Configuring CakePHP on Hostgator

I have absolutely no idea what I am doing wrong here. I have followed just about every guide there is with installing cakephp on shared hosting and I am still having problems. I have also started over each time when following a guide. Maybe someone can help me out here as I am out of options. Here is my current setup: / app webroot vendors lib cake public_html .htaccess index.php plugins I have configured the index.php file in the public_html to point to the correct files. I have also done this in the index.php file located in webroot folder. I am getting an Internal 500 server error and it says to check my logs for what the error specifically is. However there are no logs being generated. I removed the .htaccess file from the public_html folder and I get the following errors: Warning: require(/app/webroot/index.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/user/public_html/index.php on line 40 Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/app/webroot/index.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/user/public_html/index.php on line 40 line 40 is require APP_DIR . nginx projects in subfolders

I'm getting frustrated with my nginx configuration and so I'm asking for help in writing my config file to serve multiple projects from sub-directories in the same root. This isn't virtual hosting as they are all using the same host value. Perhaps an example will clarify my attempt: request 192.168.1.1/ should serve index.php from /var/www/public/ request 192.168.1.1/wiki/ should serve index.php from /var/www/wiki/public/ request 192.168.1.1/blog/ should serve index.php from /var/www/blog/public/ These projects are using PHP and use fastcgi. My current configuration is very minimal. server { listen 80 default; server_name localhost; access_log /var/log/nginx/localhost.access.log; root /var/www; index index.php index.html; location ~ \.php$ { fastcgi_pass 127.0.0.1:9000; fastcgi_index index.php; fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME /var/www$fastcgi_script_name; include fastcgi_params; } } I've tried various things with alias and rewrite but was not able to get things set correctly for fastcgi. It seems there should be a more eloquent way than writing location blocks and duplicating root, index, SCRIPT_FILENAME, etc. Any pointers to get me headed in the right direction are appreciated.

Sending mails via Mutt and Gmail: Duplicates

I'm trying to setup mutt wiht gmail for the first time. It seems to work pretty well, however when I send a mail from Mutt i appears twice in Gmail's sent folder. htaccess mod_rewrite conundrum

Ok, so I have this .htaccess file that contains this <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . /index.php?p=%{REQUEST_URI}&%{QUERY_STRING} [L] </IfModule> Problem is, that in apache 2.2.22, the p and the other query objects don't come through, but it works great in apache 2.4.2 . So basically in apache 2.2.22 it just forwards everything to index.php, but it doesn't have any get objects. Any help, thanks. Update Ok so I changed the line RewriteRule . /index.php?p=%{REQUEST_URI}&%{QUERY_STRING} [L] to RewriteRule ^(.*) /index.php?p=$1 [L,QSA] And now on apache 2.2.22 the p GET doesn't go through, but any specific queries I add go through. So If I do http://localhost/index/fun/buns/funds?man=woman on 2.4.2 I get array (size=2) 'p' => string 'index/fun/buns/funds' (length=20) 'man' => string 'woman' (length=5) and on 2.2.22 I get array(1) { ["man"]=> string(5) "woman" } To be clear What's happening on 2.4.2 is what I want, and 2.2.22 isn't cooperating. Another Update Ok so it seems like what is happening is that when I do /index/whatever, it auto assumes index.php, and ignores that, it auto adds the .php to it, when I don't want it to. Any ideas on how to stop that?

URL routing in an MVC framework - PHP

I'm developing an MVC framework in PHP from scratch; mostly for the learning experience but this could easily end up in a live project. I went through this tutorial as a base and I've expanded from there. Requests are made like this: examplesite.com/controller/action/param1/param2/ and so on... And this is my .htaccess file: RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?rt=$1 [L,QSA] So all requests go to index.php and they are routed to the correct controller and action from there. If no controller or action is given, then the default 'index' is assumed for both. I have an index controller with an index action, which is supposed to be the home page of my site. I can access it by going to examplesite.com (since the index part is assumed). It has some images, a link to a stylesheet, and some scripts. They are linked with paths relative to index.php. I thought this would be fine since all request go to index.php and all content is simply included in this page using php. This works if I go to examplesite.com. I will see all of the images and styles, and scripts will run. However, if I go to examplesite.com/index, I am routed to the correct part of the site, but all of the links don't work. Does the browser think I am in a different folder? I would like to be able to use relative paths for all of the content in my site, because otherwise I need to use absolute paths everywhere to make sure things will show up. Is this possible?

