  Hi, In VS2003, I am trying to find out the particular page where the request is coming from. I want to identify the exact aspx page name. Is there a way to only get the page name or some how strip the page name? Currently I am using the following instruction... string referencepage = HttpContext.Current.Request.UrlReferrer.ToString(); and I get the following result... "http://localhost/MyPage123.aspx?myval1=3333&myval2=4444; I want to get the result back with out any query string parameters and be able to identify the page MyPage123.aspx accurately... • Javascript is freezing the browser when running this code

  I am trying to get the value of a text input and check if there is any links in it and then take those links and make them into tags. But when I run this code, something is going wrong and it completely freezes the page. Basically, I want it to check for "http://" and if that exists, to keep on adding to the substr length until the end of the string/link. • Unable to pass attribute from controller to view

  I'm using Spring MVC 3 for a web app. In the app a URI template is supposed to be handled by a controller method, which then passes an attribute to a view. Currently, the controller does handle the request, and it even forwards to the correct view. However, it does NOT pass the attribute to the view. Below are the URI template, controller method and relevent jsp tags. Anyone see what is wrong? The document resource/values/strings.xml created for this ID: <string name="button1name"> CID </ string> But the document GurovPictures.java (this is my main activity) when I insert a line: Button but1 = (Button) findViewById (R.id.button1); This "button1" does not become blue like "editText1".   I have some c++ written package. Linux, gcc. I can modify compilation process (change Makefile, flags, etc.), but can not change C++ source code. One runs the package with different parameters, it does a job and exits. How to count: 1) Number of calls of function with specific name? 2) Number of calls of functions with specific signature? 3) Number of calls of functions where one of the parameters is of specific type i.e. std::string (type is specified by signature)? 4) and extra Number of calls of functions of STL objects, i.e. std::string copy constructor? (I mean count a number of calls during the run. ) I thought to do it with GDB, but I found it very tough to do (1) and have not found how to do (2)-(4) at all. All acceptable answers I will write here for humanity.

• How Can I Run a Regex that Tests Text for Characters in a Particular Alphabet or Script?

  I'd like to make a regex in Perl that will test a string for a characters in a particular string. This would be something like: $text =~ .*P{'Chinese'}.* Is there a simple way of doing this, for English it's pretty easy by just testing for [a-zA-Z], but for a script like Chinese, or one of the Japanese scripts, I can't figure out any way of doing this short of writing out every character explicitly, which would make for some very ugly code. Ideas? I can't be the first/only person that's wanted to do this.

• Progress Dialog on open activity

  hey guys, i've a problem with progress dialog on opening an activity (called activity 2 in example). The activity 2 has a lot of code to execute in this OnCreate event. final ProgressDialog myProgressDialog = ProgressDialog.show(MyApp.this,getString(R.string.lstAppWait), getString(R.string.lstAppLoading), true); new Thread() { public void run() { runOnUiThread(new Runnable() { @Override public void run() { showApps(); } }); myProgressDialog.dismiss(); } }.start(); The showApps function launch activity 2. if i execute this code on my button click event on activity 1, i see the progress, but she doesn't move and afeter i have a black screen during 2 or 3 seconds the time for android to show the activity. If i execute this code in the OnCreate of Activity2 and if i replace the showApps by the code on OnCreate, Activity1 freeze 2 seconds, i don't see the progress dialog, and freeze again 2 seconds on activity 2 before seeing the result. An idea ?

  Alright I'm currently lost on a particular assignment I have for a class. I've seen many examples of this app but none of them see to help my problem is as follows: Write a Sub procedure "DisplaySquare" to display the solid square. The size should be specified by the integer parameter "size". The character that fills the square should be specified by the string parameter "fillCharacter. Use a For...Next statement nested within another For...Next statement to create the square. The outer For...Next specifies what row is currently being displayed. The inner For...Next appends all the characters that form the row to a display string. So it should come out like as follows: if a user enters "8" and "#" ######## ######## ######## ######## ######## ######## ######## ######## Any help would be appreciated.

  For containers such as std::map< std::string, std::unique_ptr< Foo >>, it looks like emplace() has yet to be implemented in stdc++ as of gcc 4.7.2. Unfortunately, I can't store Foo directly by value as it is an abstract super-class. As a simple, but inefficient, place-holder, I've just been using std::map< std::string, Foo* > in conjunction with a std::vector< std::unique_ptr< Foo >> for garbage collection. Do you have a interim solution that is more efficient and more easily replaced once emplace() is available?

• Can SQLite file copied successfully on the data folder of an unrooted android device ?

  I know that in order to access the data folder on the device, it needs to be rooted. However, if I just want to copy the database from my assets folder to the data folder on my device, will the copying process works on an unrooted phone? The following is my Database Helper class. From logcat, I can verify that the methods call to copyDataBase(), createDataBase() and openDataBase() are returned successfully. However, I got this error message android.database.sqlite.SQLiteException: no such table: TABLE_NAME: when my application is executing rawQuery. I'm suspecting the database file is not copied successfully (cannot be too sure as I do not have access to data folder), yet the method call to copyDatabase() are not throwing any exception. What could it be? The approach I am considering is for each string look at all other strings and find the common characters and where differing characters are, trying to find sets of strings that have the most in common, but I fear that this is not very efficient and may give false positives. Note that this is not the same as 'How do I detect groups of common strings in filenames' because that assumes that a string will always have a series of digits following it.   Hi, How can I setup Eclipse to stop at the point an exception occurred. I have an Eclipse breakpoint setup to break on an exception. In the code example below, the problem I'm having is Eclipse tries to open the Integer source code. Is there any way to just have debugger break at the point shown in my code example? If I move down the stack trace, I will get to this line, it'd be nice if there's a way to do this without the "Source not found" window coming up. How do I "convert" the string into a referrence to Klass2 (or whatever the user might input), or how could I else would I achieve this behavior?
