  • Installation error: INSTALL_FAILED_OLDER_SDK in eclipse

    - by user3014909
    I have an unexpe`ted problem with my Android project. I have a real android device with ice_cream sandwich installed. My app was working fine during the development but after I added a class to the project, I got an error: Installation error: INSTALL_FAILED_OLDER_SDK The problem is that everything is good in the manifest file. The minSdkversion is 8. Here is my manifest file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <manifest xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" package="zabolotnii.pavel.timer" android:versionCode="1" android:versionName="1.0" > <uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="8" android:targetSdkVersion="18 " /> <application android:allowBackup="true" android:icon="@drawable/ic_launcher" android:label="@string/app_name" android:theme="@style/AppTheme" > <activity android:name="zabolotnii.pavel.timer.TimerActivity" android:label="@string/app_name" > <intent-filter> <action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" /> <category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" /> </intent-filter> </activity> </application> </manifest> I don't know, if there is any need to attach the new class ,but I didn't any changes to other code that should led to this error: package zabolotnii.pavel.timer; • Android ListView style

    - by xger86x
    Hi, I have a question about list views. I hope someone knows the solution, because I have been trying to solve this problem all weekend. I have a custom list view in which every row have a custom .xml (item_row.xml) with a set color background for the row item. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="70dip" android:orientation="vertical" android:background="@drawable/list_bg"> The problem is that when I try to make a selector for the list. I want two things: When the item is focused, the typical orange rectangle should appear over it, and the same When the item is pressed. I have proved with a selector and a custom style but all I get is or the selector doesn't appear or the selector covering the item so I can't see it. If anyone could help me with finding the right code I would be very grateful. Thanks

  • sqllite and populating list view, android

    - by Rob Bushway
    I am populating a text and list view from a sqllite database. The data is populating from the cursor correctly (I see the list filling with text rows), but I'm not able to see the actual text in the rows - all I see are empty rows. For the life of me, I can't figure out what I'm not able to see the data in the text rows. My layouts: Tab layout: list layout: row layout: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> / My topics activity package com.gotquestions.gqapp; import com.gotquestions.gqapp.R.layout; import android.R; import android.app.ListActivity; import android.database.Cursor; import android.database.SQLException; import android.os.Bundle; import android.widget.SimpleCursorAdapter; public class TopicsActivity extends ListActivity { private DataBaseHelper myDbHelper; public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); // DataBaseHelper myDbHelper = new DataBaseHelper(this); myDbHelper = new DataBaseHelper(this); //test try { myDbHelper.openDataBase(); }catch(SQLException sqle){ throw sqle; } setContentView(layout.list_layout); Cursor c = myDbHelper.fetchAllTopics(); startManagingCursor(c); String[] from = new String[] { DataBaseHelper.KEY_TITLE }; int[] to = new int[] { R.id.text1 }; // Now create an array adapter and set it to display using our row SimpleCursorAdapter notes = new SimpleCursorAdapter(this, layout.notes_row, c, from, to); setListAdapter(notes); myDbHelper.close(); } } My database helper: package com.gotquestions.gqapp; import java.io.FileOutputStream; import java.io.IOException; import java.io.InputStream; import java.io.OutputStream; import android.content.Context; import android.database.Cursor; import android.database.SQLException; import android.database.sqlite.SQLiteDatabase; import android.database.sqlite.SQLiteException; import android.database.sqlite.SQLiteOpenHelper; import android.util.Log; public class DataBaseHelper extends SQLiteOpenHelper{ //The Android's default system path of your application database. private static String DB_PATH = "/data/data/com.gotquestions.gqapp/databases/"; private static String DB_NAME = "gotquestions_database.mp3"; public static final String KEY_TITLE = "topic_title"; public static final String KEY_ARTICLE_TITLE = "article_title"; public static final String KEY_ROWID = "_id"; private static final String TAG = null; private SQLiteDatabase myDataBase; // private final Context myContext; /** * Constructor * Takes and keeps a reference of the passed context in order to access to the application assets and resources. * @param context */ public DataBaseHelper(Context context) { super(context, DB_NAME, null, 1); this.myContext = context; } /** * Creates a empty database on the system and rewrites it with your own database. * */ public void createDataBase() throws IOException{ boolean dbExist = checkDataBase(); if(dbExist){ //do nothing - database already exist }else{ //By calling this method and empty database will be created into the default system path //of your application so we are gonna be able to overwrite that database with our database. this.getReadableDatabase(); try { copyDataBase(); } catch (IOException e) { throw new Error("Error copying database"); } } } /** * Check if the database already exist to avoid re-copying the file each time you open the application. * @return true if it exists, false if it doesn't */ private boolean checkDataBase(){ SQLiteDatabase checkDB = null; try{ String myPath = DB_PATH + DB_NAME; checkDB = SQLiteDatabase.openDatabase(myPath, null, SQLiteDatabase.OPEN_READONLY); }catch(SQLiteException e){ //database does't exist yet. } if(checkDB != null){ checkDB.close(); } return checkDB != null ? • Android vertical line xml

