    In Socket Programming, how will a Unix thread receive a Socket CLOSE event from a client if connection is closed? Are there any API's which will notify the unix thread about the CLOSE event received? As in Windows we have WSAEnumNetworkEvents API which gets the event notification for a specified socket descriptor. What will be the equivalent API used in the Unix socket programing? Please provide the help for the query.

In my php script I basically query the companies which are in industry "a" and then insert a row into a separate table with their details such as companyId , companyName etc is that a type of Relational database ? I have explained it in a simple way so we don't get confused what I am trying to say.

    I have a polymorphic association (Class Table Inheritance) and I need use DQL to query entities of a specific child class wich can be done using "x INSTANCE OF Entity" in WHERE clause. Now I need to put conditions specific for that child class but I get this error: "Class Person has no association named student_field_1" Person = Parent Class Employee = Child class Student = Child class is there any way yo cast of somehow tell Doctrine that the Person is actually a Student and to allow me to put Student fields in the WHERE?

    Is there a way to determine what kind of data plan a device has so an app provides a less rich experience if a data plan is not available? I imagine the connector factory would still be able to return me an HTTPConnection but it would cost the user serious money for lots of data, and I'd like to be nice and prevent that. I thought there would be a way to query device capabilities in the MIDP API, but maybe it's in CLDC?

    Hello, another issue where I seem to have found an solution for ObjC but not MonoTouch. I want a NSUrl from an URL (as string). The string may contain whitespace and backslashes. Why is NSUrl returning null for such string, even though these are valid urls in a browser? For example: NSUrl foo = NSUrl.FromString(@"http://google.com/search?\query"); foo == null Any suggestions?

The problem is that this method can only return a List, and i need to refer to the colums by their index. Any chance i could do like jdbc and refer to the columns by their sql name insted of their index? thanks

(The animation actually just brings the box into larger view, and then sliding it back in again) $('#box').animate({'right':'-184px'}, 300, 'easeOutBounce'); $('#box').animate({'right':'-194px'}, 150, 'easeOutExpo'); How can I make this animation repeat every 4 seconds until the user clicks on $('#box')?     I wrote a T-SQL query which includes a test for valid EmployeeNo. If the EmployeeNo is not valid, I do the following: RAISERROR(5005, 10, 1, N'Invalid Employee No') return @@Error Back in VB.Net I test the sql exception and found that when the Employee No is invalid the error.number is not 5005 as I would expect, but 2732. What is the explanation for this? Thank you.

    I'm attempting to use the new Graph API Facebook recently released, but I can't seem to get it to work correctly. I've gone through the steps, and after the /authorize call, I receive an access_token: access_token=109002049121898|nhKwSTJVPbUZ5JYyIH3opCBQMf8.
