  • Java mouse motion anywhere on screen

    I'm sure this is possible but all my searching is coming up blank. In Java is it possible to register for a mouse motion event outside of a Java app? So if the mouse pointer moves anywhere on the screen I get a call back. An approximation is possible with polling MouseInfo.getPointerInfo but there must be a better way. Thanks

    i have a rails app which makes heavy use of activeresource and httparty to make api calls. Is there any library/extension to log the requests and parse them, so that log analysis becomes easier and automated. RailsLogAnalyser is good but what about extra calls, what are the conventions? Something like a opensource/self-hosted alternative to newrelic, but with extensions to plug in your own logging.

  • Combine two content encodings sections in a single page

    I developed a web application that allows users to modify existing web pages. When a user type a url of an existing web page, I read the content of this page and using an ajax call, i display the content in a div inside my web application. Now my problem is that often the content encoding of the existing web page is different than my web app (I use utf-8) Is there a way to load content using an ajax call with different content encoding than the one of the main page?   • How can I simply change the Timezone Offset with Zend_Date?

    I'm using Zend_Date to manage dates/times in a scheduling app. The only way I'm able to determine the user's Timezone is via Javascript which only gives a Timezone Offset. Zend_Date only seems to take Timezones in the 'America/New_York' format. Is there a way to get the users timezone in this format or set the Timezone Offset with Zend_Date? Thanks!

    Hi all, I am writing an iPad app that downloads a rather large .csv file and parses the file into objects stored in Core Data. The program keeps crashing, and I've run it along with the Allocations performance tool and can see that it's eating up memory.     I have an app with a tab bar, and nav controllers in each tab. When user shakes the device, a UIImageView appears as a child view in the nav controller. But the UIImageView must contain a special image, depending on the device's current orientation. If I write just - (void)willAnimateRotationToInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation) if (interfaceOrientation == UIInterfaceOrientationPortrait|| interfaceOrientation == UIInterfaceOrientationPortraitUpsideDown) { //Code } else if (interfaceOrientation == UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeRight||interfaceOrientation == UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeLeft) { //Code } } The view just goes crazy if user rotated the device before shaking. Is there a method to get iPhones current orientation?

I'm used to using the system.net/mailSettings approach, but as I understand it, that only allows one SMTP connection definition at a time, used by SmtpClient(). However, I need more of a connectionStrings-like approach, where I can pull a set of settings based on a key/name. Any recommendations? I'm open to skipping the tradintional SmtpClient/mailSettings approach, and I think will have to...

    like build in apple notes app, after you swipe to delete the selected row, it will select the nearest available row automatically. The logic should be: if row count 0 then if deleted_row == last row then select deleted_row_index-1 row else select deleted_row_index+1 row end end i have try to implement the above logic in the commitEditingStyle event, but the selection fail. the selectRowAtIndexPath logic just don't work in this event, if i apply it in a button, it works. any idea?

  • Debugging an httpmodule on the asp.net development server

    Hi, I want to integrate some http modules in my asp.net application (v 3.5, visual studio 2008) and I'm not sure how to debug or use such modules while debugging in the asp.net development server that fires when I run the web app. Do I need to include the module source in the solution or can I just drop the DLL into BIN? I'm from the 1.1 world and am not yet used to the asp.net development server.