    - by Kaspa
    Hello, I'm trying to figure out how to define a verical line (1px thick) to be used as a drawable. to make a horizontal one, it's pretty straightforward: <shape xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:shape="line"> <stroke android:width="1dp" android:color="#0000FF"/> <size android:height="50dp" /> </shape> The question is, how to make this line vertical? Yes, there are workarounds, such as drawing a rectangle shape 1px thick, but that complicates the drawable xml, if it consists of multiple <item> elements. Anyone had any chance with this?

  • Android draw using SurfaceView and Thread

    - by Morten Høgseth
    I am trying to draw a ball to my screen using 3 classes. I have read a little about this and I found a code snippet that works using the 3 classes on one page, Playing with graphics in Android I altered the code so that I have a ball that is moving and shifts direction when hitting the wall like the picture below (this is using the code in the link). Now I like to separate the classes into 3 different pages for not making everything so crowded, everything is set up the same way. Here are the 3 classes I have. BallActivity.java Ball.java BallThread.java package com.brick.breaker; import android.app.Activity; import android.os.Bundle; import android.view.Window; import android.view.WindowManager; public class BallActivity extends Activity { private Ball ball; @Override protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); requestWindowFeature(Window.FEATURE_NO_TITLE); getWindow().setFlags(WindowManager.LayoutParams.FLAG_FULLSCREEN,WindowManager.LayoutParams.FLAG_FULLSCREEN); ball = new Ball(this); setContentView(ball); } @Override protected void onPause() { // TODO Auto-generated method stub super.onPause(); setContentView(null); ball = null; finish(); } } package com.brick.breaker; import android.content.Context; import android.graphics.Bitmap; import android.graphics.BitmapFactory; import android.graphics.Canvas; import android.view.SurfaceHolder; import android.view.SurfaceView; public class Ball extends SurfaceView implements SurfaceHolder.Callback { private BallThread ballThread = null; private Bitmap bitmap; private float x, y; private float vx, vy; public Ball(Context context) { super(context); // TODO Auto-generated constructor stub bitmap = BitmapFactory.decodeResource(getResources(), R.drawable.ball); x = 50.0f; y = 50.0f; vx = 10.0f; vy = 10.0f; getHolder().addCallback(this); ballThread = new BallThread(getHolder(), this); } protected void onDraw(Canvas canvas) { update(canvas); canvas.drawBitmap(bitmap, x, y, null); } public void update(Canvas canvas) { checkCollisions(canvas); x += vx; y += vy; } public void checkCollisions(Canvas canvas) { if(x - vx < 0) { vx = Math.abs(vx); } else if(x + vx > canvas.getWidth() - getBitmapWidth()) { vx = -Math.abs(vx); } if(y - vy < 0) { vy = Math.abs(vy); } else if(y + vy > canvas.getHeight() - getBitmapHeight()) { vy = -Math.abs(vy); } } public int getBitmapWidth() { if(bitmap != null) { return bitmap.getWidth(); } else { return 0; } } public int getBitmapHeight() { if(bitmap != null) { return bitmap.getHeight(); } else { return 0; } } public void surfaceChanged(SurfaceHolder holder, int format, int width, int height) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub } public void surfaceCreated(SurfaceHolder holder) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub ballThread.setRunnable(true); ballThread.start(); } public void surfaceDestroyed(SurfaceHolder holder) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub boolean retry = true; ballThread.setRunnable(false); while(retry) { try { ballThread.join(); retry = false; } catch(InterruptedException ie) { //Try again and again and again } break; } ballThread = null; } } package com.brick.breaker; import android.graphics.Canvas; import android.view.SurfaceHolder; public class BallThread extends Thread { private SurfaceHolder sh; private Ball ball; private Canvas canvas; private boolean run = false; public BallThread(SurfaceHolder _holder,Ball _ball) { sh = _holder; ball = _ball; } public void setRunnable(boolean _run) { run = _run; } public void run() { while(run) { canvas = null; try { canvas = sh.lockCanvas(null); synchronized(sh) { ball.onDraw(canvas); } } finally { if(canvas != null) { sh.unlockCanvasAndPost(canvas); } } } } public Canvas getCanvas() { if(canvas != null) { return canvas; } else { return null; } } } Here is a picture that shows the outcome of these classes. I've tried to figure this out but since I am pretty new to Android development I thought I could ask for help. Does any one know what is causing the ball to be draw like that? The code is pretty much the same as the one in the link and I have tried to experiment to find a solution but no luck. Thx in advance for any help=)

