  • FQL from ASP.NET

    Hey, What's the easiest way to perform an FQL query from an ASP.NET application? Do I have to download the Facebook Developer Toolkit (which I only want to use as a last resort), or is there an easier way (maybe through javascript)? I'm not doing any heavy queries if that makes a difference. (I simply want to get the user's profile picture URL from my site. It might not even need FQL?) Thanks for any suggestions

    hello i have 2 tables: tblItems ID | orderID | productID 1 1 2 2 1 2 3 2 1 4 3 2 tblProducts productID | productName 1 ABC 2 DEF im attempting to find the most popular Product based on whats in "tblItems", and display the product Name and the number of times it appears in the tblItems table. i can get mysql to count up the total like: $sql="SELECT COUNT(productID) AS CountProductID FROM tblItems"; but i can't figure out how to join the products table on..if i try LEFT JOIN the query goes horribly wrong hopefully thats not too confusing..thankss

    I've been creating a V3 Google map based on this example from Mike Williams http://www.geocodezip.com/v3_MW_example_map3.html I've run into a bit of a problem though. If I have no parameters in my URL then I get the error "id is undefined idmarkers [id.toLowerCase()] = marker;" in Firebug and only one marker will show up. If I have a parameter (?id=105 for example) then all the sidebar links say 105 (or whatever the parameter in the URL was) instead of their respective label as listed in the XML file and a random infowindow will be opened instead of the window for the id in the URL. 'QuerySet' object has no attribute 'name' 1.How can this be resolved. 2.Also how to query for only one field instead of selecting all like select name from info.

    I have a table a with a list of id's, and a user-defined function foo(id) that takes the id and returns a VARCHAR(20). What I am trying to do is: SELECT id, foo(id) AS 'text field' FROM a However, instead of calling the function for each ID number, like I desired, the text comes back the same for every row. I have tested the foo() function manually with the returned ID's and it does not have that problem, so I realize I must not understand something about the evaluation of the query.

I would like this http://website.tld/Folder1/Folder2/Folder3/Folder4/Folder5/File.exten to be transformed into http://website.tld/Folder4/File.exten Folder4 and Folder5 are multiple directories, while Folder 1-3 stay the same.     I have a object with a Nhibernate mapping that has a surrogate ID and a natual ID. Since of cource the natural ID is uniquely constrained a insert query will fail if the object is already in the database with the same natural ID. My solution for this has been to manually check to see if natural IDs are in the database before trying to insert. Is there a way to specify Nhibernate to do a select before insert on natural Id's/Unique Constraints?
