• Cross-domain jQuery using YQL gives robots.txt error

  On the page http://qxlapps.dk/test.htm I am trying to perform an Ajax load from another domain, qxlapp.dk. I am using James Padolsey's xdomainajax.js plugin from: http://james.padolsey.com/javascript/cross-domain-requests-with-jquery/ When I open my test page, I get no output, but FireBug shows the JSON result, including the error message: "forbidden":"robots.txt for the domain disallows crawling for url: http://qxlapp.dk/projects/dagens_kup/show.php". The robots.txt on the qxlapp.dk domain contains the following: User-agent: Yahoo Pipes 2.0 Allow: / User-agent: * Allow: / So I don't see what the problem is? Shouldn't it pull the page just fine with those settings?

• Where is the .NET Framework Global Assembly Cache?

  Hi, I installed the VS2010 and .NET 4.0, then I compiled an assembly and ran the gacutil using the exe available on %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.0A\Bin\NETFX 4.0 Tools The output of the executable said the assembly was sucessfully installed on Global Assembly Cache. However, when I go to %WINDIR%\assembly folder I cannot find the assembly I installed using the .NET Framework 4.0 gacutil. I've seen some posts saying the .NET Framework 4.0 has a separated GAC, but what I haven't found was where it is located. May someone to help me to check where can I see the Global Assembly Cache of .NET Framework, as it used to work on previous version (%WINDIR%\assembly)?

• IE8 + Jquery ajax call giving parsererror : for json data which seems valid in Firefox

  The ajax call works fine in FF. the data returned is in JSON here is an example from FF firebug - {"noProfiles": "No profiles have been created, lets start now !"} When I try to print the error in IE8 (& in compatibility modes as well), it says "parsererror". But the output seems to be valid JSON. Here is the ajax function call I'm making. • Some unit tests fail in automated Team Build task

  I have an odd situation. I have a suite of unit tests that pass on my dev machine. They pass on the build machine if run from visual studio. But 5 of them reliably fail during the automated build. There is nothing noteworthy about the ones that fail that I can see (and I've stared at them a long time). Anyone seen anything like this? Is there a way to see the test output in the Team Build log? All I get is Passed or Failed messages, but not the Assert message. Thanks!

• Search and display buisness locations on MKMapView

  Hello, I'm trying to find a way to search for a business, such as "grocery stores" and display them on a google map around the users current location. This used to be pretty simple with the old URL style of launching the apple map location but I can't find out how to do it with the MKMapView. I understand that I'll need to use the MKAnnotations classes but my problem is with finding the data. I've tried plugging in the URL below to get the info from google but the size of the data seems way too large. http://maps.google.com/maps?q=grocery&mrt=yp&sll=37.769561,-122.412844&z=14&output=kml Is there an easy way to just set a property that tells the MKMapView to search for a keyword and display all matching business around my current location? Or does anybody know how to get this information from google?

  Hi, I get the following exception at times: com.ibm.db2.jcc.b.gm: [jcc][t4][2030][11211][3.50.152] A communication error occurred during operations on the connection's underlying socket, socket input stream, or socket output stream. Error location: Reply.fill(). Message: Connection reset. ERRORCODE=-4499, SQLSTATE=08001 The problem is that, the code executes successfully for quite some time and then suddenly I get this exception. However it runs perfrectly when I run the code again.   I've been trying for a couple of days now to learn UDK, but I seem to be stuck at making that leap to understanding how everything works together. I understand the syntax, that's all well and good, and I pretty much get how classes and .ini files interact. As for the API, I have the entire reference as pretty decent Doxygen-style HTML output. What I'm looking for is a sort of intermediate tutorial on game creation from scratch (as opposed to modding UT3 itself), more advanced than just learning language syntax, but not yet to the level of going through the API step by step. I'm looking for some guide to the structure of the internals - how GameInfo and PlayerController interact, where Pawn comes in, etc. - a way to visualize the big picture. Does anyone have a particular favorite intermediate-level tutorials (or set of tutorials) that they used when first learning UDK?

