I want to track the change in a DB using Binary Log so that I can replicate these changes to other DB please do not give me hyperlinks for MySQL website. please direct me to find the solution I have looked for auditing options and created a script using Triggers for that, but due toi the Joomla DB structure it did'nt worked for me, hence I have to move on to Binary Log file concept now i am stucked in initiating the concept as I am not getting the concept of making the server master/slave, so can any body guide me how to actually initiate it via PHP?

    I'm trying to convert a bunch of movies into h.264 mp4's using FFMPEG. These movies are sourced from various portable camcorders such as the Flip Mino HD and the Kodak ZI8. One issue I'm having with video from the ZI8 is it seems to be causing FFMPEG to segfault.   • Best way to script checking whether a machine is on the corporate network

    I am writing a Powershell script to determine if a machine is on the corporate network. The machine may or may not be on the domain, so I want to check at "IP" level. Have written something to check by pinging a couple of servers on a couple of different subnets (to get around the risk of someone being on another (external) subnet with a host on the same IP.) Works, but it's a bit slow, and not especially "future-proof" - e.g. in 2 years time when I decomission the server it'll break. Is there a way I can use the dns suffix being given by the local dhcp server? Just direct me what I need to check - I can figure out the script. Ta, Ben

  • Sendmail relay out of Amazon EC2?

    I have a site running on CentOS 5.4 through Amazon EC2. Unfortunately, Amazon has had nothing but trouble with their entire IP range getting black listed from spam tracking services regularly. I need a mail server, so I setup an smtp server elsewhere that I want to send to, but I can't just send directly to it through PHP because the direct smtp request is way too slow. What I want to do is relay through sendmail, but I've never used sendmail before, so I have no idea how to configure it. All I want is for all emails sent from localhost to be relayed to one specific external server, but I don't know how to do that. I tried to find a tutorial online, but couldn't find anything that was particularly clear as to how I go about doing that. Can anyone help me out?

  • Nginx/FPM/PHP all php files say 'File not found.'

    i just installed nginx 1.1.13 and php 5.4.0 on a centos 5.8 final 64bit machine. Nginx and PHP/Fpm are running, and I can run php scripts via ssh command line, but in the browser I keep getting 'File not found.' errors on all my PHP files. This is how I have my nginx.conf handle PHP scripts: location ~ \.php$ { root /opt/nginx/html; fastcgi_pass unix:/tmp/fpm.sock; fastcgi_index index.php; fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME /opt/nginx/html$fastcgi_script_name; include fastcgi_params; } This is a direct copy/paste from my other servers, where it works fine with this setup (but they run older versions of php/fpm). Why am I getting those errors?

  • Using PowerShell, in Active Direcotry, how would I change all the DNS A records that have a given IP to a new IP?

    We've been moving data centers and I have a lot of old records that were not correctly but in DNS as CNAME records, but A records that have a direct IP (e.g. 192.168.100.n) and they're all moving to a new subnet (10.19.100.n). I just need to write a powershell script to change all those records. I don't understand how to iterate over all the entries in each of the zones. Also, all the examples I've seen involve adding new zones, but there aren't any examples I can find on modifying existing A records.

    I am currently setting up a windows 2008 server to host a website with multiple subdomains, all accessible only within the lan. also, there is no active directory. what I did is : 1 - computer name : 'web' 2 - in IIS, I added a site binding as 'site1.web' to the default web site 3 - added DNS role to the server 4 - added 'web' as principal zone in direct lookup zones (default options) 5 - added CNAME 'site1' From a client machine, in tcpip config I added the ip address of 'web' to the DNS list in addition to the ISP DNS. (client machine ip is from DHCP) Now browsing to 'http://web' or 'http://site1.web' works correctly. My question is, is it possible throught additional steps in the server to have the websites accessible without requiring the DNS config in all the client machines ? thanks in advance

Example 1: Alot of visitors leave the website on a specific page, this could be because there aren't enough forwards / links on that page so that the visitors don't see a reason to continue their travel on the website. Example 2: Your traffic sources are 70% direct visits, 28% redirects from other websites and 2% by search engine. You could say that your website is not easily findable in search engines which could be interpreted as a sign that your keywords and/or meta description aren't good enough to be found. I'd like to hear some from other people!