  • ADT will not allow creation of Android Activity

    - by NewShelbyWoo
    I installed the ADT bundle from http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html yesterday, and I was following a basic Hello World tutorial. I created a new Android Application Project with a Blank Activity named MainActivity. The resulting project has an empty src folder and empty res\layout folder. There is a R.java file in the gen folder but it has no reference to MainActivity. This is what the SDK manager says I have installed Android SDK Tools v 22.6 Android SDK Platform-tools v 19.0.1 Android SDK Build-tools v 19 SDK Platform v 3 ARM EABI v7a System Image v 2 Android Support Library v 19.0.1 Google USB Driver v 9 I also tried manually creating an activity by right clicking the src folder and going to Android Activity, but when I hit Finish on the creation wizard, nothing happens. Does anyone have any clues as to what's going on? Did I miss a key component to install or something?

  • Circular gradient in android

    Im trying to make a gradient that emits from the middle of the screen in white, and turns to black as it moves toward the edges of the screen. As I make a "normal" gradient like this, I have been experimenting with different shapes: <shape xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:shape="rectangle"> <gradient android:startColor="#E9E9E9" android:endColor="#D4D4D4" android:angle="270"/> </shape> When using the "oval"-shape I at least got a round shape, but there were no gradient effect. How can I achieve this? Cheers,

  • Android internet connectivity check problem

    Hello, I'm new to Android development and working on an Android application that requires the phone to be connected to the internet, through either Wifi, EDGE or 3G. This is the code that I'm using: public static boolean isConnected() { ConnectivityManager cm = (ConnectivityManager) getSystemService(Context.CONNECTIVITY_SERVICE); return cm.getActiveNetworkInfo().isConnectedOrConnecting(); } I've also set these permissions in the manifest file: <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" /> <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE" /> This works fine in the emulator running version 1.5 of Android when 3G is enabled, but it crashes when I disable the 3G connection. My application throws a null pointer exception when I call isConnectedOrConnecting(). Hope that anyone knows the solution to this. Thanks in advance!

However, when I install the apk file, it says it also needs access to read the phone state and identity, and access to storage. It doesn't need access to either, and the only permissions that are in the mainfest are: <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" /> <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION" /> <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION" /> Any ideas on why this is happening? • How to get feedback on mobile application

    - by Jason Crosby
    I am relatively new to programming. I have been programming with Java and Android for about 2 years now and just recently released my first app to the Google Play app store. I have passed the word on to everyone I know and posted a few times on Facebook about it. But I am not really seeing anyone install them. I love to code I'm not looking to have the next big time app, but it would be nice to get some installs and feedback/ratings so I can get an idea of how well its doing and if there are any fixes or improvements I can make. I thought about doing an AdMob campaign a couple times here and there at about $10 to $20 per day. But I'm not sure if that will generate any kind of worthwhile feedback. What other things could I be doing in order to get some feedback on my application? Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions.

  • Trial/Free & Full Version VS. Free App + In-app billing?