Demantra Partitioning and the First PK Column

We have found that it is necessary in Demantra to have an index that matches the partition key, although it does not have to be the PK. It is ok to create a new index instead of changing the PK. For example, if my PK on SALES_DATA is (ITEM_ID, LOCATION_ID, SALES_DATE) and I decide partition by SALES_DATE, then I should add an index starting with the partition key like this: (SALES_DATE, ITEM_ID, LOCATION_ID). * Note that the first column of the new index matches the partition key. It might also be helpful to create a 2nd index with the other PK columns reversed (SALES_DATE, LOCATION_ID, ITEM_ID). Again, the first column matches the partition key.

Upgrade Ubuntu 11.10 to 12.10

To whoever can help, I want to update the ubuntu on my laptop to 12.10 from the current version 11.10, when i click on the update manager i get a partial update gui, if i click cancel on that i get the gui for update which has three buttons check, install updates and upgrade. But how can I do an url name, which is completely different from the filename? For example www.example.com/this-is-some-page would show me the content of index.php?content1

.htaccess mobile redirect issues

I'm trying to set up a mobile redirect for a site with 2 subfolders, and I cannot get both to work at the same time. This is the structure of the site www.mysite.com/EN/ www.mysite.com/ES/ This is a bilingual site so each subfolder contains the files corresponding to each language version. Then I was using a 301 redirect, and setting up the index in /EN/ as the main index. Everything was getting redirected to it. I was using DirectoryIndex index.html Redirect /index.html http://www.mysite.com/EN/index.html and several Rewritecond to redirect mysite.com and old urls to the new URL. It worked fine before I decided to add a mobile version - m.mysite.com. I used the solution provided in http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3680463/mobile-redirect-using-htaccess, and it redirects my mobile version properly, but now the desktop is both working. Besides, my mobile version must be bilingual as well.

Why does adding a Flex DateChooser component throw an index out of bounds error?

It's really weird because I didn't have this issue until this morning. All I did in the meantime was changing some layout-related stuff, but I don't see what is would have to do with this problem. I don't get it... Does anyone have a clue about how to fix this ? I need my DateChooser ! Thanks ! Laura EDIT - It seems that the problem is not caused by the DateChooser itself, but by the FormItem around it. .Net DataGridView "Index 0 does not have a value."

I am having trouble with a DataGridView. I have a collection of 3 Items bound to the grid, when trying to delete one of the items and reload the grid. If have code of If (dlg.ShowDialog() = DialogResult.OK) Then 'Show dialog with grid on it End If On the opened dialog, I delete an item from the grid (which should in turn, delete the item from the collection, and re-load the grid), and it returns to the "If (dlg.show..." line, with the error of "A first chance exception of type 'System.IndexOutOfRangeException' occurred in System.Windows.Forms.dll Additional information: Index 2 does not have a value. " (I have break into debugger set on for common language runtime errors) I can understand this error if i were trying to access any cells, row or columns, but im not, and then I would expect the exception to stop on the line of code that is trying to access this grid data, not the "If (dlg.ShowDialog()... " line Any ideas? Cheers

I have an error at Column 'key' in table 'misc_info' is of a type that is invalid for use as a key column in an index. where key is a nvarchar(max). A quick google found this. It however doesnt explain what a solution is. How do i create something like Dictionary where the key and value are both strings and obviously the key must be unique and is single. My sql statement was create table [misc_info] ( [id] INTEGER PRIMARY KEY IDENTITY NOT NULL, [key] nvarchar(max) UNIQUE NOT NULL, [value] nvarchar(max) NOT NULL);

Why is my implementation of the Sieve of Atkin overlooking numbers close to the specified limit?

My implementation either overlooks primes near the limit or composites near the limit. while some limits work and others don't. I'm am completely confused as to what is wrong. def AtkinSieve (limit): results = [2,3,5] sieve = [False]*limit factor = int(math.sqrt(lim)) for i in range(1,factor): for j in range(1, factor): n = 4*i**2+j**2 if (n <= lim) and (n % 12 == 1 or n % 12 == 5): sieve[n] = not sieve[n] n = 3*i**2+j**2 if (n <= lim) and (n % 12 == 7): sieve[n] = not sieve[n] if i>j: n = 3*i**2-j**2 if (n <= lim) and (n % 12 == 11): sieve[n] = not sieve[n] for index in range(5,factor): if sieve[index]: for jndex in range(index**2, limit, index**2): sieve[jndex] = False for index in range(7,limit): if sieve[index]: results.append(index) return results For example, when I generate a primes to the limit of 1000, the Atkin sieve misses the prime 997, but includes the composite 965. But if I generate up the limit of 5000, the list it returns is completely correct.