  • Outlook 2007 - Fwd all mail from one mailbox to another email

    I have two separate mailboxes setup in Outlook. My main everyday one (call this A), and another one which is where clients questions go direct to (call this B) I have a few rules setup on my main inbox. I need to setup a new rule to fwd all incoming email to B, to another colleague. If this was for mailbox A, it would not seem to hard and I would basically follow the instructions here. However, I cant see a way of applying rules to separate MailBoxes. - Does anyone know how to do this?

Example: http://internalHost Instead of http://internalHost.example.com I would like to redirect users / rewrite URLs so that everything will use the FQDN. Here's the catch: I don't want to set ServerName explicitly. (This is for a product which will be deployed in multiple intranets so we can't know the value of ServerName ahead of time). According to: http://wiki.apache.org/httpd/CouldNotDetermineServerName Apache uses a reverse lookup to determine a default FQDN. How can I make use of/reference that FQDN that Apache is using for a mod_rewrite or redirect?

  • Apache 410 Gone instructions not working with mod_alias nor mod_rewrite

    Apache 2.2 seems to be ignoring instructions to return a 410 status. This happens for both mod_alias's Redirect (using 410 or gone) and mod_rewrite's RewriteRule (using [G]), being used inside a .htaccess file. This works: Redirect 302 /somewhere /gone But this doesn't: Redirect 410 /somewhere That line is ignored (as if it had been commented) and the request falls through to other rules (which direct it to an unrelated generic error handling script). Similarly, trying to use a RewriteRule with a [G] flag doesn't work, but the same rule rewriting to a script that generates a 410 does - so the rules aren't the problem and it seems instead to be something about 410/gone that isn't behaving. I can workaround it by having a script sending the 410, but that's annoying and I don't get why it's not working. Any ideas?

  • OWA (Outlook Web Access) won't give user a link to attached document. Gives "Open as Web Page"

    I have been testing OWA and have found that when there is an attached file on a message it shows the "Attachments:" then the file name (but no link) and then [Open as Web Page] link. The user has to click on that which opens a new window and previews the document, then the user gets "You are currently viewing:" followed by the file name. This time the file name is a link that they can open/download. This happens for Office documents and PDF file at least. How do I make it so users can get a direct link to the file on the original message window?

I dont want the request to be received by the tomcat server and process it. For performance based concerns i want this request to be handled at apache level. with all the research i was still unable to get this to run; RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{REQUEST_METHOD} OPTIONS RewriteRule .* - [R=200m] can somebody assist me with what rewrite rule should be there? or is there an alternative to RewriteEngine?     Hi I want to use paltalk, which is a kind of chat software, but the ports that this applications uses are closed in my country. What I need to do is to use a proxy server. Unfortunately the software itself does not provide a proxy setting. I though it would be possible to run paltalk on an O.S. installed on a virtual machine (say virtualbox) and configure the network setting of virtual machine to direct all its traffic through a proxy on host Operating system, but I could not find a way to do so neither. can anyone please help me?

  • How to correctly set up iWARP? Preferably on loopback

    iWARP is a protocol for doing remote direct memory access (RDMA) on top of TCP/IP, so that it can work with Ethernet and other network types as opposed to Infiniband. It works with many of the standard IB interfaces - the IB verbs, for example - so it's all pretty transparent. I'm doing some IB-verbs programming (mostly for the sake of learning about how they work better), and it'd be wonderfully convenient for me if I could use iWARP to do RDMA over my loopback interface, so that I could test some of my code without getting on our IB-connected cluster. :-) But I cannot figure out how to get a "local development environment" set up: there are no tutorials I'm aware of for even setting up iWARP from scratch on a server or a network interface. Can anyone give me a tutorial or point me in the right direction? Environment is Fedora 16 running in VirtualBox.