    - by SERPRO
    I'm just wondering what would be the best strategy to publish an application on the Android Market. If you have a free and paid version you have two codes to update (I know it will be 99% the same but still) and besides all the popular paid apps are quite easy to find for "free" in "alternative" markets. Also if you have any stored data in the trial/free version you lose it when you buy the full version.. On the other hand if you put a free application but inside you allow the user to unlock options (remove ads/more settings/etc...) you only have to worry about one code. I don't know the drawbacks of that strategy and how easy/hard is to hack that to get all the options for "free".

Now the problem is, the app is specially made for offline use, so pretty much nobody will ever get to see one. The app is free to download, but I would still like to make a few cents out of it. It currently has around 300, which I guess will look at it about twice per workday. Any help on how to make some money with this free, offline app?

  • Android Google-Shopping API force closes while parsing

    - by Sam Jackson
    I'm trying to send a request to the Google-Shopping API with the following static method which I think is working: public static String GET_TITLE(String url) throws JSONException { InputStream is = null; String result = ""; JSONObject jArray = null; // http post try { HttpClient httpclient = new DefaultHttpClient(); HttpPost httppost = new HttpPost(url); HttpResponse response = httpclient.execute(httppost); HttpEntity entity = response.getEntity(); is = entity.getContent(); } catch(Exception e) { Log.e("log_tag", "Error in http connection "+e.toString()); } The URL I'm passing is this BTW: https://www.googleapis.com/shopping/search/v1/public/products/country=US&q=shirts&alt=json &rankBy=relevancy&key=AIzaSyDRKgGmJrdG6pV6DIg2m-nmIbXydxvpjww Next I try to parse this response (where I think the problem comes in) in the same method: try { jArray = new JSONObject(result); } catch(JSONException e){ Log.e("log_tag", "Error parsing data "+e.toString()); } JSONObject itemObject = jArray.getJSONObject("items"); JSONObject productObject = itemObject.getJSONObject("product"); String attributeGoogleId = productObject.getString("googleId"); String attributeProviderId = productObject.getString("providerId"); String attributeTitle = productObject.getString("title");*/ String attributePrice = productObject.getString("price"); JSONObject popupObject = productObject.getJSONObject("popup"); return attributeTitle; } This has been so frustrating, I know it should be simple but everywhere I look I just can't quite get it to work, I'm not exactly sure what the error is since I'm testing it on my HTC Desire because my emulator gives an 'invalid command-line parameter' error when starting, but that's a different issue, anyway, thanks in advance! EDIT: The first one makes it look like there's a problem with the URL, should I change it and see if it makes a difference? 04-01 12:09:05.142: ERROR/log_tag(24968): Error in http connection java.net.UnknownHostException: www.googleapis.com 04-01 12:09:05.142: ERROR/log_tag(24968): Error converting result java.lang.NullPointerException 04-01 12:09:05.142: ERROR/log_tag(24968): Error parsing data org.json.JSONException: End of input at character 0 of 04-01 12:09:05.142: DEBUG/AndroidRuntime(24968): Shutting down VM 04-01 12:09:05.142: WARN/dalvikvm(24968): threadid=1: thread exiting with uncaught exception (group=0x400259f8) 04-01 12:09:05.152: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(24968): FATAL EXCEPTION: main 04-01 12:09:05.152: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(24968): java.lang.RuntimeException: Failure delivering result ResultInfo{who=null, request=0, result=-1, data=Intent { act=com.google.zxing.client.android.SCAN flg=0x80000 (has extras) }} to activity {com.spectrum.stock/com.spectrum.stock.CaptureActivity}: java.lang.NullPointerException 04-01 12:09:05.152: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(24968): at android.app.ActivityThread.deliverResults(ActivityThread.java:3734) 04-01 12:09:05.152: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(24968): at android.app.ActivityThread.handleSendResult(ActivityThread.java:3776) 04-01 12:09:05.152: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(24968): at android.app.ActivityThread.access$2800(ActivityThread.java:135) 04-01 12:09:05.152: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(24968): at android.app.ActivityThread$H.handleMessage(ActivityThread.java:2166) 04-01 12:09:05.152: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(24968): at android.os.Handler.dispatchMessage(Handler.java:99) 04-01 12:09:05.152: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(24968): at android.os.Looper.loop(Looper.java:144) 04-01 12:09:05.152: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(24968): at android.app.ActivityThread.main(ActivityThread.java:4937) 04-01 12:09:05.152: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(24968): at java.lang.reflect.Method.invokeNative(Native Method) 04-01 12:09:05.152: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(24968): at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:521) 04-01 12:09:05.152: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(24968): at com.android.internal.os.ZygoteInit$MethodAndArgsCaller.run(ZygoteInit.java:868) 04-01 12:09:05.152: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(24968): at com.android.internal.os.ZygoteInit.main(ZygoteInit.java:626) 04-01 12:09:05.152: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(24968): at dalvik.system.NativeStart.main(Native Method) 04-01 12:09:05.152: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(24968): Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException 04-01 12:09:05.152: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(24968): at com.spectrum.stock.JSONResponse.GET_TITLE(JSONResponse.java:61) 04-01 12:09:05.152: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(24968): at com.spectrum.stock.CaptureActivity.onActivityResult(CaptureActivity.java:78) 04-01 12:09:05.152: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(24968): at android.app.Activity.dispatchActivityResult(Activity.java:3931) 04-01 12:09:05.152: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(24968): at android.app.ActivityThread.deliverResults(ActivityThread.java:3730) 04-01 12:09:05.152: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(24968): ... 11 more 04-01 12:09:05.162: WARN/ActivityManager(96): Force finishing activity com.spectrum.stock/.CaptureActivity

