  • Hows does Seam injection work in Ejb3

    - by kazanaki
Hello We are using Seam 2.2.0 Java 1.6.14 Weblogic 10.3.1.0 (named 11g Doh!) I have looked at Seam reference Seam in action These web pages However I still do not understand how to inject an EJB3 bean into a JSF backing bean. It seems to me that I have to (correct me if I am wrong) Annotate with @Name my backing bean Annotate with @Name my EJB3 bean Use the @In annotation in the backing bean Put an empty seam.properties file in the WAR that contains the backing bean Put an empty seam.properties file in the JAR that contains the EJB Set up a Seam interceptor in ejb-jar.xml of the EJB Don't I need to setup some JNDI URL somewhere? How exactly does Seam will find the EJB? The interceptor is enough? Also this means that I have to add a seam dependency in my EJB archive (because of the @Name annotation). So the web layer (Seam) "spills" into my business logic (EJB). Is this the recommended approach? Am I missing something here?

  • GoogleAppEngine : ClassNotFoundException : javax.jdo.metadata.ComponentMetadata

    - by James.Elsey
    I'm trying to deploy my application to a locally running GoogleAppEngine development server, but I'm getting the following stack trace when I start the server Apr 23, 2010 9:03:33 PM running at http://localhost:1234/ I'm a little confused over this, since I have the same application running locally on GlassFish/MySQL. All I have done is to swap in the relevant jar files, and change the persistence.xml. My applicationContext.xml looks as follows : <context:annotation-config/> <bean id="clientDao" class="com.jameselsey.salestracker.dao.jpa.JpaDaoClient"> <property name="entityManagerFactory" ref="entityManagerFactory"/> </bean> <bean id="entityManagerFactory" class="org.springframework.orm.jpa.LocalContainerEntityManagerFactoryBean"/> <bean id="transactionManager" class="org.springframework.orm.jpa.JpaTransactionManager"> <property name="entityManagerFactory" ref="entityManagerFactory" /> </bean> <bean id="org.springframework.context.annotation.internalPersistenceAnnotationProcessor" class="com.jameselsey.salestracker.util.GaeFixInternalPersistenceAnnotationProcessor" /> <bean class="org.springframework.orm.jpa.support.PersistenceAnnotationBeanPostProcessor"/> <tx:annotation-driven/> <bean id="clientService" class="com.jameselsey.salestracker.service.ClientService"/> </beans> My JPA DAO looks like this public class JpaDao extends JpaDaoSupport { protected <T> List<T> findAll(Class<T> clazz) { return getJpaTemplate().find("select c from " + clazz.getName() + " c"); } protected <T> T findOne(String jpql, Map params) { List<T> results = getJpaTemplate().findByNamedParams(jpql, params); if(results.isEmpty()) { return null; } if(results.size() > 1) { throw new IncorrectResultSizeDataAccessException(1, results.size()); } return results.get(0); } } And an example implemented method looks like this : @Override public Client getClientById(Integer clientId) { String jpql = "SELECT c " + "FROM com.jameselsey.salestracker.domain.Client c " + "WHERE c.id = " + clientId; return (Client) getJpaTemplate().find(jpql).get(0); } Like I say, this works ok on Glassfish/MySQL, is it possible this error could be a red herring to something else?

  • Does Hibernate create tables in the database automatically.

    - by theJava
    http://www.vaannila.com/spring/spring-hibernate-integration-1.html Upon reading this tutorial, they have not mentioned anything over creating tables in the DB. Does the Hibernate handle it automatically by creating tables and fields once i specify them. Here is my beans configuration. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:p="http://www.springframework.org/schema/p" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans.xsd"> <bean id="viewResolver" class="org.springframework.web.servlet.view.InternalResourceViewResolver" p:prefix="/WEB-INF/jsp/" p:suffix=".jsp" /> <bean id="myDataSource" class="org.apache.commons.dbcp.BasicDataSource" destroy-method="close"> <property name="driverClassName" value="com.mysql.jdbc.Driver"/> <property name="url" value="jdbc:mysql://127.0.0.1:3306/spring"/> <property name="username" value="monwwty"/> <property name="password" value="www"/> </bean> <bean id="mySessionFactory" class="org.springframework.orm.hibernate3.annotation.AnnotationSessionFactoryBean"> <property name="dataSource" ref="myDataSource" /> <property name="annotatedClasses"> <list> <value>uk.co.vinoth.spring.domain.User</value> </list> </property> <property name="hibernateProperties"> <props> <prop key="hibernate.dialect">org.hibernate.dialect.MySQLDialect</prop> <prop key="hibernate.show_sql">true</prop> <prop key="hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto">create</prop> </props> </property> </bean> <bean id="myUserDAO" class="uk.co.vinoth.spring.dao.UserDAOImpl"> <property name="sessionFactory" ref="mySessionFactory"/> </bean> <bean name="/user/*.htm" class="uk.co.vinoth.spring.web.UserController" > <property name="userDAO" ref="myUserDAO" /> </bean> </beans>

