  • What bugs apply to the different FindBugs reportLevels?

    According to the Ant task, the report level is a low/medium/high setting that would look for bugs of different criticallity levels. However, there isn't anything I could find that explains which of the bugs apply to these different reporting levels. Is there somewhere that provides this, even if it is something I need to look at within the source?

  • iPod touch debugging: Error on install/run only if app exists on device already?

    Hi all, I am using an iPod to test an app. The device is all set up with the right provisioning profiles, etc-- that's not really the issue. But every time I start the app from Xcode on the device, I get the "A signed resource has been added, modified, or deleted." error from the Organizer window. Wait, I know, you think it's a provisioning profile problem. But here's the kicker: if I just delete the app from the iPod (using the main screen) and try again, it works fine. I only get this error when the app is already installed. The other kicker is that this behavior doesn't happen on an iPhone that I have for occasional testing-- on that device, I can start/restart/restart indefinitely. But using the iPod, my compile-run-test cycle is annoyingly slow since I have to manually delete the app each time. Any ideas? I'm using Xcode 3.2.2 (prerelease) FWIW. The iPod has stock OS 3.1.2 on it. Thanks!

    Hi, Being fairly new to SSIS and the ETL process, I was wondering if there is anyway to loop though a record set within a DataFlowTask and pass each row (deriving parameters from the row) into a Stored Procedure (the next step in the ETL phase). Once i have passed the row into the stored procedure, I want the results from each iteration to be written to a Table. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks.

  • SVN Import Force for importing existing file

    I am creating a text file and a zip file for a tag automatically with MSBuild. My msbuild project is called by cruisecontrol.net. The text file is always going to be latest.txt and the zip file will be (version).zip (so it will be different every time). I do not want to commit these files back to my trunk, so I discovered svn import. On the first time, it works for both. On successive runs, it fails since latest.txt already exists in the repository. Do I need to use svn import --force or something else to get these two files pushed up to my repository?

    My understanding of the Git pack file format is something like: Where the table is 32-bits wide, and the first three 32-bit words are the pack file header. The last row of 32 bits are the first 4 bytes of an entry. As I understand it, the size of the entry is specified by consecutive bytes with the MSB set, followed by compressed data. In the first byte whose MSB is not set, is the MSB part of the compressed data, or is it a gap? If it's part of the compressed data, how can you guarantee that when the data is compressed that bit won't be set?

    I'm asking this on behalf of a certain corporation: http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudio/en-us/watch-it-live Things to bear in mind: It's 8:30 AM at different times depending on where you are in the world. For example, where I am, it is already 10 AM, whereas in Redmond it's still only 2 AM. That's probably the main thing, I guess.     Are there any circumstances where it is favourable to manually create a stub type, as opposed to using a mocking framework (such as Rhino Mocks) at the point of test. We take both these approaches in our projects. My gut feel when I look at the long list of stub versions of objects is that it will add maintenance overhead, and moves the implementation of the stub away from the point of test.

  • How do you implement a good profanity filter?

    Many of us need to deal with user input, search queries, and situations where the input text can potentially contain profanity or undesirable language. Oftentimes this needs to be filtered out. Where can one find a good list of swear words in various languages and dialects? Are there APIs available to sources that contain good lists? Or maybe an API that simply says "yes this is clean" or "no this is dirty" with some parameters? What are some good methods for catching folks trying to trick the system, like a$$, azz, or a55? Bonus points if you offer solutions for PHP. :) Edit: Response to answers that say simply avoid the programmatic issue: I think there is a place for this kind of filter when, for instance, a user can use public image search to find pictures that get added to a sensitive community pool. If they can search for "penis", then they will likely get many pictures of, yep. If we don't want pictures of that, then preventing the word as a search term is a good gatekeeper, though admittedly not a foolproof method. Getting the list of words in the first place is the real question. So I'm really referring to a way to figure out of a single token is dirty or not and then simply disallow it. I'd not bother preventing a sentiment like the totally hilarious "long necked giraffe" reference. Nothing you can do there. :)

    Given two related tables (reports, report_fields) where there can be many report_fields entries for each reports entry, I need to allow the user to enter new report_fields, delete existing report_fields, and re-arrange the order. Currently I am using a DetailsView to handle the editing of the reports. I added some logic to handle report_fields, and currently it allows you to succesfully re-arrange the order, but i'm a little stumped as to the best way to add new items, or delete existing items. The basic logic I have is that each report_fields is represented by a . It has a description as the text, and a field for each field in the report_fields table. I use JQuery Sortable to allow the user to re-arrange the LIs.   • Have an unprivileged non-account user ssh into another box?

    I know how to get a user to ssh into another box with a key: ssh -l targetuser -i path/to/key targethost But what about non-account users like apache? As this user doesn't have a home directory to which it can write a .ssh directory, the whole thing keeps failing with: $ sudo -u apache ssh -o StrictHostKeyChecking=no -l targetuser -i path/to/key targethost Could not create directory '/var/www/.ssh'. Warning: Permanently added '<hostname>' (RSA) to the list of known hosts. Permission denied (publickey). I've tried variations using -o UserKnownHostsFile=/dev/null and setting $HOME to /dev/null and none of these have done the trick. I understand that sudo could probably fix this for me, but I'm trying to avoid having to require a manual server config since this code will be deployed on a number of different environments. Any ideas? However using the require output size of 320*480 everything is distorted and messed up. I'm pretty sure it's the way I'm copying the framebuffer into the new 512*512 buffer.     Hi All, I am fairly new to WPF so forgive me if I am missing something obvious. I'm having a problem where I have a collection of AggregatedLabels and I am trying to bind the ItemCount of each AggregatedLabel to the FontSize in my DataTemplate so that if the ItemCount of an AggregatedLabel is large then a larger fontSize will be displayed in my listBox etc. The part that I am struggling with is the binding to the ValueConverter.   • Interop c# using a "long" from c++

    On my System: sizeof(long) in c++ is 4 aka 32bits sizeof(long) in c# is 8 aka 64 bits So in my Interop method declarations I've been substituting c++ longs with c# int's however I get the feeling this isn't safe? Why is a long the same size as an int in c++? And long long is 64bits? What's next a long long long long??