  • Android map performance with > 800 overlays of KML data

    - by span
    I have some a shape file which I have converted to a KML file that I wish to read coordinates from and then draw paths between the coordinates on a MapView. With the help of this great post: How to draw a path on a map using kml file? I have been able to read the the KML into an ArrayList of "Placemarks". This great blog post then showed how to take a list of GeoPoints and draw a path: http://djsolid.net/blog/android---draw-a-path-array-of-points-in-mapview The example in the above post only draws one path between some points however and since I have many more paths than that I am running into some performance problems. I'm currently adding a new RouteOverlay for each of the separate paths. This results in me having over 800 overlays when they have all been added. This has a performance hit and I would love some input on what I can do to improve it. Here are some options I have considered: Try to add all the points to a List which then can be passed into a class that will extend Overlay. In that new class perhaps it would be possible to add and draw the paths in a single Overlay layer? I'm not sure on how to implement this though since the paths are not always intersecting and they have different start and end points. At the moment I'm adding each path which has several points to it's own list and then I add that to an Overlay. That results in over 700 overlays... Simplify the KML or SHP. Instead of having over 700 different paths, perhaps there is someway to merge them into perhaps 100 paths or less? Since alot of paths are intersected at some point it should be possible to modify the original SHP file so that it merges all intersections. Since I have never worked with these kinds of files before I have not been able to find a way to do this in GQIS. If someone knows how to do this I would love for some input on that. Here is a link to the group of shape files if you are interested: http://danielkvist.net/cprg_bef_cbana_polyline.shp http://danielkvist.net/cprg_bef_cbana_polyline.shx http://danielkvist.net/cprg_bef_cbana_polyline.dbf http://danielkvist.net/cprg_bef_cbana_polyline.prj Anyway, here is the code I'm using to add the Overlays. • ListView setOnItemClickListener and setOnItemSelectedListener to store the Selected Item Index

    - by Christophe
    Hi all, I have read on this site that it is necessary to customize the setOnItemSelectedListener and setOnItemClickListener of a ListView if we want to know the Index of the SelectedItem (.getSelectedItemPosition()). So that is what I do but it does not stores the position of the SekectedItem, instead i have always -1... What I want to do is just to give the user a way to delete items from a list by selected and Item and Clicking a button. See the code below : listViewPeople.setOnItemClickListener(new ListView.OnItemClickListener() { @Override public void onItemClick(AdapterView<?> a, View v, int i, long l) { try { // Remembers the selected Index listViewPeopleId = listViewPeople.getSelectedItemPosition(); } catch(Exception e) { System.out.println("Nay, cannot get the selected index"); } } }); listViewPeople.setOnItemSelectedListener(new ListView.OnItemSelectedListener() { @Override public void onItemSelected(AdapterView<?> a, View v, int i, long l) { try { // Remembers the selected Index listViewPeopleId = listViewPeople.getSelectedItemPosition(); System.out.println("Yay, set the selected index " + listViewPeopleId); } catch(Exception e) { System.out.println("Nay, cannot get the selected index " + listViewPeopleId); } } @Override public void onNothingSelected(AdapterView<?> arg0) { try { // Remembers nothing selected listViewPeopleId = -1; System.out.println("Yay, set that nothing is selected " + listViewPeopleId); } catch(Exception e) { System.out.println("Nay, cannot set that nothing is selected " + listViewPeopleId); } } }); What's wrong?? Thank you for your help! Christophe