  • New Session is created between consecutive servlet request from an Applet and a managed bean??

    - by khue
Hi, I want to pass parameters betweeen applet and jsf components So when a value of a input textbox changed, its binding backing bean makes connection to a servlet. The servlet create an attribute and save to HttpSession using (request.getSession(true)).setAttribute(name, value); Then at some event, applet will access another servlet. This servlet will try to retrieve the Attribute saved to Session previously. However, everytime, the attirbute returned is null as the new session is created instead. My question is: Is the session should be persist? ( I checked allowcookies, session timeout for weblogic) If yes, what might go wrong with my app? Thanks a lot for your help. Regards K.

  • Is it okay to pass injected EntityManagers to EJB bean's helper classes and use it?

    - by Zwei steinen
We have some JavaEE5 stateless EJB bean that passes the injected EntityManager to its helpers. Is this safe? It has worked well until now, but I found out some Oracle document that states its implementation of EntityManager is thread-safe. Now I wonder whether the reason we did not have issues until now, was only because the implementation we were using happened to be thread-safe (we use Oracle). @Stateless class SomeBean { @PersistenceContext private EntityManager em; private SomeHelper helper; @PostConstruct public void init(){ helper = new SomeHelper(em); } @Override public void business(){ helper.doSomethingWithEm(); } } Actually it makes sense.. If EntityManager is thread-unsafe, a container would have to do inercept business() this.em = newEntityManager(); business(); which will not propagate to its helper classes. If so, what is the best practice in this kind of a situation? Passing EntityManagerFactory instead of EntityManager?

  • How to configure Spring-DM OSGi service for new instance per call?

    - by Bhav
I'm starting to delve into using Spring DM and OSGi services in an RCP application. I've created a service which is used by another bundle in the RCP application. It does a lookup of the service via calls to getBundleContext().getServiceReference() using the explicit bundle names and service class names. I'm not using DI anywhere yet. The issue I'm running into is that the service that is returned in the requesting bundle is a singleton. At times I notice a threading issue since it is a "stateful" service. How do I configure the application to get back a new service instance with each call? Here is my spring xml file contents which registers the service: <bean id="myServBean" class="com.xyz.ClassImpl"/> <osgi:service ref="myServBean" class="com.xyz.Class"/>

  • An Epic Question "How to call a method when the page loads"

    - by Arunkumar Ramamoorthy
Quite often, there comes a question in OTN, with different subjects, all meaning "How to call a method when my ADF page loads?". More often, people tend to take the approach of ADF Phase Listener by overriding before/afterPhase methods. In this blog, we will go through different options in achieving it.1. Method Call Activity as default activity in Taskflow :If the application is built with taskflows, then this is the best suited approach to take. 1.a. Calling a Data Control Method :To call a Data Control method (ex: A method in AMImpl exposed as client interface), simply Drag and Drop the method as Default Method Call Activity, then draw a control flow case from the method to your page. Once after this, drop the taskflow as region in main page. When we run the main page, the Method Call Activity would be called first, and then the page will be rendered.1.b. Calling a Method in Backing Bean: To call a method in the backing bean before pageload, we can follow the similar approach as above. Instead of binding the Method Call Activity to an action/method binding in pagedef, we bind to the method. Insert a Method Call Activity (and make it as default) from the Component Palette. Double click on to select a method to bind. This approach can also be used, to perform some action in backing bean along with calling a method Data Control (just need to add bindings code in backing bean to execute DC method). 2. Using invokeAction Executable :If the application is built with pages and no taskflows are involved, then this option can be taken into consideration. In the page definition of the page, add an invokeAction Executable and bind it to the method needed to be executed. 3. Using combination of Server and Client Listeners : If the page does not have any page definition, then to call a method in backing bean, this approach can be taken. In this, a serverListener would be added at the document level, which would be calling the method in backing bean. Along with this, a clientListener would be added with "load" type (i.e will be triggered when the page loads), which would queue a serverEvent to trigger the method. 4. Using Page Phase Listener :This should be the last resort. Care should be taken when using this approach since the Phase Listener would be called for each request sent by the client.Zeeshan Baig's blog covers this scenario.