  I need to extract Voip log from a D-Link router, so I've setup a little python script that executes a command in this router via telnet. My script does a "cat /var/log/calls.log" and returns the result, however... it also sends non-important stuff, like the BusyBox banner, etc... How can I ignore lines from 1 to 6 and the last 2 ? • Debugging ASP.NET Strings Downloaded to Browser (Montréal instead of Montréal)

  I'm downloading a vCard to the browser using Response.Write to output .NET strings with special accented characters. Mime type is text/x-vcard and French characters are appearing wrong in Outlook, for example Montréal;Québec .NET string shows as Montréal Québec in browser. I'm using this vCard generator code from CodeProject.com I've played with the System.Encoding sample code at the bottom of this linked MSDN page to convert the unicode string into bytes and then write the ascii bytes but then I get Montr?al Qu?bec (progress but not a win). Also I've tried setting content type to both us-ascii and utf-8 of the response. If I open the downloaded vCard in Windows Notepad and save it as ANSI text (instead of default unicode format) and open in Outlook it's okay. So my assumption is I need to cause download of ANSI charset but am unsure if I'm doing it wrong or have a misunderstanding of where to start. Update: Looking at the raw HTTP, it appears my French characters are being downloaded in the unexpected format so it looks like I need to do some work on the server side... (full size)

• Why is my movie clip instance null?

  I have 2 movie clips in my scene, one is charlie brown running and another is lucy lifting a football. The movie clip instances are aptly named: lucyLifting and charlieRunning. When I get to frame 75, I run the following code: stop(); trace(lucyLifting); trace(charlieRunning); lucyLifing.stop(); charlieRunning.stop(); and I get the following output: [object MovieClip] null Why isn't it recognizing my second movie clip instance? • Bug Running Android Tutorial HelloTabWidget under SDK 1.5: "setCurrentTag(getIntent())"

  does not compile. Indeed: even in 1.5, this api, getIntent(), is already listed as deprecated. The error message I get complains that getIntent() does not return a String, but setCurrentTab() expects a string. If I guess and change the line to read: "tabHost.setCurrentTab(1); // was setCurrentTab(getIntent())", then it compiles, builds, but does not run. I get the "stopped unexpectedly" error message from the emulator. I cannot even get Log.d to output, so it seems that it stops 'unexpectedly' very early. So the first and main question is: what is the correct fix to "tabHost.setCurrentTab(getIntent())" in the final line of OnCreate() in http://developer.android.com/resources/tutorials/views/hello-tabwidget.html? The second and simpler question is: did I guess right in replacing 'mTabHost' with tabHost in the one place where that occurs?

Do you know why this would be? Why won't netbeans deploy my application so I can run and test it?

  Hi all, I keep receiving an error with the following code. I am trying to make a function that will format a field (content=0.0032) into a varchar/percent (content=0.32%). At the moment i'm just trying to get format to work, and it throws up an error "Error Code : 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'len);" The function definition for "Format" is "Format(X,d)" where x is the number and d is the number of decimal places to round too. • Remove redundant CSS rules

  I have several CSS files all being used in a large application; most are legacy, with one "main" css file that is the most current. This setup came about after a rebranding, and instead of redoing all of the CSS, we simply added a new CSS file that would override the rules from the legacy files. So now, I'd like to distill all of this CSS (1000's of lines) into 1 file. NOTE: I don't want to simply combine the files (as in copy/pasting them all into 1 file); I need an application to semi-intelligently look at the rules, reduce them down to only the effective rules (after inheritance), but I can't find anything like that. Example; given: /* legacy.css */ .foo { color: red; margin: 5px; } ..and: /* current.css */ .foo { margin: 10px; } I need a tool to output: /* result.css */ .foo { color: red; margin: 10px; } Does such an application exist?

No unmanaged code, nothing going out of .net sandbox. So does any one know such Pure C# open source PCM to Ogg convertor? What do I need: Open Source Libs for encoding. Tutorials and blog articles on How to do it, about etc. BTW: why Pure C#? - because Silverlight 4 does not support unmanaged or just not C# DLL's. BTW2: this question is similar to this one but it is different because Ogg is Open Source, free while mp3 will not be free until 2010
