  Due to a Hard disk problem I am trying to shift a partition from one hard disk to another. I am following http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/library/l-partplan.html article to do that. In the copying part I would like to ignore one particular sub directory. How can I accomplish that keeping in mind when copying I have to preserve my owner group and time stamp. There is around 700 GB of data that needs to be copied if I do not ignore a particular subdirectory.

I need to create a text file that will give the contents, but all in 1 line separated by a space.   Hi, I have installed emule on Windows 7. When I start emule, I will receive a message "failed to create Incoming Files directory 'C:\Program Files\eMule\Incoming' - Access is denied", similar message for "C:\Program Files\eMule\Temp" and "Failed to initialize cryptokeys - secure ident disabled". It looks like Windows 7 does not allow emule to make such operation. How can I give emule the right to do what it needs? Thanks!

When I try to connect I get this in the server event log: "The user xx connected from x.x.x.x but failed an authentication attempt due to the following reason: The account does not have permission to dial in." When a user logs in they are redirected from https://subdir.mailmarkup.org/ to https://subdir.mailmarkup.org/~homedir/subdir. One option is to make some big files, and then mkfs them, and mount over loopback, and then set quota, but this makes expansion a bit problematic. Is there any other way to make the quota work per directory?

I checked my httpd.conf (I'm running Centos) and the mod_rewrite library is being loaded. As a side note, my server is not a www server, it's simply a virtual machine so it's hostname is centosvm.

This means that username is able to add new members to the group for directoryname without root privileges.
