  • How do I code Citrix web sites to use a Secure Gateway (CSG)?

    I'm using Citrix's sample code as a base and trying to get it to generate ICA files that direct the client to use their Secure Gateway (CSG) provider. My configuration is that the ICA file's server address is replaced with a CSG ticket and traffic is forced to go to the CSG. The challenge is that both the Citrix App Server (that's providing the ICA session on 1494) and the CSG have to coordinate through a Secure Ticket Authority (STA). That means that my code needs to talk to the STA as it creates the ICA file because STA holds a ticket that the CSG needs embedded into the ICA file. Confusing? Sure! But it's much more secure. The pre-CSG code looks like this: AppLaunchInfo launchInfo = (AppLaunchInfo)userContext.launchApp(appID, new AppLaunchParams(ClientType.ICA_30)); ICAFile icaFile = userContext.convertToICAFile(launchInfo, null, null); I tried to the SSLEnabled information to the ICA generation, but it was not enough. here's that code: launchInfo.setSSLEnabled(true); launchInfo.setSSLAddress(new ServiceAddress("CSG URL", 443)); Now, it looks like I need to register the STA when I configure my farm: ConnectionRoutingPolicy policy = config.getDMZRoutingPolicy(); policy.getRules().clear(); //Set the Secure Ticketing Authorities (STAs). In the Windows XP world, there are packages available, like easyPHP, wampserver, uniformserver, that enable you to have a local webserver complete with php, mysql configured via an automatic installer. Really handy. I need the same on my new mac. I know mac os x comes with a local webserver. Is this already with php, mysql preinstalled? I'd like to have you guys advise on the easiest way to have this local lamp so that i can continue developing on this nice and shiny machine. thanks!

Another client service consumes this remote object. The client is calling the remote object every .5 second using a timer (polling) (for testing) If the server service is stopped, so the remote object is not available, memory useage for the client service keeps increasing...... I have overwritten InitialLifetimeService to return a null public override Object InitializeLifetimeService() { return null; } If a remote object is not available does .net queue all the call requests to this object??? untill all the memory is consumed? How can I dected if the remote object is not available and stop trying to call the remote method?

  • Is there a way to make a Google Web Toolkit (GWT) Button look like a HTML Hyperlink?

    I plan on appending some comments onto a text, to do that, first, I need the concerned text to act like a button for me to launch a popup, which in turn shows the comment. For that to happen, I need to make that concerned text to act like a button in GWT, but due to some aesthetic reasons I don't want it to look like a normal GWT Button, instead, I prefer it to look like any normal HTML hyper-link, which upon clicking it, acts exactly like a GWT Button which in turn showing the comment in the pop up. So is there a way to make a GWT Button appear more like a html hyper-link? Or, at the minimum, would it be possible to convert the concerned text to .JPG for it to be inserted into a Image Button in GWT?

    I'm trying to request a HTTP resource that requires basic authorization headers from within an Adobe AIR application. I've tried manually adding the headers to the request, as well as using the setRemoteCredentials() method to set them, to no avail.   • making urllib request in Python from the client side

    Hi Guys, I've written a Python application that makes web requests using the urllib2 library after which it scrapes the data. I could deploy this as a web application which means all urllib2 requests go through my web-server. This leads to the danger of the server's IP being banned due to the high number of web requests for many users. The other option is to create an desktop application which I don't want to do. Is there any way I could deploy my application so that I can get my web-requests through the client side. One way was to use Jython to create an applet but I've read that Java applets can only make web-requests to the server it is deployed on and the only way to to circumvent this is to create a server side proxy which leads us back to the problem of the server's ip getting banned. This might sounds sound like and impossible situation and I'll probably end up creating a desktop application but I thought I'd ask if anyone knew of an alternate solution. Thanks.

  • Why can't I install MVC (1 or 2) with Visual Web Developer Express 2008 RC1?

    Hi all, I have installed VWD 2010 Express and love MVC2. I have an existing ASP.NET 3.5 website that I'd like to redevelop with ASP.NET MVC2 under VWD 2008 with the 3.5 framework (the host only supports .Net 3.5, and Express 2010 doesn't support targeting of .Net framework versions) I am however unable to install MVC2 with VWD 2008. The installer (for 2008 SP1) says it has installed, but the MVC project templates don't show up when I create a new project. I also had this problem originally with MVC1 which is why I gave up at some point and just created it as a normal ASP.NET website. I tried uninstalling and installing VWD 2008, and then installing MVC2, but this didn't solve the problem. Does anyone know why this problem occurs, or how to solve it? Or is there a way to add these templates and the tooling manually?

I've gone from trying to include it in an existing site to stripping it right back to a very basic form and it's still not functioning. I think I've exhausted all the "Try this..." options I can find, everything from adding in [ScriptMethod] to changing things in Web.Config. Is there anything obviously wrong with this code? Only other thing that may be having an effect is in Global.asax I do a Context.RewritePath to rewrite URLs - does this have any effect on AJAX? Thanks for any help you can give.

    First, my use case: I'm trying to use YQL's built in XPATH capabilities to scrape content from Yahoo! Fantasy Sports. It uses some sort of cookie-based authentication scheme. Basically, the sequence is: 1) Do an HTTP GET on the Yahoo! Login page 2) Parse the hidden inputs from the response and do an HTTP PUT with your Yahoo! Login on the form URL 3) Use the cookies returned from step 2 to GET any of the Fantasy Sports! websites that you have access to My question is, does YQL support doing this to scrape data? The only authentication based examples I've seen use OAuth, but I haven't seen any examples of using YQL to parse websites with cookie-based authentication schemes

  • How do you get the footer to stay at the bottom of a Web page?

    I have a simple 2-column layout with a footer that clears both the right and left div in my markup. My problem is that I can't get the footer to stay at the bottom of the page in all browsers. It works if the content pushes the footer down, but that's not always the case. Update: It's not working properly in Firefox. I'm seeing a strip of background color below the footer when there's not enough content on the page to push the footer all the way down to the bottom of the browser window. Unfortunately, this is the default state of the page.

    I am having an issue calling a RESTful service from my client code. I have written the RESTful service using CXF/Jackson, deployed to localhost, and tested using RESTClient successfully. However, when I attempt to call this service from Java Script, I get the error below on the server side: Caused by: org.codehaus.jackson.JsonParseException: Unexpected character ('m' (code 109)): expected a valid value (number, String, array, object, 'true', 'false' or 'null') I have copied the client side code below. To make sure it has nothing to do with the JSON data itself, I used a valid JSON string (which works using RESTClient, JSON.parse() method, and JSONLint) in the vars 'json' (string) and 'jsonData' (JSON). This profile page is located at: User/Profile/{userID} Now, I imagine in order to prevent access to this page by other users, you could structure your UserController class's Profile function to check the current session's identity: HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.Name If the id matches the one in the url, then you proceed. Otherwise you redirect to some sort of error page. My question is how do you unit test something like this? I'm guessing that you need to use some sort of dependency injection instead of the HttpContext in the controller to do the check on, but I am unclear what the best way to do that is. Any advice would be helpful.