  • How to enforce jsf to create new instance of bean instead of throwing NullPointerException?

    - by Roman
I'm almost sure that I do something wrong and thus the question's title is a bit incorrect. I have a form with several fields for creating a new User-objects (fields like login, password, birthday etc). And I have 2 buttons - Cancel and Create. I didn't finish Create yet :) , but when I press Cancel I see NullPointerException. Here is simplified code: <f:view> <h:form> <h:panelGroup layout="block"> <h:inputText id="add_login" value="#{userSupport.user.login}"/> <h:inputSecret id="add_password" value="#{userSupport.user.password}"/> <h:inputText id="add_name" value="#{userSupport.user.name}"/> <h:inputText id="add_surname" value="#{userSupport.user.surname}"/> <h:commandButton value="Cancel" action="cancel"/> </h:panelGroup> </h:form> </f:view> UserSupport class has field user with getter and setter and some other methods. It's a Spring bean with Session scope. When I press cancel, I see NPE because jsf tries to save values from inputs in user-object, but user-object is null. What is the correct way of doing this?

  • How to get the ui:param value in Javabean

    - by mihaela
Hello, I am learning facelets and Seam and I'm facing the following problem: I'm have 2 xhtml files, one includes the other and each one has its own Seam component as backing bean. I want to send and object to the included facelet and obtain that object in the backing bean corresponding to the included facelet. I'll take an example to explain better the situation: registration.xhtml with Seam component as backing bean Registration.java. In this class I have an object of type Person address.html with Seam component as backing bean Address.java. In this class i want to obtain the Person object from the Registration component and set the address. registration.xhtml includes the address.xhtml and passes an object using How to obtain this object in Address bean? Will be the same reference of the object from the Registration bean? is the solution of passing this object or there is another solution for that? (maybe f:attribute, but even in this case how do I obtain the object in bean) This example is simple and not necessarily realistic but I have a similar problem and I don't know how to solve it. Thanks in advance.

  • How to deploy EJB on server?

    - by shekhar
Hi, I am learning EJB3 from last few days. I have many questions regarding EJB, application servers and deployment of EJB. To start with, I have created one simple helloworld stateless session bean but I don't know how to deploy it on server. It has single bean class, bean interface and one servlet client. I have used eclipse to develop this project. None of the books that I read gives step by step details about how to put EJB on server and how to access those beans. I have JBoss 6 server and I also have JEE budle downloaded from sun website. Does this JEE bundle contains Glassfish server? or do I need to download it seperately? Can anyone please give me step by step details of how to put my bean and its client on server (JBoss or JEE)? and why do we need to include bean interface class in EJB client code? I mean either we need to keep client and bean in same package or if we keep them in seperate packages we need to import bean interfaces in client code. Am I right? Thanks and Regards, Chandrashekhar

  • h:commandButton action not working inside a h:datatable.

    - by Chris
I'm stuck with this piece of jsf code that I don't understand why it's working when used outside a datatable and doesn't inside a datatable... <h:dataTable id="myTable" rendered="true" value="#{bean.selectedItemsList}" var="items"> <h:column> <h:commandButton action="#{bean.removeItemFromList}" image="/resources/images/deleterow.gif"> <f:actionListener binding="#{bean.actionListenerImpl}" type="com.mycorp.ActionListenerImpl"/> </h:commandButton> </h:column> <h:column> <h:outputText value="#{items}" /> </h:column> </h:dataTable> I read around the net to put value="#{items}" inside the action listener so the action can get the items in the row like this: <f:actionListener value="#{items}" binding="#{bean.actionListenerImpl}" type="com.mycorp.ActionListenerImpl"/> But it's doesn't work either. Bu if I do the action outside the data table everything work fine. <h:commandButton action="#{bean.removeItemFromList}" image="/resources/images/deleterow.gif"> <f:actionListener binding="#{bean.actionListenerImpl}" type="com.mycorp.ActionListenerImpl"/> </h:commandButton> Side note I also tried a4j:commandButton and didn't so I guess my problem is probably the actionlistener or how the bean handling it.

