• Can you use PHP libcurl to pull files from server A to server B?

  Hi, cURL and libcurl let you do things you normally do with a browser, right? Like, as if you have a jini sit inside a server and fire up a browser and do stuff. Ok then. I need a script to sit on server B, and click on download links on a server A and download files (from server A to server B). I am new to curl, and not sure if all I need is to issue a simple get or something else. I know that Content-disposition header forces the browser to save the document. Does it have the same effect on libcurl too? If it does, I'll make my serving script on server A send that header, and then serve the file. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

• Minimum needs to Deploy SQL Server Integration Services 2008

  Hi, I would like to run SSIS 2008 packages on a server that does not have SQL Server 2008 installed on it. I have a simple package to test the concept, but it fails to execute. The return code is 9020 which I have not seen listed as a return code elsewhere. I have copied the following files to the test server that does not have SQL Server 2008 installed on it: SelfContainedSample.dtsConfig Package.dtsx DTExec.exe I am attempting to run the package using a batch file. The line in the batch file that runs the package is: "%dtexecloc%\dtexec.exe" /FILE "%packagefolder%\Package.dtsx" /CONFIGFILE "%configfolder\SelfContainedSample.dtsConfig" /CHECKPOINTING OFF /REPORTING E %logfile% set rc=%errorlevel% I am wondering if there are other requirements that need to be satified to run an SSIS 2008 package on a server that does not have SQL Server 2008 on it? .NET Runtime? • Howto monitor traffic between IIS and MSSQL

  Hello @all, i try to check how much traffic flows between MSSQL Server and IIS Server in different Locations. There are 1 ipcop in every Location and i download the tcpdump file from one Firewall and search for DST=ipmssql and SRC=ipIIS but i did not find the ip from the Database Server. But there are traffic between both. Any suggestions why i did not find the IP Adress from the MSSQL Server? Is this an configuration failure in IPCop or is the Traffic between ISS and MSSQL so strange :-) Regards Rene

• Naming selenium grid nodes. Spawning a specific node

  I'm trying to implement a kind of default queues in selenium hub. There is a possibility to specify node's name (actually its environment, smth like "firefox on ubuntu" or "chrome on windows"). Selenium grid itself has a default queue, it works according to 'First In, First Out' principle. But I want to prioritize some of my tasks given to selenium server. I have no possibility to introduce custom queue (seems like there is no API for that), that's why I decided to separate queue's logic from selenium server. I'll only call a specific node with specific name (environment) for example "firefox important node" or smth like that. So, I want to know how to directly tell selenium which node to use for my task? And generally, am I thinking in a right way? • Can't type after "ruby script/server" in InstantRails

  I'm a newb to RoR. I'm using the book "Agile Web Development with Rails" to get started on Windows 7. In the command window, I run the following. >rails demo >cd demo >ruby script/server At this point, it boots the Mongrel server: => Booting Mongrel => Rails 2.3.5 application starting on http://0.0.0.0:3000 => Call with -d to detach => Ctrl-C to shutdown server The book goes on to tell me to run ruby script/generate controller Say but, I cannot Ctrl-C -- or type anything for that matter -- after booting the Mongrel server. Am I supposed to create the new controller in another instance of the InstantRails command window? Right now, the only way I can stop the server is closing the window in which I started the server! Please let me know if you need any other details. tia.

  I am attempting to evaluate TFS 2012 for our organization but cannot seem to get past the first step of configuring the server using the "Standard Single Server" configuration wizard. In particular, in the service account selection screen, I am warned that: Reporting services are not installed on this computer. You need to install Reporting Services to complete TFS installation with this wizard. This is disheartening because the way I understand it, this should have been installed with the default TFS installation (in fact, no installation options are even provided) and this is a fresh and up-to-date Windows Server 2008 VM. I know I could install SQL Server 2008 or 2012 from MSDN, but shouldn't this work "out of the box?" I'd really rather use the default, small, integrated version of SQL Server that comes with TFS 2012 rather than rolling my own. If it matters, this server is joined to a domain and I am running TFS installation wizard as a domain administrator.

  I am using Netbean 6.7.1 I just update my google app engine plugin in netbean with Netbean auto update. I found out there is new app engine SDK. So i want to update my google app engine server to point to appengine-java-sdk-1.3.2 After I download appengine-java-sdk-1.3.2.zip. I unzip it. Then at Netbean: I already have a Google App Engine server under Services - Server. I can't find anyway to point it to the newly installed sdk folder. So I deleted the existing "Google App Engine" server & try to add a new one. Server - Add Server - Google App Engine - at "Installation Location", I point it to google app engine folder, which is "C:\appengine-java-sdk-1.3.2", it show this message at bottom "C:\appengine-java-sdk-1.3.2" & don't allow me to continue. May I know how to solve this? thanks!

