    This is doubtless something obvious, but downloading the F# PowerPack from codeplex and running fshtmldoc produces this error: clements$ mono ./fshtmldoc.exe FSharp.PowerPack.dll Processing 'FSharp.PowerPack.dll'... Unexpected failure while writing HTML docs: An exception was thrown by the type initializer for Microsoft.FSharp.Metadata.AssemblyLoader This is using mono 2.6.3, F# 2.0 1.9.9.9, & OS X 10.6.3 on a 32-bit intel processor.     I'm trying to set some env variable in OS X 10.6 (/etc/launchd.conf) setenv M2_HOME /usr/share/maven setenv M2 $M2_HOME/bin setenv MAVEN_OPTS '-Xms256m -Xmx512m' M2 and MAVEN_OPTS are not working. I tried with something like setenv MAVEN_OPTS -Xms256m\ -Xmx512m but still it doesn't work. Any idea of what is the correct synthax? Thanks

I'm not sure where the error starts, it's just a huge wall of text when executing sudo python setup.py install. But the last few lines are: ... collect2: ld returned 1 exit status lipo: can't open input file: /var/tmp//ccNKvQpP.out (No such file or directory) error: command 'gcc' failed with exit status 1 I've googled, but none of the results are working.

  • getting sound on .asf video on Mac OS X

    When I try to open the following video: http://streaming1.hss-win.rpi.edu/ondemand/cogsci/issues_in_cs/issues_in_cogsci_02_04_2009.asf I can get it but without any sound... I tried it both inside the browser (Firefox) and in QuickTime Media player but still it does not work. Any idea how to get this to work on Mac OS X? Using version 10.6. thank you.

I have looked around and some people are suggesting that this can be done in OS 3.2+ but posts seem to be from before the NDA was lifted.     I zipped a rails project from OS X and sent it to a colleague who works on Windows. He updated the source, zipped the whole project folder and sent the zip file back to me. After unzipping the project, I found that the file permissions information is kind of lost. For example, the script/server is changed from -rwxr-xr-x to -rw-r--r--. Is there a way to preserver the file permission flags, when transferring files between mac and windows? Thanks

E.g. this way: set theURL to "http://www.apple.com" set URLWithString to (call method "stringByAddingPercentEscapesUsingEncoding:" of theURL with parameter 30) The script interpreter in the "Applescript Editor" (10.6) does not understand the command "call method". - Is there an equivalent for "Applescript Editor" (10.6)?