  • JavaEE: Question about design

    - by Harry Pham
I have a JSF page that will create a new Comment. I have the managed bean of that page to be RequestScoped managed bean. @ManagedBean(name="PostComment") @RequestScoped public class PostComment { private Comment comment = null; @ManagedProperty(value="#{A}") private A a; //A is a ViewScoped Bean @ManagedProperty(value="#{B}") private B b; //B is a ViewScoped Bean @PostConstruct public void init(){ comment = new Comment(); } // setters and getters for comment and all the managed property variable public void postComment(String location){ //persist the new comment ... if(location.equals("A")){ //update the comment list on page A }else if(location.equals("B")){ //update the comment list on page B } } } As you can see from the code above, 2 ViewScoped bean A and B will both use method postComment(), and getter getComment() from bean PostComment. The problem I am having right now is that, if I am on A, constructor of A will load, but it will also load constructor of bean B. This make my page load twice as slow. What would be the best way to solve this problem?

  • How to use EJB 3.1 DI in Servlet ? (Could not inject session bean by @EJB from web application)

    - by kislo_metal
I am tying to merging web application(gwt, jpa) to an separate 2 application(business login in ejb/jpa and web client in gwt). Currently i can`t inject my beans from web application (simple servlet) I am using glassfish v3. module limbo(ejb jar) is in dependency of module lust (war). If I use lust with compiler output of limbo everything work perfect (if ejb in web application and the are deploying together as one application). Have I messed some container configuration ? Here is my steps: I have some limbo.jar (ejb-jar) deployed to ejb container. I do not use any ejb-jar.xml, only annotations. package ua.co.inferno.limbo.persistence.beans; import javax.ejb.Remote; @Remote public interface IPersistentServiceRemote { ArrayList<String> getTerminalACPList(); ArrayList<String> getBoxACPList(); ArrayList<String> getCNPList(); ArrayList<String> getCNSList(); String getProductNamebyID(int boxid); ArrayList<String> getRegionsList(String lang); long getSequence(); void persistEntity (Object ent); } package ua.co.inferno.limbo.persistence.beans; import ua.co.inferno.limbo.persistence.entitis.EsetChSchemaEntity; import ua.co.inferno.limbo.persistence.entitis.EsetKeyActionsEntity; @Local public interface IPersistentService { ArrayList<String> getTerminalACPList(); ArrayList<String> getBoxACPList(); ArrayList<String> getCNPList(); ArrayList<String> getCNSList(); String getProductNamebyID(int boxid); ArrayList<String> getRegionsList(String lang); long getSequence(); long persistPurchaseBox(EsetRegPurchaserEntity rp); void removePurchaseTempBox(EsetRegPurchaserTempEntity rpt); EsetRegionsEntity getRegionsById(long rid); void persistEntity (Object ent); } package ua.co.inferno.limbo.persistence.beans; import ua.co.inferno.limbo.persistence.entitis.EsetChSchemaEntity; import ua.co.inferno.limbo.persistence.entitis.EsetKeyActionsEntity; import ua.co.inferno.limbo.persistence.entitis.EsetRegBoxesEntity; import javax.ejb.Stateless; import javax.persistence.EntityManager; import javax.persistence.PersistenceContext; @Stateless(name = "PersistentService") public class PersistentServiceEJB implements IPersistentService, IPersistentServiceRemote{ @PersistenceContext(unitName = "Limbo") EntityManager em; public PersistentServiceEJB() { } ......... } Than i trying to use PersistentService session bean(included in limbo.jar) from web application in lust.war (the limbo.jar & lust.war is not in ear) package ua.co.lust; import ua.co.inferno.limbo.persistence.beans.IPersistentService; import javax.ejb.EJB; import javax.servlet.ServletException; import javax.servlet.annotation.WebServlet; import javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet; import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest; import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse; import java.io.IOException; @WebServlet(name = "ServletTest", urlPatterns = {"/"}) public class ServletTest extends HttpServlet { protected void doPost(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException { service(request, response); } protected void doGet(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException { service(request, response); } @EJB private IPersistentService pService; public void service(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException { String hi = pService.getCNPList().toString(); System.out.println("testBean.hello method returned: " + hi); System.out.println("In MyServlet::init()"); System.out.println("all regions" + pService.getRegionsList("ua")); System.out.println("all regions" + pService.getBoxACPList()); } } web.xm <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <web-app xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-app_3_0.xsd" version="3.0"> <servlet> <servlet-name>ServletTest</servlet-name> <servlet-class>ua.co.lust.ServletTest</servlet-class> </servlet> </web-app> When servelt is loading i ge 404 eror (The requested resource () is not available.) • JPA Entity (in multiple persistence-unit) in OSGi (Spring DM) Environnement is confusing me.