  How can I obtain the server IP address that was used to connect to a service? The server has multiple IP addresses and I need to know which one the client is connected to. So far I only found that OperationContext.Current.EndpointDispatcher.EndpointAddress and OperationContext.Current.Channel.LocalAddress contain the address from .config (e.g. localhost) OperationContext.Current.IncomingMessageProperties.Via contains the Url that the client used to connect to the server (but this might just be a name from the clients hosts file). EDIT - Sorry, I wasn't being clear enough: The server needs to know which of its IP addresses were used by the client. E.g. the server has the addresses 10.0.0.1 and 10.0.0.2. when processing the request the server service needs to know if 10.0.0.1 or 10.0.0.2 was used by the client to connect to it.

  I have a script that uses ftp_connect() among other FTP PHP functions for uploading a file. ftp_connect() works when executed on my local development server for connecting to a remote FTP server. The same script, when executed on the remote server does not work for connecting to the exact same FTP server. Could somebody please point me in the right direction? Thanks!   In the Page_Load method I create a couple of controls, based on various conditions. I would like to register server side code with those controls. However, for the last part I need to declare my controls as server controls. This is normally done by runat=server, but I don't know how to set this attribute in the C# code. myControl.Attributes.Add("runat", "server") does not do the trick. This one works, meaning that the "test" method is called when I click on it: <asp:LinkButton ID="LinkButton1" runat="server" OnClick="test">testtext</asp:LinkButton> This one does not work: LinkButton lb = new LinkButton(); lb.ID = "LinkButton1"; lb.OnClientClick = "test"; lb.Text = "testtext"; lb.Attributes.Add("runat", "server"); I can click on it, and the page is loaded, but the test-method is not called. • Best approach to send data from a server to an Android device

  I am developing an Android app that needs to communicate bi-directionally with a server. By that, I mean either the server or the device can send a message at any time, with an arbitrary amount of time in between messages. Sending data from the device to the server is a common and I think well understood task, but I'm not as sure what the best approach is to go in the opposite direction from the server to the device. I think having the device periodically poll the server may be a bad idea due to latency and the drain on the battery, but I'd be willing to consider this option. My plan at the moment is to send text messages from the server via an email-to-SMS bridge, and to have my app run a service to receive and handle these messages. The question I have is if there are any best practices for this scenario, and if using text messages has some downsides that I have failed to consider. For the sake of this question, I want to assume that users have an unlimited text data plan, so paying per text won't be an issue.

Server can be on any technology It should be secure so an underlying SSL stream is needed What are my options. Any obvious caveats etc I should be aware of To my mind the simplest solution is to open a tcp\ip connection over SSL to the server and send n packets each of size M bytes and then have the server append the chunks to the file and finally send an EOF packet as well IS this horrible. Will the perf suck on the server with all these disk writes What are any other clever options.   My search server 2008 express crawls 3 sharepoint servers and 1 windows file server. The file server and 2 other sharepoint server crawl all content and master and sub sites just fine. On the 3rd sharepoint server the default site crawl just fine...The second web application site (content database) crawls the top site and crawls all sub sites BUT The subsites get the below error in the crawl log. Deleted by the gatherer (The start address or content source that contained this item was deleted and hence this item was deleted.) I have checked the security rights (OK) I have checked the setting to crawl a SharePoint site (if wrong the top site would not work)... ???? Last part = I can crawl 3 other sharepoint sites (web applications/other content databases) on the same server...It seems to be just this one site...

She is able to login to her Windows box fine with her new user name, but when she tries to run the client side of our application, the server gets her old user name in the "userName" variable in the code above, which messes up our authentication (since her old user name is no longer in our database). Another piece of info: This only happens when she connects to the server code on the Production server. We have the same server code running on a QA server, and it does not have this issue (the QA server code gets her correct (new) user name) Any ideas what could be going on?

• Access is denied trying to access a sMetabasePath on a SMTP Server from a different Web Server

  I have written a C# dot net application that updates the SMTP relay restriction list in IIS 6. Running the application locally works great and I can add/remove IPs/DNS from the relay restriction list without any problem. Now I need to do the same for a SMTP server that is not running on the same webserver that I have the application running. So I have the web application on webserver A and the SMTP server on webserver/smtp server B. My app pool is running under a domain user and I have given the same user rights to the SMTP server under the security tab in the SMTP Virtual Server property window. I thought I could simply change the sMetabasePath from "IIS://localhost/smtpsvc/1" to "IIS://10.171.243.134/smtpsvc/1" and everything would just work but I get an "Access is denied" error. So I must have to do something else to get this to work. I even gave the domain user full admin rights on the SMTP server to no avail. Any ideas

  I'm creating an app which connects to server and sends some text. If network (both wifi or 3g) is there, it will immediately send the text to server. But if there is no network, it keeps on polling for server connection every 5 minutes. All this part is working fine. But when using iPhone 4 device, i want the app to check for server connection even when app goes into background. So, when app goes to background and when network comes back, it must be able to send the text to server. How can I achieve it? I've seen some apps where they say that the app will upload photos to server even in background. How will they do it?

I found out that only users in the sudoers list access without a problem only they can't download the files, but users that are not sudoers cannot even access their homes from a client but they can access by a web browser using the FTP protocol and they can only access their home directories (as intented) Im running a fedora 14 on my server and my vsftpd.conf looks like this: # Example config file /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf # # The default compiled in settings are fairly paranoid.
