  • .htaccess https redirect best method

    I have searched through all the redirects posted buy others and cant quite find the answer to my problem. I have a website with over 3000 pages and we are getting duplication issues within google. We want to keep everything in the parent directory to be http except our contact.php and login.php page. We then have 3 folders that must be secured. admin, clients, customers I have tried using the following code in seperate .htaccess files for each folder, but I keep getting a conflict when I try and I am still trying to find a good solution for the home directory. RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} 80 RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} admin RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://www.website.com/$1 [R,L] Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • iPhone: Best Method for Passing Data to and from a Server

    I am developing an iPhone application that downloads data from a website. The website database is implemented in SQL and the site itself uses the classic ASP interface. I am unsure as to which method would be best for transferring data to and from the server. Both JSON and SOAP require XML processing and I'm not sure how that affects performance or which of those two is best. What would be the best method in general for data transfer given the server configuration we currently have? I very new to this field and I'm a bit confused. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Unsuccessful error detection of improperly declared method in GCC 4.2 compiler

    I am using C++ compiler GCC 4.2 in XCode 3.2.2. I have noted that the compiler will successfully compile a method foo even though there are no ellipses. The header and method are properly declared as foo(), but when I do a find and replace either by file or by program-wide it will miss approximately 2-3% of the changes [foo to foo(). This would not be critical if the compiler did not give an erroneous successful build. I have not found that this to occur with: foo(any parameter). Does anyone have any solution? Thank you.

Is there some sort of annotation that would allow the method to appear to accept raw MessageResponse objects but in actuality work the same as shown below?     I am trying to call the RenderAction Extension Method within my own Html Helper: System.Web.Mvc.Html.ChildActionExtensions.RenderAction(helper, "account", "login"); this is so that along with some additional logic, I would like all html helpers to use a common method name structure when calling it on the view: <%= Html.CompanyName().RenderAccount() %> but the problem I am having is that, asp.net will complain about not finding the actual route it needs to process. It does not take in the parameters of "controller" to be used as the action and "login" to be used as the action. It seems to only reference the current route. Any ideas how I can package up the RenderAction?

Is there any way of doing this? But if it was a method, why would it begin with a capital letter and has no return data type?     Hello, I created a powershell object via .net to invoke commands. When I invoke normal commands like 'Get-Process' I had no problems: ps.AddCommand("Get-Process").AddParameter(...).Invoke() but I'm not able to invoke a .net method with the syntax "[namespace.class]::method", just to make an example to invoke [System.IO.File]::Exists("c:\boo.txt"). I tried with ps.AddCommand("[System.IO.File]::Exists(\"c:\boo.txt\")").Invoke() ps.AddCommand("[System.IO.File]::Exists").AddArgument("c:\boo.txt\").Invoke() and some others. It always throws an exception which says that the command specified is not recognized. There is a way to invoke that type of command? Thanks

I dont want the request to be received by the tomcat server and process it. For performance based concerns i want this request to be handled at apache level. with all the research i was still unable to get this to run; RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{REQUEST_METHOD} OPTIONS RewriteRule .* - [R=200m] can somebody assist me with what rewrite rule should be there? or is there an alternative to RewriteEngine?     I use SPs and this isn't an SP vs code-behind "Build your SQL command" question. I'm looking for a high-throughput method for a backend app that handles many small transactions. I use SQLDataReader for most of the returns since forward only works in most cases for me. I've seen it done many ways, and used most of them myself. Methods that define and accept the stored procedure parameters as parameters themselves and build using cmd.Parameters.Add (with or without specifying the DB value type and/or length) Assembling your SP params and their values into an array or hashtable, then passing to a more abstract method that parses the collection and then runs cmd.Parameters.Add Classes that represent tables, initializing the class upon need, setting the public properties that represent the table fields, and calling methods like Save, Load, etc I'm sure there are others I've seen but can't think of at the moment as well. I'm open to all suggestions.

  • In Django, why is user.is_authenticated a method and not a member variable like is_staff

    Hello all, I've lost some time with a bug in my app due to user authentication. I think that it's a bit confusing but maybe someone can explain the reason and it will appear to me very logical. The user.is_staff is a member variable while user.is_authenticated is a method. However is_authenticated only returns True or False depending if the class is User or AnonymousUser (see http://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/topics/auth/) Is there a reason for that?     Possible Duplicate: Imaging new hard drive in Windows 7 laptop? I have to image my 320gb Laptop HDD before I send it in for repairs. The HDD is likely going to get replaced, and I would ideally like to be able to restore everything as I have it now without having to reinstall my OSes, programs and place all my files back again. I can make space on an external HDD I have, so am just looking for how I should go about this. Should I just use dd with a linux rescue cd? Or is there perhaps a more suitable program with its own rescue disk?
