    Hi, In the application I am developing, I would like to send messages in the form of JSON objects to a Django Server and parse the JSON response from the server and populate a custom listview. From the little JSON knowledge I have, I thought this format for the response from server { "post": { "username": "someusername", "message": "this is a sweet message", "image": "http://localhost/someimage.jpg", "time": "present time" }, } How much knowledge of JSON should I have to accomplish this purpose? Also it would be great if someone could provide me links of some tutorials for sending and parsing JSON Objects.

    Hello, I have made an application that is coded only in ActionScript 3.0, and uses HTML and JavaScript for the display. I would like to have the same result, but using Adobe AIR. I do not know Adobe AIR at all, so I was wondering if you could direct to some good tutorials that will teach me how I can move my .html/.js/.as files to Adobe AIR please.     What I want is this: Start: End: ---------------- ---------------- |asdf | | | ---------------- | stuff | | | | | ---------------- | asdf | ---------------- When you click asdf it should end up looking like the End box but the 'stuff' box should appear gradually so it looks like the asdf box is pulling down the stuff menu. When asdf is clicked again it should look like the stuff box is pulling up the asdf box and end at the Start position. Any tutorials on doing things like this?

    Does anyone know of any simple, concise tutorials for packaging DotNetNuke modules for DotNetNuke 4 and DotNetNuke 5? Preferably something concerning DotNetNuke 5.4, since that's what I'm running. The examples that I've seen all assume background knowledge, or they are about short-cuts to the existing process.     Hi All, I was wondering if anyone had any good tutorials around creating a gmail inbox star (favorite) ? EDIT: I guess I want to create something just like the stackoverflow star or gmail inbox star. I have a set of list items that i've added several controls to. One being a checkbox (for archiving, or batch deleting) and another I have a placeholder checkbox for favoriting. I'm just curious as to what the best approach is for making it snazzy with jquery.

  • What are the differences between GIT and SVN when it comes to merge conflicts solving.

    I keep hearing that branching in git is so much easier than in SVN, because it's easier to merge the branch back to trunk/master. I've read some tutorials, but they only covered basic merge conflicts ("Alice changed line 8 of code.cpp and at the same time Bob changed line 8 of code.cpp...") and there are no differences between SVN and all other distributed source control systems. Can you give me the examples of changes in branch that would cause troubles in SVN repository, but would be handled gracefully by git?

I bought the pragmatic book on deployment and it seems a little out of date since they're recommending subversion instead of Git. I can encrypt a file using the enc command with openssl however I can't seem to create a HMAC.