    - by Vincent Demeester
Hi, I'm a bit confused about a strange behavior of my JPA's related objects. I have three bundle : The User bundle does contain some user-related objects, but mainly the User object. The Energy bundle does contain some energy-related objects, and particularly a ConsumptionTerminal which contains a List of User. The Index bundle does contain an Index object that has no dependency at all. My OSGi environment is the following : A DataSource bundle that provide 2 services : dataSource and jpaVendorAdapter. The three bundles. They consume dataSource and jpaVendorAdapter. Their module-context.xml file look like : And they all have a persistence.xml file : User <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <persistence> <persistence-unit name="securityPU" transaction-type="JTA"> <jta-data-source>java:/securityDataSourceService</jta-data-source> <class>net.nextep.amundsen.security.domain.User</class> <!-- [...] --> <exclude-unlisted-classes>true</exclude-unlisted-classes> <properties> <property name="eclipselink.logging.level" value="INFO" /> <property name="eclipselink.ddl-generation" value="create-tables" /> <property name="eclipselink.ddl-generation.output-mode" value="database" /> <property name="eclipselink.orm.throw.exceptions" value="true" /> </properties> </persistence-unit> </persistence> Energy <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <persistence> <persistence-unit name="energyPU" transaction-type="JTA"> <jta-data-source>java:/securityDataSourceService</jta-data-source> <class>net.nextep.amundsen.security.domain.User</class> <class>net.nextep.amundsen.energy.domain.User</class> <!-- [...] --> <exclude-unlisted-classes>true</exclude-unlisted-classes> <properties> <property name="eclipselink.logging.level" value="INFO" /> <property name="eclipselink.ddl-generation" value="create-tables" /> <property name="eclipselink.ddl-generation.output-mode" value="database" /> <property name="eclipselink.orm.throw.exceptions" value="true" /> </properties> </persistence-unit> </persistence> Index : This one has the most simple persistence.xml with just the Index class (no shared Class). I'm using named @PersistenceUnit annotation like @PersitenceUnit(name = 'securityPU') (for the User bundle). And finally, I'm using EclipseLink as Jpa provider and Spring DM (+ Spring DM Server in the development process) The problem is the following : When the User bundle is deployed, I'm able to persist User objects. When the User bundle and Energy bundles are both deployed, I'm not able to persist User objects (neither the Energy object). But I don't have any exception at all ! There is no problem at all with the Index bundle. The bug is dataSource independent (I tried with PostgreSQL and MySQL so far). My first conclusion was that the <class>net.nextep.amundsen.security.domain.User</class> in both persistence unit was causing the trouble. I tried without it (and hiding the User dependent object in the Energy bundle) but it failed too. I'm a bit confused about that bug. I'm also not quite sure about the transaction management in this context. I wasn't the one who designed this architecture (but I tell my intern OK without testing it.. shame on me) but if I could understand this bug and maybe fix it without rewrite the bundle (and break my intern work), I would appreciate. Am I doing something wrong ? (it's obvious, but what..) Did I miss something while reading documentation ? By the way, I'm also looking for some best practices or advices when it comes to JPA, EclipseLink (or whatever JPA Provider) and Spring DM (and OSGi in general). I found interesting slides from Mike Keith about this topic (by browsing Stackoverflow).

