comments nor the method name really infer what's going on.

  • how to category/subcategory/city/firm-name url?

    iam using ruby on rails i have models -category -subcategory -city -firm when i click on category it will show sub categories and permalink should be: xxx.com/category when i click subcategory it will show firms and city names. xxx.xom/category/subcategory when i clikc on city name it will filter firms belongs to that city xxx.com/category/subcategory/city when i clikc on firm name it will show xxx.com/category/subcategory/city/firm-name firms may have more than one sub category i used premalink_fu but i could not do that sub category system. category,subcategory,city,firm tables have their own permalink field on db. but i dont know how to combine them dynamically. i can do xxx.com/category but icant do xxx.com/category/subcategory how can i do that please help me

  • Get name of currently executing test in JUnit 4

    In JUnit 3, I could get the name of the currently running test like this: public class MyTest extends TestCase { public void testSomething() { System.out.println("Current test is " + getName()); ... } } which would print "Current test is testSomething". Is there any out-of-the-box or simple way to do this in JUnit 4? Background: Obviously, I don't want to just print the name of the test. I want to load test-specific data that is stored in a resource with the same name as the test. You know, convention over configuration and all that. Thanks!