  • IllegalArgumentException: width and height must be > 0 during zoomOut in Google MapView

    - by Janusz
    I'm trying to zoom in on a Google MapView on step in the oncreateMethod of my Activity. Everytime I try to zoom the map via the mapController I get an IllegalArgumentException: 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to start activity ComponentInfo{com.innomos.couponimo.android.client/com.innomos.couponimo.android.client.ui.showstores.StoreMap}: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: width and height must be > 0 This Exception is thrown if I call the zoomOut or zoomIn function of MapController. Sadly the zoomIn function I'm using does not take any arguments. The onCreateMethod where I'm calling the zoom functions looks like this: mapView = (MapView) findViewById(R.id.map); mapView.setBuiltInZoomControls(true); MapController mapController = mapView.getController(); mapController.zoomIn(); I'm a little bit at loss here because I'm doing nothing special. The whole stacktrace is: 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to start activity ComponentInfo{com.innomos.couponimo.android.client/com.innomos.couponimo.android.client.ui.showstores.StoreMap}: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: width and height must be > 0 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): at android.app.ActivityThread.performLaunchActivity(ActivityThread.java:2401) 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): at android.app.ActivityThread.handleLaunchActivity(ActivityThread.java:2417) 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): at android.app.ActivityThread.access$2100(ActivityThread.java:116) 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): at android.app.ActivityThread$H.handleMessage(ActivityThread.java:1794) 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): at android.os.Handler.dispatchMessage(Handler.java:99) 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): at android.os.Looper.loop(Looper.java:123) 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): at android.app.ActivityThread.main(ActivityThread.java:4203) 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): at java.lang.reflect.Method.invokeNative(Native Method) 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:521) 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): at com.android.internal.os.ZygoteInit$MethodAndArgsCaller.run(ZygoteInit.java:791) 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): at com.android.internal.os.ZygoteInit.main(ZygoteInit.java:549) 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): at dalvik.system.NativeStart.main(Native Method) 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): Caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: width and height must be > 0 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): at android.graphics.Bitmap.nativeCreate(Native Method) 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): at android.graphics.Bitmap.createBitmap(Bitmap.java:468) 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): at com.google.android.maps.ZoomHelper.createSnapshot(ZoomHelper.java:305) 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): at com.google.android.maps.ZoomHelper.doZoom(ZoomHelper.java:137) 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): at com.google.android.maps.ZoomHelper.doZoom(ZoomHelper.java:126) 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): at com.google.android.maps.MapView.doZoom(MapView.java:1459) 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): at com.google.android.maps.MapView.doZoom(MapView.java:1468) 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): at com.google.android.maps.MapController.zoomIn(MapController.java:427) 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): at com.innomos.couponimo.android.client.ui.showstores.StoreMap.onCreate(StoreMap.java:58) 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): at android.app.Instrumentation.callActivityOnCreate(Instrumentation.java:1123) 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): at android.app.ActivityThread.performLaunchActivity(ActivityThread.java:2364) 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): ... 11 more

  • implement a coverflow UI in an Android web application

    - by ravidor
    I am trying to build a coverflow UI on an Android web application using HTML,CSS, JavaScript and some images. CSS 3D transforms, which are supported in Safari sine 2009 and on the iPhone since version 2.0, is not supported well on the Android. worse then that, the implementation is buggy on Android 2.1 and Android 2.2, and in each version in a different way. Any idea how can I build a coverflow UI on an Android web application using HTML,CSS, JavaScript and some images without CSS 3D transforms?