  • FFmpeg creates emtpy (black) frames

    I have a set of images from a timelapse shot (172 JPG files) that I want to convert into a movie. I tried several parameters with FFmpeg, but all I get is a video with black frames (though it has the expected length). ffmpeg -f image2 -vcodec mjpeg -y -i img_%03d.jpg timelapse2.mpg The command above creates this video: http://sdm-net.org/data/timelapse2.mpg What I'm expecting is something like this (created with Time Lapse Assembler.app): https://vimeo.com/39038362 - This is my fallback option, but I'd really like to create timelapse movies from a script. I'm on OSX Lion (10.7.3) with FFmpeg version (0.10) installed via Homebrew. I also tried to find a proper version of mencoder for OSX, but this doesn't seem to be an easy task. Also, ImageMagick's convert doesn't seem to work nicely, it creates really bad output and it seems there's not much I can do about it...     I have a SMC7904WBRA-N ADSL modem/router that connects to the internet with a static IP given by the provider. I've received a RV082 to create a VPN connection which is having problems to connect to the remote VPN Server. After many tries we deduced that the SMC7904WBRA-N is being problematic with the NAT and I have been suggested to put the SMC router into the appropriate DSL bridging mode so the RV082 gets direct access to internet with the static IP. Can you give me any hints on how could this be done? Which mode is that?

  • Microsoft IME + Japanese: Force Hiragana input by default?

    I am using Windows XP SP3 and Windows 7. On both machines, I cannot make Hiragana the default input method. Is there a way to do this? In the IME tool bar, there is the option to set the "Input Mode." This is always defaulted to "Direct Input." I would like to default to Hirgana or Katakana. I have found the setting dialog for this, by right clicking on the IME toolbar - settings - Japanese IME Standard - Properties - Default Input Mode. This setting seems to have no effect, no matter the combination of selections in the dialogs. Is there a way to reliably set the default Input Mode?

  • How can I improve performance over SMB/CIFS for an application that has poor write speeds?

    I have a third party application that reads several large files and generates a third large file. Its performance is quite good when the generated file is stored on "local storage", i.e. either a direct attached or iSCSI-based disk. The source files that are read can be stored remotely on our NAS and accessed via SMB with little effect on performance. However, if we attempt to write the target file to any kind of SMB/CIFS share (Samba or Windows Server) the performance drops almost ten-fold. This is unacceptably slow in our case. Writing files to network shares is not otherwise slow. I can copy large files to SMB shares and get great performance - near what I would expect is possible given the disks and network in question. I have a theory that this application's problem with SMB shares has something to do with a lack of write caching over the share and perhaps lots of network roundtrips. Is this possible and is there anything that can be done about it?

  • maintaining redirects in nginx from an external source

    I am in the situation to give our marketing department the opportunity to maintain their redirects by their own. Until now, they passed the information to the IT department and we maintained it for them in nginx.conf. Some of these guys are quite familiar with redirections in IIS or even in apache but it is no option to give them direct access to the nginx configuration. I see, that there is no nginx support for .htaccess files which I could give access to and I would also prefer not to grant write access to an conf-file that nginx includes. I expect, that our marketing will break our nginx setup within hours... Is there a secure possibility without giving them access our the heart of our load balancer?

  • MAMP not opening the correct file

    I am a first time web app developer trying to develop a web application. I downloaded MAMP and have a simple index.html file in the htdocs folder. The apache root directory is also set to htdocs folder. But for some reason it would not execute index.html when i type localhost:8888. I used to have a different folder in htdocs and now the link is always directed to localhost:8888/folder instead of localhost:8888/index.html. How can i direct the MAMP to open index.html and not that folder?
