  Hey, if anyone could please help me then it would be much appreciated. Basically, I want to navigate to a new page once this animation has complete. • jquery to check if returned data object is empty

  I am loading content into a page with ajax that will have live click events attached to them. It seems like the first time I load this content everything works as expected. If I load this again, the events fire twice (when put breakpoints in the code). What am I doing wrong? Is there a way I can clear the dom of these elements before they get loaded again?

  Hi, I am using this plugin for my new site: http://colorpowered.com/colorbox/ The page in concern has two hyper links which are of the same class: a.emailQuote These both should open the same colorbox window which is done by the following code: $("a.emailQuote").colorbox({ transistion:"fade", title:true, iframe:true, scrolling:false, close:"Close this window", innerWidth:478, innerHeight:507, initialWidth:478, initialHeight:507 }); however when the colorbox window opens it seems to register that there are two windows so displays the previous, next arrows and the text that says this is image one of two. I was wondering if there was a way to fix this without hiding these elements with CSS.

• JQuery animate div "like" a Zoom

  I can never get these to work - sorry - but I I am trying to animate on a mouse over then "re-animate" on a mouse out. I can never get $('#xyz').hover(function(){'something',function(){'somethingelse'}); to work. Hope you guys can help. What I am trying to do is animate + and - 20px (top and left) on some absolutely positioned divs and then add 40px to the width height returning to the original position/width/height on mouse out. I haven't even got to the css widths/heights yet .... Here is my code (which is wrong - well it must be as it doesn't work :-) ) $('.box').hover(function(){ $(this).animate({'top':'-20','left':'-20'},function(){ $(this).animate({'top':'20','left':'20' }); }); Help really appreciated.   I know how to do plugins, but how do I do nested options like: var defaults = { spacing:10, shorten_to:50, from_start:0, from_end:2, classes: { test:'testing' } }; i know that isn't right, i just dont know how to write the proper syntax when I want to do something like this: $('#breadcrumbs').breadcrumbs({classes{test:'new_example'},spacing:12}) other suggestions are welcome, im in need of the ability to custom class names and there are 7, so rather than making something like test_class, example_class, etc id like it cleaner and neater like the example above.

• Can't see images used in slideshow or other jQuery plug-ins in Internet Explorer 8

  I am getting a weird error. I can see images in slideshow, lightbox, etc. in Firefox and Chrome but in Internet Explorer 8 there are no images. Something is wrong with JavaScript/jQuery I think.   When you use jquery UI dialog, all works well, except for one thing. When the browser is resized, the dialog just stays in it's initial position which can be really annoying. You can test it out on: http://jqueryui.com/demos/dialog/ Click on the "modal dialog" example and resize your browser. I'd love to be able to let dialogs autocenter when the browser resizes. Can this be done in an efficient way for all my dialogs in my app? Thanks a lot!

  Hi I am using jquery validate and the jquery version of tinymce. I found this piece of code that makes tinymce to validate itself every time something changes in it. Hi I am using the jquery validate with my jquery tinymce so I have this in my code // update validation status on change onchange_callback: function (editor) { tinyMCE.triggerSave(); $("#" + editor.id).valid(); }, This works however there is one problem. If a user copies something from word it brings all that junk styling with it what is usually over 50,000 characters. This is way over my amount of characters a user is allowed to type in. So my jquery validation method goes off telling me that they went over the limit. In the mean time though tinymce has cleaned up that mess and it could be possible now the user has not gone over the limit. Yet the message is still there. So is there a better function call I can put this in? Maybe tell tinymce to delay the valid when a paste is happening, or maybe a different callback? Anyone got any ideas?

These 10 TD elements all have an IDs with the prefix "foo" and a two digit number for its position (e.g., "foo01").   Is there a way of completely removing the styling of a button in Internet Explorer. I use a css sprite for my button, and everything looks ok. But when i click the button, it moves to the top a little, it makes it look out of shape. Is there a css click state, or mousedown? I don't know what triggers that state.   Annoyingly, the jquery ui's set a few css properties inline, making it impossible to override them in the stylesheet. I tried to override the values with jquery, but then they get changed back as soon as the control is interacted with.