  • JBoss ignores @RemoteBinding annotation

    - by tputkonen
I would like to specify JNDI name for an EJB3 bean using annotation, but JBoss 5.1.0 GA seems to ignore the annotation completely. Bean's annotations are: @Remote(Foobar.class) @Stateless(name = "Foobar") @TransactionManagement(TransactionManagementType.BEAN) @RemoteBinding(jndiBinding="ejb/Foobar") public class FoobarBean implements Foobar { ... I tested deploying also using @RemoteBindings annotation, but the result was same: @RemoteBindings({@RemoteBinding(jndiBinding="ejb/Foobar")}) The bean does not get bound to JNDI with the specified name, and the log file doesn't give any clues.

  • EntityManagerFactory error on Websphere

    - by neverland
I have a very weird problem. Have an application using Hibernate and spring.I have an entitymanger defined which uses a JNDI lookup .It looks something like this <bean id="entityManagerFactory" class="org.springframework.orm.jpa.LocalContainerEntityManagerFactoryBean"> <property name="dataSource" ref="dataSource" /> <property name="persistenceUnitName" value="ConfigAPPPersist" /> <property name="jpaVendorAdapter"> <bean class="org.springframework.orm.jpa.vendor.HibernateJpaVendorAdapter"> <property name="showSql" value="true" /> <property name="generateDdl" value="false" /> <property name="databasePlatform" value="org.hibernate.dialect.Oracle9Dialect" /> </bean> </property> </bean> <bean id="dataSource" class="org.springframework.jdbc.datasource.WebSphereDataSourceAdapter"> <property name="targetDataSource"> <bean class="org.springframework.jndi.JndiObjectFactoryBean"> <property name="jndiName" value="jdbc/pmp" /> </bean> </property> </bean> This application runs fine in DEV. But when we move to higher envs the team that deploys this application does it successfully initially but after a few restarts of the application the entitymanager starts giving this problem Caused by: javax.persistence.PersistenceException: [PersistenceUnit: ConfigAPPPersist] Unable to build EntityManagerFactory at org.hibernate.ejb.Ejb3Configuration.buildEntityManagerFactory(Ejb3Configuration.java:677) at org.hibernate.ejb.HibernatePersistence.createContainerEntityManagerFactory(HibernatePersistence.java:132) at org.springframework.orm.jpa.LocalContainerEntityManagerFactoryBean.createNativeEntityManagerFactory(LocalContainerEntityManagerFactoryBean.java:224) at org.springframework.orm.jpa.AbstractEntityManagerFactoryBean.afterPropertiesSet(AbstractEntityManagerFactoryBean.java:291) at org.springframework.beans.factory.support.AbstractAutowireCapableBeanFactory.invokeInitMethods(AbstractAutowireCapableBeanFactory.java:1368) at org.springframework.beans.factory.support.AbstractAutowireCapableBeanFactory.initializeBean(AbstractAutowireCapableBeanFactory.java:1334) ... 32 more Caused by: org.hibernate.MappingException: **property mapping has wrong number of columns**: com.***.***.jpa.marketing.entity.MarketBrands.$performasure_j2eeInfo type: object Now you would say this is pretty obvious the entity MarketBrands is incorrect. But its not it maps to the table just fine. And the same code works on DEV. Also the jndi cannot be incorrect since it deploys and works fine initially but throws uo this error after a restart. This is weird and not very logical. But if someone has faced this or has any idea on what might be causing this Please!! help The persistence.xml for the persitence unit has very little <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <persistence xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence/persistence_1_0.xsd" version="1.0"> <persistence-unit name="ConfigAPPPersist"> <!-- commented code --> </persistence-unit> </persistence>

  • Why are the custom campaign parameters in Google Analytics so long?

Adding several Google Analytics custom campaign parameters can make URLs very long. For example, in Google's own examples: http://www.example.com/?utm_campaign=spring&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=exampleblog http://www.example.com/?utm_campaign=spring&utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter1 http://www.example.com/?utm_campaign=spring&utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter1&utm_content=toplink Is there shorter alternatives that GA will pick up?

  • How to convert a Java object (bean) to key-value pairs (and vice versa)?

    - by Shahbaz
Say I have a very simple java object that only has some getXXX and setXXX properties. This object is used only to handle values, basically a record or a type-safe (and performant) map. I often need to covert this object to key value pairs (either strings or type safe) or convert from key value pairs to this object. Other than reflection or manually writing code to do this conversion, what is the best way to achieve this? An example might be sending this object over jms, without using the ObjectMessage type (or converting an incoming message to the right kind of object).
